CAGiversary!
Tyler loves Grindr.
I really liked it. I paid $2.70 for it from a recent sale, so I don't know how I'd feel if I would've paid the full $15 at launch or whatever. Plot stuff aside, I enjoyed all the gameplay aspects of it. There were even a few really decent platforming parts. My only complaint would probably be the length of it.Yeah the ending was very emotionally manipulative. Good game, but not great.
What are you, 12?Dear Diary,
Even though this joke has run its course, I like to play shit out.
I am really looking forward to watching The Order tonight. Its going to be an awesome movie!
What?!? No PEN!? SHE JIPPED YOU MAN!!!My Order of 1886 story:
So I went to pick up my CE and it was MINT. As I was walking out this guy says to me oh you picked it up, and then tells me how he can't wait to get his copy. This lady wearing a The Order of 1886 shirt and saw my CE. She congratulates me on picking it up and asks me if I'm getting Bloodborne. I told her I have it preordered and the Souls series is one of my favorites. She told me I don't have anything Bloodborne on me but you'll like this. She asked if I was a Sony fan and of course my answer was YES and hands me a Playstation 20th Anniversary coin in a small black bag.
Here's what the coin looks like in picture 3 & 4.

I could careless about that pen. The coin is pretty damn nice. What?!? No PEN!? SHE JIPPED YOU MAN!!!
I read this story totally expecting the hook to be her lifting up her shirt and showing you a Souls tattoo on her tits.My Order of 1886 story:

That would be key but I'm not Velo.I read this story totally expecting the hook to be her lifting up her shirt and showing you a Souls tattoo on her tits.
Yeah. that game and Brothers are very strange. Papo Y Yo is kind of creepy.Of what I have played of Papo Y Yo so far the subtext behind the story is more interesting than the actual gameplay, you can tell the developer is working through some childhood issues. We'll see if I still feel that way when I finish but so far I think it would have worked better as an animated short.
I expect you will have the same feeling at the end. It is not exactly subtle. I agree that the story is better than the gameplay.Of what I have played of Papo Y Yo so far the subtext behind the story is more interesting than the actual gameplay, you can tell the developer is working through some childhood issues. You don't have GCU at Best Buy?I'm interested in playing The Order, but I don't want to pay $60 and deal with trading it in, so I'll wait til it's cheaper in a few months.
i do. And I don't want to pay $48 either. You don't have GCU at Best Buy?
I think it would have been better for him to save the quote he has at the beginning of the game for after the ending of the game. It's kinda like those movies that don't have enough faith in their metaphor so they have the need to spell it out at the top (like the Hurt Locker) so that you look at the movie the way THEY want you to look at it instead of having your own, unbiased take on it.I expect you will have the same feeling at the end. It is not exactly subtle. I agree that the story is better than the gameplay.
Um...oops?How is it that I've been asleep all day long and no one in here has said happy birthday to simmias (or pointed out that he and velo share the same birthday)? It's in our TT news feed. Vig, you even commented on it FFS!!!
Happy birthday simmias and velo from your friendly neighborhood bully.
I'm starting to wonder why I ever thought you were cool....I love how everyone is crucifying this bully and a lot of you are the same guys that were constantly bullying me and cro last night with gay jokes.
Watch out glitcher!!! Lest you be pummeled into a fiery grave as punishment for your sins!!!There are three parts in the game you can glitch through environments which gets you parts of a level you shouldn't skipping parts of the game or even skipping chapters. Two of the hardest parts have glitches. Chapter 4 where you investigate the crash scene, there is a way to glitch around a wall that explodes after you kill a ton of guys. once you get around the wall no more enemies spawn for the chapter.
Chapter 5's hardest part is called the blue room/flood room, you can get the guys to appear without falling into the room and then pick them off from above.
Then you can skip chapters 13, 14, and 15 by glitching through a wall to an area you can't get to until later bypassing those chapters. Overall it is almost an hour worth of gameplay that can be skipped. Last night I went from chapter 4 all the way to 11. Then I have just been using a video guide on where to stand and where each guy goes. been speeding through.
so paying 48 plus tax and trading for $44 isn't worth it? not sure how you can get it cheaper than $8 later on?i do. And I don't want to pay $48 either.
Can't we just look in the 4ForFeb spreadsheet in the OP? There's at least 10 of us playing it:Since we are (mostly) all bored waiting for the clock to run out on work, how about a new Poll, if we are playing the Order this weekend.
Not worth the hassle of trading it in.so paying 48 plus tax and trading for $44 isn't worth it? not sure how you can get it cheaper than $8 later on?
What game is this from?
I've never seen it before. Definitely didn't get one of those. Damn Sony pissing on their most diehard fans who live and breathe only PlayStation and know no other consoles. What jerks!I could careless about that pen. The coin is pretty damn nice.
I wonder if Cleaner got one of those coins at the event.
The mustache must be weighing him down.I hereby declare the main character of The Order as the slowesting walker in any video game ever.
this is the second time the dlc collection has been on sale, so i'll probably just wait. might be a nice thing to work on over time, but might as well hold off until i play the main game at least.Pretty sure each DLC is just a new character with new moves and new bosses, but it all takes place in the same world. So replaying all the same areas over and over does not really sound appealing, though the new boss fights would be fun.
I imagine quite a few folks also said they were playing it back at the start of the month when we came up with the lists, but that might have changed after talk of the length and reviews started coming out. Can't we just look in the 4ForFeb spreadsheet in the OP? There's at least 10 of us playing it:
AvengedBacklog
bestkeeper
Bums
Cleaner
Eld (bonus)
jimbo (bonus)
jkam
Pete/NotPete

What I'm playing now, Papo Y Yo. I just thought it was so strange how he lovingly cradles it, yet has the option to splat it against the wall (which I guess makes sense based on what the frog represents). What game is this from?
Ah, I never made it that far. It's a game I need to go back to. Actually, it might have been a demo or something that I played and bought on sale. What I'm playing now, Papo Y Yo. I just thought it was so strange how he lovingly cradles it, yet has the option to splat it against the wall (which I guess makes sense based on what the frog represents).
That's true. There's also the possibility of those who opted not to participate in 4ForFeb but might still be interested in the game.I imagine quite a few folks also said they were playing it back at the start of the month when we came up with the lists, but that might have changed after talk of the length and reviews started coming out.
Definitely play the game first before grabbing the DLC. I didn't care for it much. For a lot of the fights artificial barriers will pop up on either side of the screen to keep you from leaving. The barriers just stop you, not enemies. I'd start slaughtering the enemies and some would walk/fly/get knocked off screen, leaving me stuck waiting until they wandered back and I could kill them. It was a fairly common and completely infuriating experience.this is the second time the dlc collection has been on sale, so i'll probably just wait. might be a nice thing to work on over time, but might as well hold off until i play the main game at least.
That could happen in Dust, too. Did it bother you then?Definitely play the game first before grabbing the DLC. I didn't care for it much. Except your trophy card says you've never played Rogue Legacy...Oh yeah, my final tally for Rogue Legacy was 80 children and 25 and a 1/2 hours. That's getting every trophy except the <15 deaths one.
It happened pretty often in MR. I'm about halfway through Dust and I only remember it happening in a one of scripted fights. When it did happen in Dust it wasn't really noticeable since it was so infrequent. I had not noticed until you brought it up--the one I recall was one of the big slow enemies being slightly out of range, and that was very short-lived (both the enemy and the experience.)That could happen in Dust, too. Did it bother you then?
