Hey yo Pete,

Do you remember if you need the full 980 stars to get invited to the playoffs in Virtua Tennis 4, or if you just need to achieve that last rank at 950? I was dum and missed a lot of stars on the 2nd tour and I'm worried I'm not gonna have enough now that I'm on the last leg of the last tour. I think I can squeak by at 950 but the 980 is gonna be mega tough.
You just need to reach the last rank.

are you guys on remote play using the oled vitas? I don't recall using it on there, but my rp is usually flawless on my slim. Even when I'm at my parents with their slower dsl connection. Only time I get slight lag is if I'm in the kitchen, which puts about 6 walls in between me and the ps4.

I'm a fan of any kind of attention they give the vita though. Maybe one of these times it'll tug at one of their heartstrings, and they'll coddle it while saying how sorry they are for neglecting it.

Milwaukee Brewers Announce 'Inside the Park Nachos' with Doritos Crusting on a Stick

The Brewers' "Inside the Park Nachos" allow you to enjoy taco meat with a crusting of Doritos, all on a stick for portability. It will be topped with cheese sauce and sour cream and served with a side of salsa

Sounds great and looks pretty good, but why doesnt it look like nacho cheese doritos? Is that the cool ranch?

I finally watched a video of Axiom Verge and I'm not totally sold on it. The graphics seem pretty bad. I get they are going for the retro vibe but Super Metroid looked a lot better than that. Something about the color palette is just unattractive to me and makes me think it will be a pain to navigate. Gameplay looks solid enough, I guess. Seems like it apes Metroid too much. I could just boot that up instead and get a similar amount of enjoyment. Maybe I'm missing some sort of interesting twist. Will scope the reviews when it releases.
I think they went for that muted limited color palette to fit more in a pre-SNES era. And the gameplay component of using glitches to navigate was a big selling point for me. Sounded and looks really fun and interesting and new.

Graphics wise Axiom Verge is def 8 and not 16 bit. The dude on the stream yesterday pretty much said so when talking about the visuals. I am also not sold on it for the 10% off. I will wait for it to be under $5 later. I would have preferred 16 bit graphics more like Super Metroid myself. That was the best looking game ever when it was first released. And had the best music and atmosphere.

Liked for the much-deserved Super Metroid praise, not for passing on Axiom Verge at launch.

Brewers bringing the high heat! Can't wait to get one of these this summer. Without the sour cream of course.

Tour guide is gone, now I get to drive the jeep, no more awkwardly amped up music while driving!

In the name of freedom, what do you think is the first thing I tried upon being given the keys? Why to see if you can run down an animal of course, you cannot, when you get within a few inches of them the game applies the brakes and then your lazy, photojournalist companion (seriously, what do they do all day?) chastises you. All the foliage in the game is also made of cinder blocks while driving.

I had read in a few reviews that sometimes the animal AI reacts weird, but I've seen none of that so far. Weaker animals try to get away from you if you make too much noise or get too close. Stronger enemies go into rage mode and will charge and "kill" you (knock you out and cause you to lose any photos you have taken since you last synced with the laptop) if you don't get out of their grill within 10-12 seconds.

Yep, that's the way it is with all 3 Souls games, It's just like suspend->resume, except it doesn't work when you're being invaded and if you quit during a boss when you boot back up you will be standing just outside the boss fog gate, but any consumables you used during the fight (spell charges, estus flasks, etc.) will still be gone.
More great information that any other game would have told you from the start.

I don't know what you're talking about. How's that work?

Hell yea, I'll have to try that out this summer. Everything is so expensive there though that I usually smuggle my food in.

And what? Sour Cream is great! But then again you're one of those mayo haters. I had some late night drunk Mcds last night...Mcdouble, add mayo...so good.

BB had a PS4 demo kiosk with this on it...for all intents and purposes with the 5 mins I played it is Metroid. I was more impressed by how Chasm looked...that game looks like it will be awesome. Either way I'm sure both will be amazing on Vita when they are cheap or free on Plus.

oh hell yeah. We went to Tijuana flats for dinner. There was a milf there across from me wearing the tightest jeans I have ever seen around a real nice ass and legs. She looked at me and she had beautiful ice blue eyes too.

I think I was in love.

Oh I forgot to mention she bent over in front of me for like 30 seconds for some reason. Ass up right in front of me.
Did you....ya know....talk to her?

I'll be first to ask if you have direct connection off in your ps4's rp settings (I imagine you do).
I have tried both. What happens is at first it's fine, but after a little while the image quality takes a dive and it puts up the icon indicating that it will imminently disconnect, then it gets better, repeat.

I should try switching back to the FiOS wifi router. I'm using a supposedly better one, but maybe RP doesn't work well with it.

That actually reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask here: When an indie game goes free on Plus--either at launch or later on--do the developers profit at all from the downloads other than the potentially positive word-of-mouth?

My love of stealth games comes from falling in love with Tenchu on the PS1, although more people probably got it from MGS that released shortly thereafter. Stealth forever!

