Not sure about on PS3, but the PC version of Darksiders had some achievement issues. Trophies just wouldn't pop for various things. It was fairly annoying.

 
So I went to lunch with a friend and he brought one of his other friends too.  Hadn't seen this guy in maybe a year or two, he has put on a lot of weight.  He was like 19 when I met him, 21 now so that is a time where people start putting on weight because they're still used to eating whatever the fuck they want with no repercussions.

But what was weird was the way this guy was gulping down water.  He had 3 full tall glasses, and would go back and shake the ice around and chew it and stuff for the older glasses while he was eating.  Even the waitress said "Wow, you drink a lot of water".  He probably would have even had a 4th tall glass of water if the waitress came around a bit more.

Isn't that possibly a sign of diabetes or something?  Should I tell my friend that his friend should test his blood sugar?  Cuz it's kind of a weird subject for my friend to have to bring up.

Darksiders 1 was the first game I beat on the ol' PS3.  That was a damn good damn fun game.  Yay for PS+.

Still have Darksiders 2 hanging out on my shelf in the "play the damn thing stoopid" pile.

 
Slim pickin's for the 35% off used games, movies, books, etc. at gohastings (code VALENTINE), but I was able to get a long out of print Mystery Science Theater 3000 pack (vol 2) for $30. Yesterday they had one of the more recent packs in stock, but by the time the code that included movies went live it was gone unfortunately. I dont know about diabetes, but maybe he is drinking a lot of water so he wont eat a lot?

Darksiders 2 had glitches too. I had an NPC relocate to a new area before giving me a side mission early in the game which made it impossible for me to get the platinum on that run.

Water is not good to drink when your mouth is on fire so that would be a dumb move if thats why he drank it all. Maybe he normally eats 24 wings and the water was keeping him from ordering more.

I can't remember exactly I think I beat the first one on XBox 360 and raged quit the second one. I wish I could remember this game better. I don't see it in my trophies or achievements though.

You play one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse and do Zelda things like going into a dungeon and finding an upgrade that is particularly helpful in the dungeon you find it in. Awesome boss fights. An undead horse. Savage skeleton smashings. Good times.

Beer doesn't help with spicy stuff much more than water. Do you seriously order milk when you have hot wings?

 
Dont you just take some medications and watch your blood/sugar levels with diabetes?  I would take that all day long and even on Sundays if you would give me a few million at the same time.

Hell I would take Magic Johnson HIV/AIDS if you gave me all his money too.

Well Type 1 you have to give yourself insulin shots. Type 2 you just have to be a bit cautious about what you eat and take meds I think. It still sucks though.

The hot wings at hooters dont make your mouth burn. I dont want my mouth to burn so I order what I can handle. You said maybe his mouth was on fire! If your mouth is on fire you drink milk!

But yeah I will order chocolate milk if we go out to breakfast. And its fuck ING DELICIOUS!

 
I think I'm going to try to cut down on the soda I drink. I stopped drinking soda for a month before and lost a lot of weight. I need to get into drinking water all the time so I can break drinking calories.

I saw the doctor yesterday and the blood test was perfect with cholesterol and blood sugars.

I've been having stomach aches the last week and I'm assuming it's the damn pills I got to take for nerve damaged in my hands.

I hate pills.

Well, there's different levels of it, I guess. I don't need insulin. I just take a couple pills every day and watch my carb/sugar intake. I still have both feet, so I guess I'm doing it right so far.

The only thing I truly miss is Fruity Pebbles. Just about everything else I loved has a sugar-free version that's adequate.

 
Looks like it's going to be a pretty big sale.  Just a warning...

EDIT: Eh, I take that back a bit.  Some decent deals so far though.

This doesn't seem to fit the love/hate theme well at all. Though I might be in for Legends at that price. Maybe Re;Birth 1.

 
Harry I dont mean to make light of your disease, but if all you have to do is watch your blood sugar levels and take a couple pills it sounds like you got the better end of the deal.  It turns out 90% of the world is taking pills and meds for something now so your not really far off from the norm.  If at all.
