iv got 100% on sr3/sr4 and all dlc. I wish sr2 had trophies. They promised they would have trophies and then dropped the ball... oh wells.

also tehcro, whats up with this 10 gig warframe update?! i hope it is just a redl of other patches and not +10 gig that is crazy. hopefully new trophies? or just patch/balances? let's knock out this uranus boss and the hijack trophy so I can quit playing this awesome game :)

Anyone mention that there's a flash sale link on the store right now?  "FLASHSALE15ALL" is the title in the URL if anyone wants to speculate at the theme.

So a dude on GameGravy reviewed the PS4 version of Citizens of Earth just now and gave it an 8. I can't imagine a texture upgrade and (possible) lack of crash bugs would boost it 2.5 from what I played, but whatevs. Arbitrary numbers and all that jazz. His recommendation at the end is what sounds weird to me.
Isn't it weird that your site is reviewing games twice?

Its called an unhappy marriage. Which is why I am getting out. Though we never went that long.
Have you ever said why you're getting divorced? Other than the "we are who we are and we'll never change, so it won't work" line that gets used fairly often?

Oh, and cause she won't let you fuck strippers or hookers.

Noon EST next Thursday and not a minute sooner.
We actually won't get the games til April 7th so it may actually be 2 weeks away til we get the announcement. But you're right, the bitching will start next Thursday if not earlier. Especially the EU bitching since they technically have to wait til the 2nd Wednesday of the month because of the US and they think that Sony loves US more than EU. Which they should.

Jesus man...

I do not know when your birthdays are or your anniversary is, but wow. You also skipped Valentines and even more concerning Steak and a BJ Day. That is no way to live.

Birthday was in there, but this isn't even the longest we've had kinda recently.

Also sorry, this is all super awkward. Sorry for bringing the thread down.

Yes it is weird. But publishers send us codes for different versions of a non-crossbuy game, so our site runner feels the need to review all the copies for the platforms that we get. Helps boost review numbers for GameRankings/MetaCritic inclusion too. For instance, I got a code for Tennis in the Face today, even though we reviewed the PS4 version when that came out months ago. Now I get to do the Vita review. But that one is cross-buy, so who knows.

But free games so whatevs.

It is just real life man. This isn't facebook, you don't have to pretend like everything is fucking peachy. My marriage is far from a happy one too. I get it.

IMHO it makes sense to review both PS4 and Vita versions of at least some games. For example the Vita version of Helldivers uses the back touchpad and the touchscreen, and it would be helpful to cover in a review how well that works (it actually works well in this case).

Finding from my time in San Diego:

  • Parking stalls are smaller.  WTF?  Especially since in the area I was most people were driving bigger nicer calls.  Seriously, we had rented a Hyundai Sonata and when parking in a lot of places we barely had 6 inches on either side of the car between the parking lines.
  • Everything looks new.  Cars, buildings, everything.  I'm guessing this has to do with there being no winter weather to wear things down.
  • Traffic lights take FOREVER.  If you miss a light, go ahead and pull out that novel you're working on, cuz you're seriously not going anywhere anytime soon.
  • People were nice.  This was kind of weird to me, but damn lot of people were sure friendly.
  • Hot chicks seem friendlier.  I'm guessing this is because a stuck-up Salt Lake City 9 is really only about a 7 in San Diego. Regardless, I got a lot of smiles from chicks that are out of my league.

She is a crazy bitch and miserable. ALL the time.

The strippers and hookers are the go forward plan. At least until I find a momma somewhere in the sugar bowl.

I can't get the PSN web store to load. I'm still trying to decide if I should get Saints Row 2 or SR3, or both, or neither. Under $7 for SR3 Full Package seems like a great price. No trophies for SR2, but I've heard that might be the best one.
SR3 base was free on PS+. Not sure if you have that or not or if it helps. The DLC is probably more expensive then just buying the full package.

Considering how ass backwards my Assassin's Creed tastes are compared to norm (liking 1 as much or more than 2, skipping to Revelations) I might be tempted by that Ass Creed III complete bundle for $15.

Agreed, but ideally (to me, anyway) that would be all part of one review which can touch on differences between the versions.

Jesus Hayzeus Christ, Warframe. Already have to fuckin download an update almost every time I get on but now another 9.3 GB patch? Cmon son!

Apparently Metacritic frowns upon that sort of thing. They want a review to be about the platform it was played on and that's it so they can properly put it in their fancy little sorting things.

So like when I did Fez, I played it both on my PS3 & Vita, so that's what I marked it as. But we ended up taking out the PS3 part and listing it just as Vita because that's what I played it the most on. Meta didn't like having the one review listed under two categories on our site even though its the same exact game (save for rumble vs. sound used for some puzzles.)

I think I'll get SR3 for sure. I usually prefer physical over digital, but I'm slowly giving that battle up due to sale prices.

Also, shout out to jimbo for hooking me up with a code for The Last of Us Remastered.
Yeah little by little I am moving more and more digital too. As long as it is cheap. I was seriously pissed off I couldn't find my SR4 disc last weekend. I did finally find it. For $10 or so I rather just have the download.

And you are welcome on the code. I appreciated you hooking me up with the coupon even though they couldn't get it to work.

I had the same plan, but after Gat Out of Hell I kind of changed my mind. If I play the DLC later it will be if I play the PS4 version again. My choices on Gamefly will have to be pretty slim before I play that again now I think.
I changed my mind after 4 or 5 system lock ups. 2 of which were near the end of the campaign. Too much other stuff to play.

But this Tennis in the Face Vita review I have to do now is strictly to get our review numbers up.  The email with the code specifically says (quote straight from the email) "The game is identical to the already released PS4 version. We are not expecting re-reviews..."

Email also says we can give the code away if we want too, but just wait until release day (today).  I was gonna throw it into the winner's pot of our NCAA Tourney pool, but my editor wants me to review it so we have more Vita reviews so that's what I'm going to do.  Sorry y'all.

Did you not play Brotherhood? I believe it to be the best in the franchise.

They're not *that* backwards--pretty much everyone dislikes AC: Revelations.
I think I may be liking Revelations more than 2 actually. I like the more seasoned, grizzled Ezio as a character and just having the ability to call assassins to kill shit when I've tired of the sword combat is pretty nice. The Mediterranean Defense game is bullshit though. I've stacked 4 assassin's in every location and it does nothing to stop the bleed of influence. Sometimes no high level missions would spawn so I was stuck having to do 5% and 10% missions every 5 or 6 minutes to boost control in that territory. Then in one of the chapters you don't have access to the ability to send commands to your army so when you finish pretty much all your cities will be under attack and low on influence. Once you get in a position of strength you have should have been able to automate some of it, but you always have to micromanage it.

Didn't we have that happen one week before and the flash sale happened later in the week when they normally do?
Yeah pretty sure that happened and pretty sure that is what this is. I think we've had maybe 1 or 2 during-the-week flash sales, but the vast majority of them have been Weekend sales.

EDIT: Though it could be a special one for St Patricks Day

That's all well and good, but you really shouldn't have skipped Brotherhood. I'm not one to talk since I still have to finish it, but Backlog (and Kerouac, apparently) named it the best in the series.