And of course I love rhythm games because of the all-time great Parappa.

axiom verge is just ugly. It blows the 8 bit era metroid aesthetic by being too busy (metroid was clean and creatures were identifiable, axiom's are muddy and the environment is overdone in a bad way). I also think the main character looks totally blah compared to samus. It obviously misses the 16 bit mark intentionally, but yeah a huge missed opportunity to make something special instead of something that'll go into the 'retro to be retro' bucket for me. Some rogue legacy level graphics would've gone miles for the overall package, but hopefully there's enough different from metroid to still make it worth playing.

Uh no bro. Thats too scary!

No, I was with the family. And she was with her two daughters. I would never walk up to a mom who is out with her kids to hit on her. I tried not to stare too much so I wasnt caught by the family or looking too much more creepy than I already am.

I've never liked sour cream. But I'm a pretty picky eater anyway.

More importantly, how bout that Bucks comeback and buzzer beater last night! Great game to attend. Did the Bradley Center go nuts? I bet the Bradley Center went nuts.

I know some indie dev talked about how it had a good impact on sales, but I forget which one and it was a while back. I doubt Sony or the dev would ever reveal the details of the PS+ deal, though. I'm sure they either get a lump sum or a small per-purchase bonus. Probably the lump sum.

I had similar problems. For me it was having other wireless stuff cluttering things up (a baby monitor was a big problem, I imagine you must have an ancient cordless phone or something). I got a new access point that allowed multiple wifi APs, moved all the 802.11n to one and kept the ps4 and vita on their own 802.11g friendly AP and now I turn off the baby monitor and let her fend for herself. Boom! Excellent remote play.

I wasnt there! It's the Pacer game on Thursday I was going to. I'm not going to that anymore because my friends and I decided the Badger game is more important which is at the same time.

With that description? No way. He chickened out. That's not the way you describe a woman if you did more than look.
An yeah she was way out of my league. Looked like a work out freak cause she was crazy fit. Might have been a body builder too. Not those huge ugle man looking women, just hot. Almost like those hot wrestler chicks you see on the WWE. Hell she may be a WWE wrestler her legs were pretty damn thick and a lot of them train in the bay area.

I think Sony pays them from what I've heard. Not sure how much.

We do have a cordless phone, but it's not ancient. It runs on that higher frequency (or whatever it is) that I think isn't supposed to be a problem. Plus this stuff happens whether we are using the phone or not.

Ahh ok. Thought you said you were going to the Heat game. I'm probably just making shit up again, don't mind me.

Borderlands crew - I'm caught up in my story missions now. Are we planning on going for the platinum? Or you guys just running through for fun? Oh, and I don't have work today, that means I shouldn't pass out when we play tonight!

Kid from the social network as Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman:

His head is shaved. I guess I shouldn't expect more than that.

I just can't see it, he tried to talk tough in Social Network and it wasn't believable in that either, his voice is just too whiny.

The music in this will appeal to some of you I think:

Animated Empire-focused Star Wars short in 80's era Japanese anime-style.

I wouldn't say it missed the 8 bit era aesthetic entirely. Rather than looking straight like metroid, to me it seems like he went for a more Star Wars nes graphic style. Backgrounds and floor level detail were busier in those kind of games. To each his own on those kind of graphics, but I don't think he missed the mark. Would have loved it if he'd gone with a more 16 bit style instead though, but that probably would have had me just straight wanting to play super metroid even more.

Totally agree on the blah character though.

I was watching it live, and yeah they went pretty crazy from what I saw. That was a hell of a shot though! I still can't believe the Heat blew that lead, it was like they forgot how to play basketball in the 4th quarter.

Here is another fun fact about the season series between the Heat and Bucks: the Heat have had a double digit lead in all four games and have lost all four games.

I gotta say the Bloodborne music sounds pretty damn good. Makes me more interested.

So with The Order last month and Bloodborne this month, then MLB: The Show next week, I wonder how big an impact these exclusives are having on PS4 sales.

Other than Ori and the Blind Forest I'm not aware of any XB1 exclusives soon or recently. Though admittedly I don't pay as much attention there--anything I'm not aware of that MS can combat the PS4 releases with?

That star wars game looks like da Vinci in comparison.

Although looking through screenshots of axiom there's some cool looking stuff. Like this:

Or this:
AxiomVergeboss.jpg

So I guess my main problems stand, but it looks like bosses and environmental stuff of interest they might've actually put some effort in to.

I'll go diving tonight if anyone wants to play. Hopefully this one doesn't fuck up and we can get our shiny trophies (and be that much closer to finishing the campaign). I'm still like 400k experience away from level 25 but I think I'm out after this campaign is done. At least until interesting dlc hits.

He definitely put more effort into the bosses and forefront stuff. For whatever reason it seems like the pinkish background areas in some of his regular cave exploring areas got the shaft when it comes to effort. Did notice that during the stream yesterday. Judging from some of the other screenshots I've seen, it doesn't look like its affecting the greener areas as much. Kind of weird.

WTF we already eliminated the bug homeworld? Where was I when this happened?

Hey asshole I was gonna have my TitF review published today. If only the slow ass GG backend site would actually let me update anything in a timely fashion.
I'm looking forward to Jimmy's review.

"I enjoyed the balls bouncing."

"The balls bounce too much"

"Is this supposed to be tennis?"

Just managed to grab a Majora's New 3DS XL system at GS in store as they got a few more today  :) $$$
