The MLS schedule will remain the way it is because the MLS cannot compete with the NFL. Soccer leagues are the NFL of Europe and most countries outside of Europe.

That guy sounds like a Jimmy alright. I skimmed his Retro City Rampage DX review. I still can't tell if he liked it or hated it.

[background=#ffffff]Is Retro City Rampage DX a parody? I don’t feel like they have expressed that enough to start the game or throughout the game.[/background]
[background=#ffffff]The graphics of the game are pretty brutal but it is just like an 8-bit NES game.[/background][background=#ffffff] [/background][background=#ffffff]It reminds me a lot of my younger years, which is good and bad because it is like reliving your childhood but going back to those graphics makes it so hard to want to continue to play very long. [/background]

[background=#ffffff]I still enjoyed it but the game itself felt kinda like playing GTA with the NES feel. I liked playing this game, it was great to relive my past but at the same time I prefer to leave my memories of past games just there, in the past. I have recently played an old school system and it ruined my memories of the game, so I feel that is basically what has happened with this game. I like the game but it needs to up the graphics. Other than my gripe over the graphics, the game is pretty fun but can get boring fairly quickly as well. [/background]

I missed the part where he wrote "The music goes great with game all around from the theme song to the sound effects. It gets you in the mood to steal cars, cause chaos, and other fun criminal behavior." yet, in the thumbs down part at the top of the page, it includes: "chiptunes are repetitive"

The developer actually called him out on that on Twitter. It was pretty hilarious.

But yeah, he's not the greatest with the writing.

So I just did some looking up of what all it would take to get 100% in all the Ass Creed games with this sale for me.

Brotherhood Da Vinci Pack  - $3  : This seems reasonable for a single DLC pack on sale and it is all single player it appears

Revelations Character Pack - $4  : This one isn't even on sale and is all MP

Revelations Map Pack         - $3  :  More MP, YAY!

Revelations Lost Archice     - $3  :  Is this all that first person platforming shit?  Why isn't there a Revelations Season Pass?

AC3 Season Pass               - $12 : There is 4 different DLCs here, but $12 for an on sale season pass seems steep, lots of MP

Black Flag Season Pass     - $10 : Could save a couple bucks and get the packs with trophies separate here I guess.

So $35 and a lot of hours in MP that I likely wouldn't really enjoy.  I just re-upped Gamefly for 3 months for barely more than that.  It reminds me why I rent and usually avoid DLC.  I think I need to go back to generally not caring about DLC.

It also makes me see why all you guys game share this stuff.  I might still get the Da Vinci stuff because it always interested me.

I think a helldivers illuminate event is going down now
Shit. I wont be home for another hour or so hooefully it lasts 3 hours so i can get some D(x)P action. Thankfully the wife and kid will be at the in laws tonight for St Pats Day as her dad is Irish. house to myself for a couple hours!

The Da Vinci Disappearance was fun. The AC2 DLC was also decent. I skipped the Lost Archive DLC. While I was interested in more of Clay's story, I didn't want to do all that first person shit.

I got AC IV and the season pass for PS4 from the gamesharing forum for $10 last fall. That was worth every penny.

AC3 DLC, I never got around to buying. I finished the game on 360 last year and then that was around the time I started moving over to PS3.

edit - I think I just remembered the AC2 DLC didn't have achievements/trophies.

I opened up my Type-0 HD CE and my gosh is it the best CE I've seen in a long time. The steelbook is easily the best one I have (love that Amano artwork ), the artbook and cards are cool, and I'll be sure to read the manga at some point. I'm definitely glad I bit on this one.

Fuuuuuuuuck off, dude. Top streamer on BF Hardline right now (on PS4 I guess) is talkin about how he's gonna give away a PS4. All you have to do is download his shitty iOS game and click on all the ads and download the games from the ads. Piece of shit.

Dude sucks major ass. Just wasted like 5 minutes spamming the x button trying to get the chopper and when he got it he died fast as fuck.

Well I just finished GTA Chinatown Wars, think it's the first GTA I've ever finished the campaign on. That last mission was some frustrating BS and I was about to resort to some cheats if I hadn't beaten it that time.

The stuff seems nice enough but wasn't it a $40 premium still?

What, did you forget about Best Buy? I also used a $20 certificate, so I paid $59.99+tax for it. I'm still debating what to do with the second CE I ordered from Amazon, but I don't regret the purchase one bit.

don't worry, we didn't win anyway. really wish there was some way to get more people involved, sucks seeing 3000 at the event, and then 1500 on other planets that don't matter at that time. we're never going to make it to a homeworld.

My type 0 CE just arrived, pristine condition

Part of me wants to open it

The other part that knows I won't play it for awhile doesn't want to

Decisions

Well shit.

