i hate durability issues in games. in dragon's crown it almost makes sense, cuz then you need multi bags to keep questing and etc. and that is fixed with an easy x then square fix all button at the shop. but twice the weardown than the game was meant to have in an already hardcore game sounds rough.

PS Blog post regarding the patch (probably what I should have linked to in the first place): http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/04/14/bloodborne-sells-one-million-first-1-03-details/

No more Easy Mode by leaving the PS4 running overnight, Pharm.

God, did I just read all of that? I have nothing more to contribute. I like reading your guys reviews now and again and wish you success. I could do with less of the excessive self promotion (e.g., answering a question with a link), but it sounds like you guys are receiving that criticism loud and clear now.

On to important stuff like MKX today! I'll definitely be playing tonight, but will probably want to get through the story before hopping online. I really enjoy Netherealms story modes and it lets me brush up on a good chunk of the characters.

Gamefly is having another "Under $15 Blowout Sale" according to the email I just got, but it seems to be PS3/360 only and I'm seeing a whole lot of nothing.

EDIT: Not a complete waste--How To Train Your Dragon 2 :)360:) is $9.99 and trades in to Best Buy at $14 base. The 30% bonus is still live this week, so you'd get $18.20 per copy ($19.60 w/ GCU).

Actually it's pretty cool. I don't stand a chance at getting 10 ranked in a row without boosting and I honestly can't figure out what the fuck the online even does. It might be the single most convoluted interface I've seen in a long time.

Be advised there's a day one 1.8gb patch.

It has online events like helldivers which seem to be the only trophies no one has gotten yet (maybe cheaters on the xp grind though). So its apparently not as ridiculous as previous entries, but probably still a timesink.
I wasnt planning on getting the plat. I will probably play it for a week or two to get as many commons as possible then trade it in for what I paid. Then get money back when it inevitably goes on sale in the next month.

Same here, I'll try to get online trophies squared up (although with mk the online community is less likely to dry up like other fighting games). I can't justify full price for a fighting game no matter how many hours of entertainment I get out of it.

It does look really nice though, better than internet footage would have you believe. Feels clunkier than mk9, but there might be an adjustment period.

I am in Nightmare of Mensis in Bloodborne, which I think is the second to last one. That place is a bitch when you first get to it (frenzy meter keeps filling up unless you are standing behind a rock, plus a bunch of annoying enemies). Took me a bunch of deaths to figure out you just need to high tail it out of there and avoid all enemies.

And I have officially beaten The Order. It was mediocre in pretty much every respect except graphics. I think the 60-something score it is sitting at on Metacritic is perfectly fair. So much wasted potential.

So people are now saying that the Dennis Quaid meltdown that Cro posted yesterday may just be another Jimmy Kimmel prank thing.
Yeah they were discussing it on the radio this morning. I guess some of his "lines" were similar or exactly like what Bale said in his tirade a few years ago. Either way its pretty funny I think.

You must be terrible at games. I finished that section with my feet while blindfolded.

Thanks for the Type-0 help guys (I'd quote but I already lost the posts). I knew you could redo the missions, but I wasn't sure if the Eidolons carried over to count for the trophy like knowing tags. Probably work on finishing up knowing tags and start Eidolons tonight then, I'm hoping I'll have the plat before this weekend. Two plats in a month would be cool, even if one of them was the order.

I think I beat Vita Lego Movie. Finished the 15th chapter got the Prophecy Fullfilled trophy and some cut scene. Then the game crashed. Reloaded it everything is unlocked. Never really saw the credits though.

Need to figure out what to play next on my Vita.
Zero escape 2: Virtue's Last Reward, assuming you had PS+ then. Or if you want to stick to #AA, Star wars Zen 2 pinball.

If any of you decide to get in on this flip, make sure to lock in an online trade through Best Buy just in case Gamefly is slow in shipping and you don't get the game(s) before the 30% bonus ends.

