Zimm and I boosted them in about an hour the other night. Find someone else who has it and you can do it with them. We can give you some pointers on how to make it faster. The MP would make Stotch and Therm's heads explode because of how boring it would be to actually play.
I know I already have 2 wins, because I was scared to end my streak back when you used to have to win 5 in a row.

And it has nothing to do with Radiata Stories. AT ALL. Different developers, different publishers, different directors, different composers...
Hm. Wonder what they were referring to with this in the top of the wiki article, then:

The development team also includes other members who had previously worked on Radiata Stories.
From what you're saying, nobody of import is included in that group. Can't tell from the article who all they have in common aside from Hiroshi Konishi, who is one of the character designers for both.

I was apparently not paying attention to all the commercials last night.  I was a bit surprised when I saw a local beer mailing list blowing up over a Budweiser commercial.  Then I read the link below and understood what started it all.  It really does not bother me except the pics of the anti-social hipster dudes in a couple shots.  Truth be told though, there are a LOT of those guys at craft beer events.  I think the entire thing makes AB Inbev look even more out of touch than anything.

Sounds good. I'd be playing it on the vita too.
I plan to play it myself, I just have no idea when. Since it isn't a rental, it isn't a priority. If you still haven't played it when I finally get to it, maybe we can help each other take care of it.

If you have already played it, I can always call in a favor from wren to make him help me out :)

OK, I'll admit that I missed that line from the article.

Regardless, I enjoyed Radiant Historia so much more than Radiata Stories in just about every conceivable way (yes, I know they're not the same type of RPG).

they made a commercial attacking their competition and trumpeting themselves. It's called marketing. No reason for this dude to get his panties in a bunch.

Agreed. While I agree with some of the things he said, he seems butt hurt about it while at the same time saying it makes AB Inbev look bad. Seems a bit like talking out of both sides of his mouth to me.

Wait wait wait.

aint this the same company who tried to say that bud is micro brewed because there are like 9 or something breweries around america?

I missed that ad during the game too, but it is pretty ridiculous. And that linked article is a great takedown on it. I like to think I'd feel the same if Miller had made the same ad, as I'm severely anti-Bud.

Them Bud drinkers are serious about their shit though. When I worked at a downtown St. Paul hotel, we had some big man convention group threaten to take their business somewhere else next year because our Irish hotel bar didn't have Bud on tap.

Stotch and I actually boosted the MP together a few months ago. I think I was watching something on twitch at the time because it was really boring, but I'm pretty sure stotch's head remained unexploded.

Yep, which is why I think the whole thing just makes them look silly. They are trying to market themselves on both sides and I can't help but laugh at it all. I love how they continue to spend millions on ads when it will make no difference. People who are going to only drink Bud are going to continue to without silly commercials. People who get introduced to craft and like it are going to continue drinking it.

Gimme those tips you were touting earlier. And be quick about it.
Only need to score once per match. After that, just have whoever is on defense blow up the guy on offense and then steal their ship token to end the round right then and there. That way you don't have to wait for the time to expire. Dude w/ 1 point wins. Switch it up and do it again. Repeat 6 more times. Trophies trophies trophies.

I did find it especially hilarious that they were making fun of an exact beer that a craft company they just bought makes.

Huh. I've no idea how, but apparently I've missed all this time that PoP: The Forgotten Sands exists. I thought Prince of Persia (2008) was the latest one made.

Looking at it, and how it follows the earlier trilogy, I guess I'll probably play Forgotten Sands after the trilogy and before Prince of Persia. Granted FS is newer but it seems a lot more in keeping with the style of the earlier games instead of the huge departure in story, gameplay, and design that Prince of Persia (2008) had.

How was Forgotten Sands, anyway? Looks fun from the brief gameplay video I watched.

Joystiq does this thing called 4 For February where people state 4 games to beat during the month. It's just a friendly competition to strike at the backlog. Anyone wanna join me? I had fun doing it last year.
Only skimmed the thread so maybe I missed this, but how far in to the game do you have to be to rule it out?

PoP 2008 remains the best PoP. Forgotten Sands wasn't bad in terms of how it hearkened back to the Sands of Time games and brought back Yuri Lowenthal to voice the Prince, but the original SoT is still better IMO.

Add to that one win for each of you needs to be a 7-0 skunk.

I just realized that to finish up the ssf4 online trophies I still need to play 580 ranked matches. Even if I managed to finish each one and start another in 2 minutes that's still 19 hours. No.

