Until the last couple of years I thought the only group of complete nut job fans with the setting things on fire shtick was West Virginia. Maybe Kentucky has had too many people move in from there or something.

So who else got the 'vitalegaloffer' email?
I did.

Here's the email, if anybody is curious and hasn't gotten it:

CASH BACK OR MERCHANDISE OFFER FROM

SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT AMERICA LLC

Dear Customer:

Our records show that you purchased a PlayStation Vita handheld game console prior to June 1, 2012. The Federal Trade Commission has alleged that some SCEA advertisements for the PlayStation Vita during this period were deceptive. Although SCEA neither admits nor denies liability in connection with this matter, SCEA has agreed to settle the dispute with the Federal Trade Commission by offering either cash back (or credit on your PSN account) or merchandise to customers who purchased a PlayStation Vita before June 1, 2012, and who have not returned the product for a full refund.

Accordingly, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to receive a check for $25 (or a $25 credit on your PSN account). Alternatively, you are eligible to receive a merchandise voucher that you can use to select from a list of merchandise, video games and/or services. The selection of merchandise, video games and/or services that are available through this offer has a retail value of $50 or more.

You are eligible to receive either a check for $25 (or a $25 credit on your PSN account) or a merchandise voucher, but not both. For details of each offer and to make your choice of the $25 check (or credit) or the merchandise voucher, please click here.

You MUST complete and submit the information requested in the above link by June 30, 2015 to be eligible to receive the $25 check (or $25 credit on your PSN account) or merchandise voucher worth $50 or more. Please be assured that your acceptance of this offer does not obligate you to purchase anything.

For more information on our settlement with the Federal Trade Commission, please visit www.ftc.gov and search for “Sony Computer Entertainment America.”

If you have any questions, please call Sony Computer Entertainment America claims administration at 1-800-410-5484.
The link takes you here:

No info on what it's looking for on account login/pass. I'm assuming this is a scam trying to get PSN info out of people.

It was a joke but right after watching a trailer for it I had the urge to play through Sleeping Dogs again. I got all the achievements on 360 but wouldn't mind playing it again even if it is on PS3 and not the newer version. But yeah, you can play it. When I was falling asleep last night my mind randomly came up with #MotorMay, racing game theme. That's a possibility unless someone comes up with other ideas. Before anyone asks, any vehicle counts or anything with a motor or wheel or futuristic engine. That includes a game with bicycles or unicycles or rollerskates or hoverboards or skateboards and so on. Boats or ships count as do feet lol.
wow I read that as motorboat may...

I guess Monster monpeice and DOA,not sure what else

I really don't know what in the world to do with this last (?) freedom wars boss.  Too much chaos, I need help.  Anyone still playing or have you all surrendered?

Here's a (spoilery?) video of this boss, skip to about minute 7-7:30 to see what I'm talking about.

KH 2.5 HD is finally $19.99 ($16 w/ GCU) at Best Buy: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kingdom-hearts-hd-2-5-remix-playstation-3/7656019.p?id=1219283946826&skuId=7656019

Also, LEGO Batman 3 on Vita is $9.99 again and there's a 30% trade-in bonus this week, but FYI, all Best Buy stores are closed on Easter Sunday.
I believe Targets are closed as well.

Which seems odd to me. I mean who actually celebrates Easter? Especially in this area, where people where the percentage of religious people is probably below 25%. Easter should really be the main holiday focus, it's pretty much what the whole Christian religion is based upon; but it just gets the shaft.

At least Easter still has some religious connotation to it, as opposed to Christmas which has gone fully commercial.

I'm not actually religious. Raised Catholic but haven't been in over 5 years. Expressing any sort of religious opinion in Portland is likely to get you met with a dismissive sneer.

Stores really only close because they would have to pay overtime rates to everyone.

At least Easter is still about Attis's yearly resurrection and Eostre and that we're not all dead after winter. Praise the sun.

And now I need to order replacement Vita thanks to a kid throwing it across the room. (not even during a fit)

Thank god everything's saved on the memory card.

Dear Diary,

So almost 100 percent on Valiant hearts. Gonna do the trophy for keeping soldiers alive in Somme, which is prolly pretty easy but just havent messed with it yet.

The other trophy I may never get. Gotta save Karl 3 times without messing up and its a QTE type thing and I spent an hour trying it and kept screwing up on the second set. First set aint bad, but the second one has 2 sections of fast presses and I cant get the timing down.

I don't celebrate a religious holiday and I don't know a lot of people do, so stores should stay open so I can buy my shitty Lego game since I can't wait one goddamn day.

Sound logic.

Hey, guys. Check the Vita link again. The page now leads not to a login/pass prompt but rather to a form that looks much more legitimate. The new form doesn't ask for your login/pass, just for stuff like your PSN email address and the serial number of your Vita. It also asks if you want $25 in check, PSN credit, or $50 in merchandise. Here's the merchandise you can choose from:

Let's take 8 games most people have and/or played and make 3 bundles. I'm sure that $25 check will take a year to be mailed out. PSN credit would probably be the fastest method.

Yeah, the $25 credit looks like the winner to me. Kinda bummed you can't get $50 in credit instead of the crappy merchandise selection. I'd thought earlier news postings made it sound like it was $25 cash or $50 credit. Oh well.

That vitaclaims site is active now. Only info it asks for is your email address for your psn id and to affirm that you owned a vita prior to some date. Free $25 psn credit is worth farming out my email address in case it's fake.

Edit - thermd be like 20 minutes, that'll teach me not to refresh

Ordered that lego movie game.

Elite so free shipping, 13 after tax aint bad.

Also season 3 of GOT on HBO2 all day.
I am playing it on Vita (was part of the Playstation TV bundle I got). Haven't gotten too far yet but having fun. 4 or 5 chapters in I think.

If I didn't already have it for Vita I would probably grab it for PS4.

I wouldn't put much stock in what a guy who hasn't even played it said.
