Majora's Mask CE Guide $15.75 plus tax (price reflects in cart)

Huh, 50% off strategy guides, though it doesn't appear to work on preorders (e.g., The Witcher 3's CE guide). I might have considered this if I wasn't low on GS credit and content with my VersusBooks guide for the N64 version. Thanks anyway.

FYI, that brings the guide for Type-0 HD down to the same price.

I think I've got most of the easy ones but I'm down to help. There's also an invasion going on right now if you want to dig in to those trophies. Ends in like 17 hours.
I havent played any online as I am scared. Seriously, I think I will get flawlessed every time since I saw your Tower score on one of your challenges was like 350K. I cant get over 234K trying my best. There are SO MANY moves to remember and you have to input them so fast. How the hell do you do it?

They have DLC to make the combos easier. Are the combos faster/more difficult in MKX?

It is nice to wake up to a jump in my True Trophy points for a change.  Usually I watch my platinums gradually lose points.  Today, a couple of people played Element4l and only got the trophy for finishing the intro level.  I'll take the overnight 99 point jump.

Mild will answer I am sure but I am not a good barometer of what is easy or hard in a fighting game as I havent played one since the last MK in 2011. And I didnt play that very long. Before that I hadnt played a fighting game since...oh i dont know...the PS1? Maybe? If not, it was the Genesis!

I hate to continue to destroy the illusion, but on the towers I'm seriously just doing jump punches followed immediately by an uppercut. Over and over. I do try to get the challenges in the towers too, that's part of what gets the scores higher.

Don't worry, I suck too compared to most people online. Even then, MK online is primarily people that learn one long painful combo and virtually no strategy. So generally by the second time you play someone it's apparent how they get in to start their one combo and you can adjust. If you block/avoid their in, they flounder.

The invasion boss fight is just a suped up cpu controlled mileena on hard difficulty with armor. You have to survive 30 seconds for your contribution to count which is way harder than it sounds. I've been able to do it a couple times with goro but there were a bunch of failures in between. I'll probably grind the 1000 invasion boss fight hits today so I never have to bother with it again.

New (boring) trailer for Everybody's Gone to the Rapture:

Cool, maybe we can talk tonight and you can explain this invasion boss thing to me.

All the controls feel stiff. I'm not sure that things require any more precision, but there seems to be fewer button mashing combos and I'm definitely having trouble getting stuff strung together consistently.

The dlc for this game is nuts. It's a little annoying to hear that in the review version of the game the gold was a lot easier to come by. the day one patch considerably cuts how much gold is given out making the krypt a longer grind. At least there's a $20 dlc that unlocks everything in the krypt or something.

I don't know why I had it in my head this game was an indie. Obviously, that is not the case. The trailer is nice visually, but you get absolutely nothing about what the game will be like from that.
I don't get the point of trailers like that. Especially for a new game that people aren't familiar with. Might as well just issue an image that says "This is our new game" instead of wasting resources to put together that useless video.

Considering the TIV is $32 and they have the 30% still going on I will be trading Mortal Kombat in Saturday. Best Buy is already paying me to play the game and now I can hope it goes on sale in the next month or so. So I can bitch about their terrible CS and not worry about Keeper telling me how he got $50 and a happy ending.

Hey pharm

I started Matt Hazzard BB&B last night because I needed to run-n-gun some assholes.  Pretty fun, though it was annoying making the 2nd player follow me along to get the co-op trophy.  I liked the Bioshock parts of the opening level.  Couldn't get any of the level specific trophies, probably because I was tired and slow reacting.  Hope they're not all that hard as my initial thoughts indicate.

They want to create hype from the drama created in this thread when we post a news article about it on IA. We are onto them though, so that won't be happening.

You were tired. The only difficult trophy is the Houston, We Have Perfection. Landing that some bitch smack dab in the middle with no speed is a PITA.

That's good to know. Can you save and continue your progress in the story mode later? Seemed like that wasn't an option, just the individual level selection. I fell asleep during one of the "you lost all your lives, want to continue?" countdowns and couldn't keep going.

I dont remember specifically but I know I didnt have to complete the whole thing in one setting. I am sure you can save somewhere.

That looks amazing and hilarious.

That line was weird because bollocks means balls, so travelling through time sounded like the dog's balls to him, and he was excited about it, so dude likes dog's balls. You guy's never told me that's what The Order was about.

Yup, The Order was all about crude humour.

Being at the end of God of War on Vita, there's no way I can see myself playing II again. These games age so terribly it's not funny.
I wonder if thats just the Vita port issues? I replayed 1 and 2 on PS3 not too long ago and didnt think they aged terribly at all. Of course I am a big fan so it may just be a difference of opinion here.

Or I didnt see the yellow font.

And yeah, I'll have to wait until Monday to trade it but I should manage to get more than 40 of the trophies and some beautiful memories of mkx. That'll tide me over until the complete edition.

We might be able to pick up the 200 online games by just leaving a koth private match running overnight if anyone wants to try that.

No yellow font needed. The story is obviously alright in the first game, but to say the gameplay holds up to what it once was is a joke.

But yes, the vita version is shit. I'm pretty sure it looks worse than the PS2 version.

I know it seems like more people here prefer the bass, but I assume there are drummer fans too.  This video is pretty damn cool.
