Also yakuza 3 :ps3: is still trading for $15 at amazon and is currently $10 at GameStop before pur/bday coupon.

#VigsProbablyBusy
Nah, I was lazy or just forgot to post that one. I can't remember. Thanks, though.

From the looks of things in Amazon's marketplace, you might have success selling a complete copy for >$20 online.

I've already missed a bunch of U:GA collectibles (I'm up to chapter 5 or 6 now), but I think I'll just wait to get them via Crushing playthrough.  I started following a guide for them towards the end of U2 and it wasn't very fun going back and forth on a first play (yeah yeah tyler).  Plus I'm playing it mainly on the bus/train and it's more awkward going back and forth to the guide on the phone there than at home.

Thankfully crushing was easy compared to the other Uncharteds. Apparently they made it easier because it was so damn hard originally. I only got stuck on 2 sections. And neither took more than maybe 10 tries to get past. Quick and pretty painless.

The worst part for me was trying to get the 10 one hit kills in a row for the expert brawler trophy. It took me at least an hour to perfect. I blame the controls cause it cant be me.

That seems to be called out a lot for being the hardest trophy to get from what little I read this morning. I always hated those in the Uncharted games because they are so easy to screw up.

Definitely planning to get started on it tonight. I assume you have to get pretty far into the game before doing the black market stuff thing for bounties?

No idea, but I would just start the game, play through it a bit until you see a card pop at the top right. Then start doing a near update every 3 hours or when you can get to it. It wont hurt and it only takes a couple minutes to update.

NEVERMIND, SEE BELOW.

You can start doing black market stuff midway through Chapter 2.

It wasn't until chapter 2 is when I got a bounty (i assume you need a bounty to get things going) which took about 15 minutes. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I keep getting all zeros when I do near.

I think you just need good timing. I've gotten three or four since I unlocked that feature.

Wow, never heard of it or paid attention to it before. That looks like awesome old school and will be perfect to play on Vita during long lunch breaks.
I know we've drooled over it here some (Vig especially). But yeah looks like a sweet sweet old-school Metroidvania pixel-art fantastical goodness blimp. It's a bummer to have to wait to play it until the Vita version gets finished, especially because it is now very unlikely I'll be able to get a review code for it.

It is about timing, but I also think it has something to do with location. I got Soph once but otherwise only ever got Jimbo. Its definitely wonky. I forgot to update this morning before I left the house. I will try and remember when I get home tonight and do it again before bed.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN

Yeah, I clearly never paid attention to it. Probably because you guys were mentioning Vita and I didnt have one until recently. I dont pay attention to much of anything on systems I dont own.

Probably zilch since it's a Japanese-developed game with no UI, tutorials, or even text outside of a sign in the background in the opening of the game. The U.S. publisher (NIS America) sold physical copies on its online store--$19.99 for just the game, $29.99 for a Limited Edition that added an artbook, soundtrack CD, and "collector's box"--and that's the only way you could get one. Otherwise you have to go the digital route.

There's a review up at Destructoid: http://www.destructoid.com/review-htol-niq-the-firefly-diary-287859.phtml

That score won't deter me from playing my copy once it arrives.
I'm waiting for mine to ship still :(

I think I've gotten a couple from jimbo, one from you, and one from soph so far. Got a rare one this morning!

Did all race, lumens, and graffiti after the first mission. I'm just starting the second and I'm super upgraded. You'd think they would have put some kind of limit on the upgrades to prevent this situation.

There are a couple abilities locked until you get further, but yeah you can completely upgrade the ones that are unlocked right away.

My Freedow Wars trade is still being processed by amazon. I hope these jerks don't claim it isn't up to snuff, because it sure is. Everything's pristine.

Are the challenges really that tough? The trophy guide says 3/10, but then a bunch of people in the comments and other topics say it's harder than that.
The hardest ones IMO were the two for lasting 30 waves in the Beta and Gamma Survival arenas, as things get a bit hectic starting around the 20th wave. Most of them pretty much all boil down to skill (e.g., save 5 hostages without them losing any health) or luck (e.g., kill 25 enemies by destroying bridges, by detonating crates).

Video reviews and talk in the thread has me intrigued on Magrunner ( at $1.49) so I think I'll pick that up, in case ya'll didn't know, it has a plat.

Of Orcs and Men also has me intrigued (also has a plat at $5) as does Mars: War Logs (no plat). Anyone played either of those?

You can come sit next to me in the "everyone else has the system I want" club. It's getting to be sad and lonely in here, with people dropping like flies.
You should put up a new thread here in the Off Topic forum begging for money. That seems to be the thing to do recently. At least your post would be honest and say it was for a PS4.

At least I am skeptical with people posting on a video game forum asking for money for sick animals or funeral expenses. Possibly I am just a heartless old fuck.

I bought unchartered ga from a lowball here, I'll probably play it soon. I just gotta remember to delete the saves on it so it doesn't affect my trophy stuff

No, you arent heartless. I find it disgusting that anyone would go on the internet asking for money for anything. Sorry, but if you dont have family or friends to help you out of a bind then tough shit. I dont know you, why would I give you money?!

Meh, I have the means to get a PS4, I just don't see any reason to do so at the moment with so many other games left to play on the PS3. MAYBE if Bloodborne is earth-shatteringly amazing.

Freedom Wars's TIV is back up to $15.69 on Amazon.

Of course because I accepted $12.45 last week and literally just put it in the USPS bin at work this morning. fuck.

Hmm...AC: Rogue is $35.99 on Target.com and qualifies for the B1G1 this week. Should I get one of each and try to sell the 360 version so I can keep the PS3 version for ~$10...? :whistle2:k

Sounds like a plan. As much as I enjoyed ACIV, I think after finishing IV and then Mordor I'm perfectly content not going back to all the PS3 assassin's games. Shit after Mordor AC needs to up it's game.
