I got a new screen protector for the Vita.  Same brand but the matte anti glare version. The first one left finger smudges and had a ton of glare to it.  This one doesnt have either problem and is still nice and clear.  I even like the strange "rough" feel to it.  The only thing that may bother some of you is that it makes a sound when you swipe it with your finger. If you have ear buds in you wont notice it however. 

I recommend the matte for the anti glare and non smudginess.

I dont know your situation but I am definitely more tired when I sleep over 8 hours than when i sleep 5-6. But when I sleep less than 4 it catches up to me and I crash like I did last night at 9:30. More than 8 hours definitely doesnt help at our age.

I have had one shit of a day.  Well, at least compared to what it was supposed to be. 

I passed out as feared because I was so tired.  Watched the rest of the UK game that I recorded and, after loading up the dishwasher, discovered that I need a new one.  I usually try to fix things myself but it's over 10 years old and I'm pretty sure it's the motor going out so I'm not going to bother.  

It is fucking 9:00pm over here and I have played less than an hour of videogames today.  These days do not come around very often so I'm pretty fucking bummed. 

 
Wife decided to tell me the day before her birthday(yesterday), that she invited friends from out of state to come visit this weekend. 3 days of cleaning, rearranging, buying new furniture, and setting up new furniture. Half my "vacation" gone in the blink of an eye. I still have another day I have to burn when they get here tomorrow.

Did get my adapter for my controller to hold my tablet on top of it, and it works perfectly. Pretty interesting that the thing was made by a 3d printing company. I'm now 100% geared for my surgery recovery.

lol... probably best for it to happen on a day like today. So if you'll excuse me, I have a lot drinking to do... gonna play FF 13 and I'm going to drink until I am so blown away by the story that it cracks my top 5 games of all time.

From what I've heard about ff13 you'll need the drinking to play through it

I spent the whole day playing AC Rogue thanks to waking up with one hell of a hangover this morning. Had a whole list of shit to do and didnt get anything done, whoops!

 
platted ff13 and enjoyed every minute of it

Did my first difficulty 8 mission and got trashed with randoms. How the hell is there a difficulty 12???

I never did finish FF13. Can we at least agree it has a terrible, awful story with annoying characters?

Unrelated, I finally unlocked the boxy mech in Helldivers. I guess i need to actually select planets with worthwhile rewards rather than relying on randoms to choose them. Working on a planet with the APC as a reward now, but it's tough solo. I throw the SOS beacon, but i am forever alone. *cries silently*
 
Hmmm.... FF isn't scratching that I'm-drunk-and-currently-hate-life itch.... maybe Shadow Warrior?  I was feeling like an rpg, but right now I just want to kill stuff and menu commands jjust aint cutting it.

Did we ever find out if Borderlands 2 is going to have a shared trophy list between PS3/Vita and PS4?

Oh and Pancakes and I just tried to play helldivers.  It appears that the online is currently....offline.  We couldnt connect at all.  I even reset my Ps4.  fuck

FF13 has a lot going for it. All the hate comes from that it's different, the characters really aren't likable, and tutorial area is like 12 hours long before it gets to the actual game. I had a lot of fun with it before my daughter's mother looked up the ending and told me when I was about 85% through the game to be spiteful.

These characters really arent' likeable at all... Saz is all "hey I like to tell jokes, but since no one laughs at them I walk around with a fucking bird in my hair" and Lightning's all "i'm so fucking tough i'm not even going to acknowledge that bird shitting in your hair"
Shadow Warrior it is for now, but I seriously see myself getting into FF when the mood is right.  I actually started playing it awhile ago, but my ps3 died and it took some time to replace it.  So damn pretty even after all these years.

Looks like I'm pulling a Tyler and going without a PS4 for a bit.  Gamestop is giving a year of Plus when you buy a PS4 the week of the 16th. This weekend they are doing a 50% bonus on consoles which makes PS4 value $345.  So altogether itd be $55 for me (no tax in my state) to get a new system, warranty, controller, TLOU digital, and a year of Plus.  Seems decent...

Nothing too exciting or interesting like PSX. Long summary below.

Delta lost my luggage so I didn't have it for a couple days and was freezing my ass off the past couple nights. They found it and delivered it to the hotel this morning so now I'm warmer. It's still cold as fuck here. The sad part is when I came to PAX East for the 1st time 2 years ago American lost my luggage. They finally found it and delivered it the day before I left. Last year was the only time my luggage arrived with me lol.

Otherwise, PAX East has been chill. This year I've mainly gone to panels. I went to the TellTale panel and got a code for their collection on Steam. Went to Life is Strange panel and got a code for episode 1 on Steam. Saw new Witcher 3 footage at their panel. Went to MajorNelson's panel.

Yesterday we went to the Twitch party at Lucky Strike. It was lame. Super crowded and you had to pay for everything and wait forever to play pool or bowl so we left.

Tonight was awesome though. We went to Harmonix's party at the Hard Rock Cafe. They had unlimited food and a couple free drinks. People sang karaoke for a couple hours. They had a live band and some guy from England performed for about 75 minutes. It's the artist that they just gave free DLC for with the announcement of RB4. They gave everyone RB4 posters and some phone controller.

Tomorrow we're reserving for playing games and trying for more swag. We'll be going to the Gearbox panel.

Personally, I enjoyed PSX more since it was way more intimate so there weren't crazy lines to play games. In all my experiences with cons I enjoyed E3 and PSX due to the exclusivity and more hands-on time. I usually prefer the panels more at PAX for that reason.

Speaking of which, we went to CliffyB's panel for his new studio BossKey. It was more of an introduction to how the studio came to be and how Cliff gathered some devs from other studios.

They had one guy from 3D Realms there and he was venting about Gearbox and Duke Nukem Forever. He said they completed a 8-10 hour campaign and the game was done. Gearbox came in and cut the campaign down and hired someone to add multiplayer. Gearbox was saying how they "saved" or finished the game and took all the credit for the revival. But when it bombed they shifted the blame back on 3DR. That was interesting to hear. I like that behind the scenes stuff. Oh and they gave us a shirt and sticker.

We're heading back to the hotel now. We were gonna hit up the Gearbox party but it was the same time as Harmonix's. Our buddy went and won a diamond loot crate.

Fairly sure it'll be a shared list. Considering the PS3/Vita versions are shared and they say that the game is cross-play on the 4, pretty certain that makes it the same list across all 3 platforms.
