I think anything not locked up is considered a value game.
Nah when you scan them in the store some say Value game or something like that and the others do not. I scanned a small stack and the cheapest games I was interested in were $19.99. Only one I think was a Value game.

Inverted Access needs more non-PSN content. There. I said it. Also, more news in general. Even if you guys are working all day having people post some news or even a news summary of the day's biggest news would be good. And showing preview coverage or posting trailers for games will build a relationship and allow you to get better review options.

I think we would all agree with that. Are you volunteering for that job at the site?

i can't believe how you guys really managed to get review codes for games, and plenty of them, in such short time. #Impressed
They're almost to the point of being able to resell codes for massive profit!

So lots of click bait.

Yea people complained because we weren't breaking the news, just rehashing other sites...

There's plenty of all-console sites out there. I think it's fine that Inverted is focused on PSN.
Agreed. Do any of you guys even have capabilities to review a game that's not on a PS platform? That would also involve playing games without trophies. Might as well call a spade a spade and establish yourselves as a Playstation website.

Plus unless they're able to break news then it's not really necessary to re-post what other sites have already reported. Maybe some editorials but not just "according to IGN blah blah blah"

I have a 360, a WiiU, and 3DS consoles in my house. I wouldn't play the 360 since it is upstairs and I dont feel like dealing with the bitching my wife would do if I took over her space. Nobody would want to read anything I did for Nintendo since unless you are giving the big N a reach around in everything you post about them all you get is flames in the comments.

I know none of us have an Xbox One and I do not think any of us even have a gaming PC. I think those would be good additions, but there is so little that is not cross platform these days, does it really matter?

I would argue in terms of news it has been pretty equal across platforms and Nintendo probably has the most articles as of now actually.

IA doing news is silly. Readers are not going to go there to get news.

Reviews and Editorials are what you should focus on mainly. That and your streaming.

A podcast type stream that is done weekly that covers the major news of the week with editorial thoughts thrown in on whats happening that week would be way better than regurgitating other sites news or press releases.

Also a focus toward sony is not a bad thing in the least, its what you guys like and know. Besides your EIC is very anti MS and will never buy another MS console.

Whats the game sleeve say?

You need to email them, or I think there is a online chat thing too maybe? Either way, contact them about the issue. If sleeve says evolve and it aint evolve make sure they know as you want them to get that fixed. If sleeve says cod aw on it, chalk it up as a screw up on their part. Either way they should process in for you to get evolve again and have it set up to send asap even if they havent gotten the game you have now.

I haven't had that happen. I would contact them and tell them. They will likely just tell you to send it back and immediately ship you a new game. That is what they did on the one time I got a game that wouldn't boot. Hopefully this situation wont be any different.

I guess they could try to make it easier on themselves and send you a new envelope for COD AW so it will work go back into their inventory system the correct way.

If you dont report it, the next guy could and they may think you stole the Evolve disc.

yeah it says Evolve. I didn't even know what this game is and i looked up the trophy guide and 4v1 arena, and then I kicked my daughter off of terraria (if you ever see minecraft or terraria, it isn't me) and I was just bout to put the game in to load and im like advanced warfare mother fucker. lol. yeah ill contact them and pretend im angry. im so bad at pretending im angry. i have a good mean beard but they can't even see it.

Didn't know who was all going to join Inverted Access when we first started so we didn't want to limit it.  Now that it appears to just be us 4 would could probably close it down to PlayStation only, but I'm not sure there's an absolute need to.  It also limits the amount of news we can report on.  But yeah, none of us are even equipped to review a non-Playstation game.

News is easy but no fun to write.  It does make the site look like it has more content.  Yes we're rehashing but so is every other video game website.  Even that Deus Ex leak started from a single site, and every other site just rehashed it.  (honestly it probably started on Neogaf or reddit and sites just rehashed from there).  A wrap-up of the days biggest news could be cool, but again probably not that fun to write.  Remember we started the site for fun not to all quit our jobs and become internet sensations.

Editorials and Reviews are the focus right now, along with streaming obviously.  They're not going to help grow the site (we generally get more clicks on news articles) but they are good practice for us, more fun to write, and more of a resume builder anyway if any of us ever wanted to try and get on with another publication.

Cleaner is 100% right on previews, we should probably do a few more of those.  When requesting a review code and you've already previewed a game on your site, it looks great in the devs eyes.

Thanks. Based on the info I had before we started, I knew we'd get a few fairly quickly. But I'm also surprised with how much success we've had. Bastion was a really great get. We have to pace ourselves and make sure to provide proper press to everyone who is hooking us up.

I would love to join your site but I havn't written serious stuff in years. I also think I would be stepping on Gator's toes a bit because I would probly end up doing trophy/review mixes also. I'm down to stream and try to get a review in every so often. I havn't checked out other gaming sites in forever tho, so I would have to check out what they are doing. kotaku and neogaf sites or what game review sites are there? ign?

All good points. News is good to have, but probably difficult to generate clicks from it when the bigger sites will always beat you to it. I still think establishing a Sony focus would be good. Not that you guys are big enough to have anyone worried about credibility or whatever, but I don't know how much stock people will put into an editorial about Nintendo from a site with 100% Playstation game reviews/previews/streams.

Last sentence is a good point, we'll keep it in mind.

so I was looking at the trophy sites and beating Dragon's Crown with the wizard is the least acquired trophy of the 6 classes.

This is crazy because 90% of the time I am playing on Infernal or Ultimate difficulty I find wizards in co op.

I guess cuz the game says Wizard is the hardest, people choose him the least, but those that play the harder difficulties end up going for the wizard. idk.

also post level 99 is nonsense. I spent 2-3 hours questing last night and gained 2 levels. That's understandable but you don't get anymore skill points and it gives you a measly 1 stat point in like 3 stats when you level up. I guess 155x of minor stat increases is great, but ouch. (255 new level cap)

Stupid MildPete tricked me into going to target to check out this clearance sale. There was a big cardboard stand up with a bunch of games in it, but the sign just said "Discontinued games, ask for price check at register." You'll all be happy to know that spiderman edge of time on ps3 rang up as $50. DEALZZZ!

At least I got a bunch of half priced easter candy.

Okay, that's mainly what I wanted to know. Either be a straight up PS website or expand your content better. Just wanted to give some observations since it seemed like an odd mix.

i went with the fighter for that reason. i want to pick something else, but i also want to wait until i hit the point that i can skip the early levels with them. have 2 talismans so far, but i failed to get the last two i tried. i'll probably try grinding some consecutive a paths for a little while.

was going to stream some revelations raid mode, but my twitch is broken on the ps4. guess i'll try again tomorrow, since it's so close to time for tyler's streams.

I started watching The Fall on Netflix the other day. It's pretty damn good. I like police/detective stories though. This one deals with a serial killer/strangler. I like that it shows the perspective of the detectives and killer.