You might know this already, but the story mission "The Capture of Togareth Stronghold" is good for farming Knowing Tags as you can get 4 of them (3 in the first safe room, 1 in the next room IIRC) and finish in ~5 minutes each time.
I started Lego Batman 3, I've never played a Lego batman game before, but I've heard 1 and 2 are a lot better than 3. True?
I played Lego Batman 2 on 360. I also played Lego Batman 3 on Vita. Both are fun but liked the open world of 2 on a console much better then the hub system in Lego Batman 3 on vita. Never played 1 though.

That looks delicious
Edit: that fry sauce isn't some mayo shit is it?
It used to be and it was delicious. Now it has some weird other spice or flavor added to it and it sucks. i couldn't put my finger on it but i recognized the flavor. but it was so gross i didn't want to eat anymore of it to figure it out. i just kept picturing that lady that drank rotten coffee for years or whatever she thought.

I think some weird BBQ sauce or something.

any news about a patch for the dark souls 2 remake. about the double frame rate means half the weapon durability?
Considering they never fixed it in the PC version I have a feeling they are probably just going to play dumb and pass it off as a "feature" given DS2:R is like a master quest reshuffling of Dark Souls 2. You can straight up buy the lower quality ores and farm for chunks easily enough in the bellkeeper covenant so it should be pretty easy to keep multiple copies of a weapon should you need it until you can get access to unlimited repair powder if you find the weapons are breaking between bonfires. There is a warning that pops up on screen when they are close to breaking so you don't have to worry about keeping track of the durability to know when to use the powder.

That's one thing I really liked about Dark Souls 2 that they changed from the other Souls games. In the past you had to go back to the blacksmith or to the bonfire and repair your weapons and armor each time. Now you only have to repair items if you let them degrade to zero durability. Resting at a bonfire automatically repairs all your non-broken stuff for free.

I imagine it's only really negatively impacting katana users as those have pretty low durability. Normal straight swords have like 2.5X the durability so if katana users could deal with it in the original game before stuff was degrading twice as fast I wouldn't think people using non-brittle weapons would have major issues in the remaster.

Fry sauce is typically a mix of mayo and ketchup. Basically the foundation of Thousand Island dressing. Both are fuck ing delicious and anyone that says otherwise is dead to me.
Then I'm dead to you, thousand island and mayo are disgusting

@Tyler: that's too bad. I wonder if they'll eventually change it back or maybe a cook was just experimenting or something?

So just getting caught up on the days gaming news since I've been kinda busy with some other stuff.

So this Guitar Hero thing sounds kind of weird.  And after years of absences from both of them, both Rock Band and Guitar Hero announce comebacks just a couple months apart?  Wasn't the whole reason it faded away in the first place because the market was flooded with the peripherals and shit?

yeah there are a lot of dead people that post in this thread. more than I ever thought could possibly hate mayo in the whole world.

Also, is it weird I can speak to dead people? If I could see you I would change my name to Haley Joel Osment.

The only Lego game I played without the hub was on the 360

I haven't finished it, I don't know if it was because it was the 360 but I didn't like it

new systems to sell new peripherals and shit. rock band 3 was awesome but they could only sell the keyboard as extra. all that ps3 stuff won't work on ps4 i presume, so new market for the whole band kit again

I think the Rock Band people said all the old PS3 instruments would still work on PS4.

Actually that says they all are except the keytar.

Looks like GH wants you to have more plastic though. with their 3 button thing going on.

Image of new GH guitar...seems weird and way simple....

Is it a state mandate for all of Utah's burger joints to have their own fry sauce? I ate at The Training Table a few times and the servers always brought out this bowl of red sauce with a scoop of mayo in the middle.

I never got into the plastic guitars on Guitar Hero and Rock Band, even though I ended up owning a bunch of them, including the Pro Guitar and keyboard for RB3.  Mostly just sang and banged on the drums.

Bought 1, gonna give it a go. Not sure how quick Gamefly would ship to me...they always seemed slow when I tried the service. We'll see. Thanks for the flip.