I think the charging port on my HTC One just broke. Phone is not charging and its dead. Was almost dead on my drive home and tried plugging in to car charger and it wasnt charging and the metal on the charging cable got really hot.

Tried on wall charger and still no charging light and wont turn on.

Wasnt planning to get a new phone, damnit.

$40 premium/$100 CE territory usually gets you a bit more than a pair of books and a steelbook. Those items look very nice but in the scale of CE pricing probably should have been closer to $80.

That's great, still a $32 premium.

Open that shit and play it. Why even drop $100 on a game you won't be playing for a while. fuck whatever $2 PSN game you're playin right now.

...

i hate you...

i have to wait a week, or more, to get mine. i actually want to play it too

-1 happiness
I want to play it

I just don't have time to right now

I have too many other things that I started to play in my limited free time

Probably not til next month will I get to play it, maybe

When I had ordered it I didn't think I would have my ps4 yet, I just knew I didn't want to miss it

Right now I need to beat the last of us first

Yeah, gamesharing DLC is the best because DLC almost never has any replay value or reason to ever go back to it, except for MP stuff like maps.

Ah yeah, CAG Math!
This is what I meant:

I'm fully aware that I paid $80-ish for it, and again, I don't regret it.

Have you seen what comes in the $130 CE for the FFXIV expansion?

xivhw_cebeautyshot_all-670x535.jpg

Less than what came in Type-0 HD's. That dragon "figure"?

CE pricing in general tends to suck nowadays. I wish Type-0 HD's CE had been $80 (and Bloodborne's CE had been "free" with preorders), but at least it wasn't as unreasonably priced as that one.

OK, that's pretty messed up. Guess Squenix has just stopped pretending they don't gouge their fans every chance they get. Kojima may treat his fans like crap but at least the arm isn't that small.

I will play MP for a bit if there is a meet up but I dont know if I can start that early. Sometimes I can sometimes I cant. I just wont be playing MP randomly.
So is there going to be a meetup? I might pick up Hardline for a bit and trade it back it.

Finally got myself Gamer unlocked.

My mom just found out her cat has cancer

The fucked up thing is after they told her they tried to get her money for a bunch of procedures that had no relation to the cancer diagnosis....

BYU plays tonight, I guess in one of the knock out games for the NCAA tourney.  Definitely hope they lose.  Already heard a few delusional people around here thinking they'll be making a run to like the sweet 16 this year.

don't worry, we didn't win anyway. really wish there was some way to get more people involved, sucks seeing 3000 at the event, and then 1500 on other planets that don't matter at that time. we're never going to make it to a homeworld.
We're one section away from the bug world so odds are good we'll get there next week. The supposition is that it's a 4 hour event too. The upside (?) is that if we manage to win that then the bugs are gone for good until the war resets which means there will be less for people to do when these events start.

It's also not totally clear that you don't lose planet progress if you join an event, so I wonder if people just want to finish their planets before joining.

It does suck that this game has a seriously defined shelf life though - unless they can pump out compelling content regularly the online community will dwindle with a swiftness making virtuality everything impossible or maddeningly boring. Unless they rebalance it for 100 people playing instead of 10000 which I guess they could.

Seattle shares with the Seahakws... and now New York FC play at Yankee stadium...
MLS is stupid with their rules, they go back and forth on stadiums. Before a team can join the league they have to have a stadium, or approved plans for one. Preferably soccer specific one. Where they draw the line for what teams doesn't really seem to be the same across the board.

yeah, but how good are the odds that a person will be able to play at all in that 4 hour block? we're looking at 3+ weeks to get to a homeworld if that area doesn't continuously get reset. i guess knocking one area completely off will help some.

even then, it doesn't take 3 hours to complete a planet. even if it took an hour(still shouldn't), that leaves a lot more time that these people could be helping out. it also shows that they haven't balanced anything in terms of the influence.

that's the biggest aggravation in the whole matter. they revolve things around these events, but we're not getting to see a lot of them, and we're quickly approaching the drop off point for most typical players.

i like the game, don't get me wrong. these seem like minor things that can be tweaked before worrying about putting out weapon packs.

You're correct across the board. Strangely, from reading that subreddit or whatever where the devs are pretty active they seem quite content to appeal to a certain crowd and let everything else fall by the wayside. Which is a fine philosophy, but I don't think they're prepared for the population dropoff that's coming up.

As far as fixing the event balancing before dlc, I suspect they need to keep income flowing in the immediate term so it's a reasonable business decision. They gave the usual 'dlc didn't distract from fixing issues' spiel but with a 12 person team who knows. Since the events are 2W / 2L so far it may be working exactly as intended.

In any event it's fun to talk about.

Playing hard line reminds me why rock star is so awesome. The graphics are not good and the lip syncing was off in the very first scene. Aso the chase scene was bad. Real bad.
