I know it's cliche to complain about the inconsistent updates at this point but you would think someone over there would realize that just giving a quick twitter update would go a long way towards looking more professional.
Edit: That being said, it looks like the store is updated at least partially. Not sure if any discounts are still pending.
It's totally justifiable to complain about the store updates for as long as this bs continues. The consistency is slightly better than in years past but it's still absolutely ridiculous that it's an issue at all. Can anyone here think of any other online store that updates in the middle of the day (or well into the evening for everyone not on the west coast)?
I remember listening to a lengthy podcast last year in which Grace Chen said that people are wrong to think that updating the store is like flipping a switch, that there's allllllll kinds of negotiations to be worked out with publishers, other regions' stores, etc. and that it takes a lot of work to coordinate. Right, that's why you do it in the god damn bloody days before the store updates, not the day of you daft cow.
She came across as so entitled, arrogant, and dismissive of criticism in that interview. You know how sometimes you can just listen to a person and totally get a feel for whether they're an asshole or not? Like their words literally drip with bitchiness? She had that goin on the entire time. I realized then that as long as she remains Senior Manager of PSN in NA that it'll always be this way.
It doesn't make me mad because it affects my life in any way big or small, it makes me mad because there's absolutely no good reason for it to be like this. Their chief competitor doesn't do it,
no one does it, it's just bizarro Sony makin derpy decisions per usual.