Dear god I wish that the ps4 version would have a shared trophy list.

Fun fact - I had most of the 200 vs matches done on mortal kombat 9 at one point and then GameSpy shutdown, mk moved to different hosting and the vs stats completely reset.

I say the same thing about Coke and Pepsi commercials. They waste so much money to me, but they also have so much to spend I doubt it matters much. Marketers will tell you they all need to keep making commercials to keep themselves in everyones consciousness bla bla bla.

I thought people would think Bud was stupid for that Bud Light Pac-Man ad.  Seriously, when the fuck has that ever happened to someone drinking anything...except maybe Absinthe or absolutely shitfaced.

I really liked forgotten sands, it's short and fun. Won't change your life, but it's the best pop game I've played having not played 2008.

I can only imagine the reaction of trophy-hunters who failed to get the 200 beforehand.

It is pretty fun. I dig all the PoP games for a variety of reasons. Sands of Time is easily the best PoP game, but sadly has not aged particularly well.

Vig is killing it with game recommendations today.

I think any sane trophy hunter avoids that game like the plague. It's got to be a 100+ hour plat (ok ps3t says 350+ hours but a lot of it is leaving your system on for days at a time). I don't think it's wildly difficult, but still.

The 200 matches trophy is still obtainable (I guess it's 1000 respect points which would really be 100 matches boosted in koth), you just have to start over now unless they imported old records since last I checked.

Fighting game trophy lists suck nuts.

Edit - I'll shut the fuck up now, but it is 200 matches and 2500 respect points. Whatever it's dumb and so is your face

The rules:

  • There are no rules.
  • Seriously, there are no rules. You can pick new games, old games or even titles that you stopped playing that one time during finals week in college because your academic life depended on it (it's cool, we've all been there). The only requirement is that you pick four games.
  • Start at the beginning of a game, or start where your old save file left off, it doesn't matter! We can't drive over to your house to force you to start a game over; we don't know where you live, after all.
Mailed it! The only goal is to complete a game for the first time. Doesn't matter if you abandoned it before or are starting from the beginning or whether you own or are renting it. I like all the lists already!

There are various types of trophy hunters. One group only wants to play games where the plat percentage is extremely low so they can brag about how elite they are. They love fighting games because they usually fall in that group unless it is a game like JoJo.

Since I am not part of that group, my rarest plats will almost likely stay the 2 UFC games I played. Even if their servers were not taken down, I would not expect the percentages to have gotten much higher. I rarely play fighting games, but I was really into the UFC at the time.

Thankfully work has been slow today (seriously, I think I have done 2 things all day) because Outlook has been sucking donkey balls all day.  I cant open, read, or delete an email without it taking 5 minutes to move.

I think I am going to have a Publix sub for dinner tonight since I have to go their for some groceries anyway.  I would stop and get the P SNOT approved sub from Firehouse if they still had one next door, but they left that location and now some shitty Greek place is there now.  I like Greek food, but apparently this place is no good.

I just checked and there's a Firehouse Subs about 18 minutes away from home. What was the sub in question? I hope it has mayo.
Brisket and Cheddar. It actually does come with mayo by default, which is mind boggling. Only other ingredient besides that and the 2 in the name is Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce.

Call about 10 minutes out so you do not have to wait forever. They usually take about that long for them to make it.

I had one for lunch but had them leave off the jizz of Satan.

I'm down for the 4 for Feb. Trying to beat at least 3-4 games a month for this year anyway.

Metal Gear Solid 2

Dust An Elysian Tale

Transistor

Danganronpa

Gonna go for the plat in Dust. Not sure about Transistor or Danganronpa yet. Dunno if I wanna deal with the 2nd play through on Transistor, and I haven't looked at the list for Danganronpa. Lol 5 playthroughs for MGS2.

When it rains, it pours.

also TehCro and I have a similar trophy battle. I keep giving him time to catch up cuz I have this damn addiction to CoD MP and now DA I mp, both of which have zero trophies...

oh yeah and 1st place CoD diamond division clanwar. wootwoot

and I saw Dredd on prime, I thought it was pretty awesome

I think I'll join in on this Finish Four February thing.

Kirby's Epic Yarn
The Darkness
Muramasa Rebirth
God of War: Ghost of Sparta/ Chains of Olympus (whichever is first chronologically)

I know the first one is for the Wii and there's no way to track that, but I've had it for two years and I have yet to play it. If that doesn't count though, then Xblaze: Code Embryo
