The ps4 comes with a little basic headset from the what I'm reading, is that one ok to game with? Or should I go make my husband buy me golds? Can you listen to the sound on the golds if everyone is asleep and you have to turn the volume on the tv down as to not wake them up?

Any must have ps4 games?

I only have these on my list/radar for my ps4: the last of us, second son (bought already), ff type o, the order (it looks good to me) and that's pretty much it.
 
Got my hands on Hand of Fate last night since I needed a few games to complete the $100 spent for the $15 rebate and damn it's really good. I think it might be the final stopper in preventing me from finishing my 4 games of Feb.

shadow warrior is all you need

And yeah you can use the basic headset just fine but the golds are worth it for better sound. Yes of course you can play with them at night and have the sound way up since it will output e everything to the golds.

Having the golds on playing the order makes the whole experience better since they wanted it to be so cinematic.

I just looked up shadow warrior and they're killing someone with a giant pink dildo...I think I'll pass lol

it is an old school shooter orignally on pc. I don't remember anything about a dildo nor did I see or play with one on ps4

I'm a little less down on The Order now that I've played a little longer and they've become less stingy with the action. Still pretty underwhelmed. I have no motivation to explore the environments because all i might find are pointless objects to inspect. The story, so far, is nothing special.

You need to inspect every object to get the plat--therefore they aren't pointless. :nottalking:

Played a nice chunk of Costume Quest 2 last night. I love these smaller RPGs that have a normal non wacky bullshit story. I think I'm closing in on the end. I might actually have a shot at making 44Feb.
 
Far Cry 3 is an enjoyable little game so far, but you already knew that. It's very purty and will be good for fighting the S.A.D. that sets in round these parts round this time. Not too far in (just finished the first doctor mission), but I had weird dreams about the game, so that's a good sign that I can't wait to play more.

Adewale is in Black Flag and is the main character in the Freedom Cry DLC (set 15 years after BF.) He's one of the assassins you fight in Rogue.

There's also a character in Rogue who is the father of somebody from one of the other games. The father talks about his son in one scene that I recall, but I don't remember the details or the character names. Not sure if the son is in Black Flag or something else. There may be others I didn't pick up on since I've not played anything between 2 and Rogue yet, aside from Liberation.

Everyone here has each other to play games and keep us all busy if you ever get too anxious or whatever and wanna chill with buds.

I also wish I had weird dreams, I don't remember the last time I dreamed. I think it is cuz I toke too much. probly helps with the anxiety tho :)

 
I decided to go with Magrunner from the backlog since it looked pretty cool from the videos.  So far I am liking the puzzles.  The first person perspective does kind of bug me since there are timed jumps even in the early levels.  I had the same problems with Portal though, so no big surprise there.

The story seems a bit out there so far, but I didn't play it for the story.  Based on the puzzles so far, I bet they will get pretty complex by the end.  It looks like I already have to go back and replay 3 levels since I did not get them done in a time limit for the trophy.  I think a lot of that had to do with timing of jumps and such more than it did with those puzzles being difficult to understand.

My PS3 locked up on me, but I blame the PS3 and not the game.  I forgot that I can not look at trophies while playing on the PS3 without risking a reboot.

I have already gotten $1.50 worth of fun out of it.

I got platinum #3! Finished the order just now. It wasnt bad, the story was pretty solid, graphics were amazing, gunplay was ok, overall its a decent game. I dont think its anywhere near worth 60 and glad I can trade it back in for only about 12 out of pocket.

If you are playing the game the collectible guide i used was really good. I didnt start using it until chapter 5 so I had to go back and do a little cleanup, but if you use the guide from the beginning when you beat the game you should have the plat.

I did forget the one main gripe about Magrunner.  That is just because I am a nerd.  The game has like charged devices attract instead of opposite.  Since I am wired to think that opposites charge attract it has caused me to have to initially do the wrong thing for the game.

The environment design and all these little short dead ends is definitely my biggest annoyance. I think I've gone down ecru one of them and don't recall finding any collectibles hidden off the main path in them so far.

Yeah, this was the same one I used. I only had to backtrack once in chapter 4 so that worked out really well. Wouldn't dare try and get then without a guide since you have no way to track what you picked up or what you missed.

I just traded in my 2 copies, so all in all I spent $8 for 2 steelbooks and 2 statues. I'll take that value

I use the pack-in mic and it works well. I'd try it first.

And the dead ends wouldn't be so bad if you didn't walk... so... fucking... slow...

You need to pre-order Bloodborne since it's going to be the best Sony exclusive on the PS4. Plus they added rogue dungeons for co-op so there's something different to explore.

If you have interest in it I'd say it's worth the purchase.
 
Finished chapter 4 in Kick & Fennick. One to go. I really like this game a lot. Hope to finished the campaign by end of tomorrow.

It's snowing pretty heavily here. Unfortunately later it's going to change to sleet, freezing rain, then all rain. That's not any fun!

He's getting a $35,000 car so I think you can make him get you a headset. You can also use any 3.5 mm headset if you have something sitting around already.

Same here, though I don't know if we're going to get all those changes later. I wish this weather had waited until Sunday night to start.

Game sound? You have to hold down the PS button then adjust device and set the controller to output all sound. The pack in one is just a cheap single earbud thing.

We're about a day ahead of you. We're currently at the rain stage. It's still mid-30s, though, so the snow and ice haven't melted all that much yet. Slushies everywhere.

Oh. You can, but if you want to hear game sound through a headset I'd go with Golds or something else. I use it for chat-only and send the game sound through the TV. I don't like the isolation of headphones, so for me this works great.

If you still have a Gamestop selling PS2 games, they're 10 for $1 according to the 75% off thread in the Deals section.  You can check the in store inventory on their website and probably see nothing interesting is available within 100 miles.

 
I know for sure my local GS doesn't have any PS2 games as I asked once last year.

I am sure I missed some stuff already. I can't see me playing through again chasing after the collectibles. Into chapter 9 and have fun but when I am done I really don't see me playing it again.

Got a trophy in Uncharted GA today for getting all the silver coins. Thanks to pharm, Sophrosync and others. Still need more updates to get one more collectible trophy.
