n yeah Rivals is alot like Hot Pursuit, but with cops also. The cops actually need to be in this one cuz there are 2 story modes. You can change whenever you want. I thought it was awesome. Upgrading is there and it is also arcade like in that you are using 'powers' like super boosts and calling in spike strips/helicopters/etc. I thought it was great on ps3 so I picked it up again on sale. You also get to choose some of your missions check lists based on whether you want to just race, or take down drivers or whatev. 3 options give you 3 different types of cars, but I think you need to do all checklists anyway to get plat. It is lots of fun, but more like Hot Pursuit than Burnout Paradise. I didn't really care for Most Wanted so hopefully you like Rivals more.

 
Kmart across the street from work is closing. I got some ridiculous video game clearance deals there years ago. Total crap since then. Once they pulled out the price scanners it wasn't worth bothering with.

 
Rivals doesnt have any "collectables" like gates and billboards to crash through so we wont have to hear Gator, Mild and Owl complain as much.

Plus, its pretty.  Most Wanted on Vita was pretty stripped graphically.

I liked the billboards and gates in Burnout, jackass! They were fun when you didn't have to worry about getting every last single one of them and could just add it into the rest of the gameplay. There were way too many in Most Wanted. While I am glad they had maps for 2 of the 3, they definitely should have had them for all 3 and preferably all on one screen and not 2 different ones.

Which just gives me another piece of paper to lose during my trip. I end up sitting my list down and forgetting it halfway through the store most times.

Dosen't the idea of a paper coupon really seem ---outdated?

Thanks for posting, Crunch. I have my doubts about that working with PS4 (nased on nothing other than hearing you are supposed to upgrade it using an internal drive), but I have a good feeling it will work with my Xbox one. Checking in the XBL thread now.. (unless the always knowledgeable Edlritch already knows).

No, it has to be a 2.5 Serial ATA drive. Anything that is USB is a non-starter. That is an external only solution.

The main hope for cheap upgrade drives for a PS4 is to see if that Nyko thing ever gets released so you can use 3.5 in drives instead of 2.5.

I meant, you take the drive out of the case and put it in the PS4. Then put the old drive into the case as an external for whatever.

Ya, really wish they offered the old tier of "buy 50 get $X" as well as I could probably get to $50 pretty easy, but to get to $100 I would probably have to buy stuff that will drop in price pretty soon anyway which would defeat the point.

True, but sometimes I post articles on the same topic posted by several websites because one site might have info that the other doesn't. The wording of the first article made me suspect it was satire, but I had to read the comments to confirm that.

That would be pretty cool. Especially with how the space suits just crumple and are empty when they get hit.

Makes me think of the Doctor Who episode in the library. Even more so since I'm at the part where you're dealing with the
other person which I'm guessing is sharing the consciousness of both people that were testing the device and they're fighting for control.

Their reasoning in that made me very upset because it was so inane. The base 3DS is already basically discontinued in the US with most major retailers here barely carrying it if at all and the 2DS took it's spot. BBY stopped, Target stopped, not sure about Walmart. They say they want to amke the decision easier for the consumer but then they give it that confusing ass name and are going to keep both XL models around. Blargh, nerd rage.

($80 spent - $15 in credit) / 2 = $32.50 per year of PS+ which is less than the standard deal of around $35.

Well new internet with Century link has been bad... as far as their router in our house.  So I just spent $60 on getting powerline adapters for three rooms in our house.  Hopefully it helps with some of my gaming lag and the inability to remote play very well on the PS TV.  Everyone raves about it and I hope it just brings a stable connection to each item.

Which is why I have them scan the code off my phone. But that doesn't work for you either.

I know Rivals has cops like Most Wanted did, and I hated the cops. It felt like a completely useless game lengthening tactic to me. Just give me arcade style racing without a bunch of other nonsense involved. I could have done without the whole upgrade thing too.

It got especially bad in one of the Movie DLC races. 7 other racers and the MW level is set to 5 or 6 so there are constantly cops cars jumping out from nowhere and wrecking me.
