I just couldn't get interested in this game even with GCU and the $10 cert. BF4 was fun when the MP wasn't glitching and lagging. Probably mostly because it was a PS4 launch game and I grew tired of COD. But Hardline just didn't look interesting to me at all. The beta might have actually killed any interest I had in it. Cops and robbers just sounds like a horrible idea for a game.

Anyone playing this and liking it?

As far as fixing the event balancing before dlc, I suspect they need to keep income flowing in the immediate term so it's a reasonable business decision. They gave the usual 'dlc didn't distract from fixing issues' spiel but with a 12 person team who knows. Since the events are 2W / 2L so far it may be working exactly as intended.

In any event it's fun to talk about.

yeah, i'm going to browse that later, and see if anyone else has mentioned this stuff. that crowd there seems extremely loyal for whatever reason though, and seem to attack anything negative. i'll try to watch my phrasing if i do post. they definitely need to shake something up, and keep the excitement going. i don't see what would be so bad about letting these things activate a little faster.

the influence stuff couldn't possibly take that long to adjust though, and that's all server side. are there that many more people playing on the weekend, both wins were on the weekend, right? most i've seen so far is around 6400. only 2 events i got into were on a weeknight, 3300 today and 3900 last time, both losses. as far as the dlc goes, i know they need/want more money. i'm just of the mindset that you straighten our your issues before you open your hand. population drop off probably has to do with that too though. might as well get while the getting is good.

Is Retro City Rampage DX a parody? I don’t feel like they have expressed that enough to start the game or throughout the game.

The graphics of the game are pretty brutal but it is just like an 8-bit NES game. It reminds me a lot of my younger years, which is good and bad because it is like reliving your childhood but going back to those graphics makes it so hard to want to continue to play very long.

I still enjoyed it but the game itself felt kinda like playing GTA with the NES feel. I liked playing this game, it was great to relive my past but at the same time I prefer to leave my memories of past games just there, in the past. I have recently played an old school system and it ruined my memories of the game, so I feel that is basically what has happened with this game. I like the game but it needs to up the graphics. Other than my gripe over the graphics, the game is pretty fun but can get boring fairly quickly as well.

this for me. not that cops and robbers is a bad idea, cause payday was/is fun. i liked the mp on kane and lynch as well. those are what had me interested in this in the first place. hardline just feels too much like a regular battlefield game though. only the maps themselves made it feel somewhat like a cops vs robbers game. the vehicle mode was kind of cool, but it was too chaotic on the map i played. which was pretty small, and everyone just seemed to drive around the same block.

I dated women who were fantastically out of my league when I lived in San Diego. You're right - women there are so beautiful that a 10 anywhere else is only a 7 there. It also helps that tons of the guys are macho dickhead dumb assholes, so if you're friendly yourself and able to carry on an interesting conversation for longer than a minute it goes a long way.

I fucking love San Diego. I get to go back in November for a convention and I can't wait.

I am going to wait a while till it is cheaper. Might even wait for a decent PSN sale. I wasn't overly impressed with TPS. But LOVED BL 2. Played it on both 360 and PS3 a LOT.

I wouldn't say it's only good with 3 friends. Most of the my encounters with randoms have been fun.

I guess if you are looking at a plat point of view it would have been terrible. I would not want to do the no alarm trophy/defuse trophy again with a bunch of randoms.

It's like you found out it has cancer what other crap besides chemo would you really do? Which they told her the chemo wouldn't help so the. Why would you gouge someone who is clearly in grief? It seemed heartless.

I figure the best thing to do is once the cat shows it is starting to suffer/not seem like itself then maybe she should just put it down? But I won't tell her that for awhile
 
I just funded my wallet with PayPal. I think I just time traveled into the future when you can fund your wallet with PayPal!

Used the money to buy Jamestown+. I'll be playing it later tonight.

This. Actually got lucky and got all the trophies fairly easily tonight. Spammed Toro's level 3 super for the kill trophies and then found a 999 teammate for the others. Anybody here have the PS3 version and mind firing it up for the "Friendly Competition" trophy at some point? I still need to go through the campaign stuff for the plat, but I'm glad to have the MP stuff pretty much done with.

 
I had a cat growing up that made it 22 years. He even got ran over by a car when he was like 20 and survived. He had one cloudy eye from a seizure at about 15.

I haven't tried it in awhile. This was before everyone got the game for plus so I'm sure it's a different story these days

Short review of helldivers dlc

Nothing life changing. The assault drone is cool and a little nuts if upgraded when it gets armor piercing and mini stun but it requires 8 seconds of downtime for probably every 10 seconds of it shooting, disappears when you go in a vehicle/walker, and of course uses up your backpack slot. Heal drone is the same. The rocket launcher I can't figure out how to use, but I'm also awful with the rockets on the walkers. The other weapons seem like they're good variations on existing weapons and more choice is good.

The new costumes are cool too. Is it worth $6 bucks? Probably only if you want to support the developers. Fun new toys though.
 
And retro rampage is such a painful pile of crap. I do hate retro for the sake of retro though, so I'm probably not the target audience.

Then you were lucky. Many people would end up doing stupid shit at the end of a level thinking they would level up faster if they let you die and left with all the money. I have even seen people just kick someone right at the end of a mission. The community I saw of that game was a bunch of absolute pricks.

Not to mention you really needed people with differing skill trees to do the higher end jobs to continue to progress. The likelihood of having that with a group of randoms was pretty damn slim. I really enjoyed the game with my 3 friends, but I would never suggest anyone try with just randoms. Maybe they would have your luck instead of mine though.

I helped Cleaner the other night. I can help you too at some point if nobody else does. I am working on another game at the moment though.

 
Damn. Crazy camping on that money pile made everyone took scared to grab any money. Match went the full 20? minutes.
