I never like it when Zimm doesn't let us know The Evil Within is $15 (PS4) at Target with cartwheel (50% off) and I have to find out about it in the deals thread.

Probably sold out at my shitty Target but if I am in the area I will take a look. I have a $10 GC from a previous cart wheel.

Almost bit on Alien. I started the Xbone version awhile back then traded it with intentions of playing more when the price dropped. Not wanting to replay those opening few hours is the only thing that stopped me.

Crap, that's almost enough to make me want to join Twitter.

...Almost.

Anyone been having issues queueing up a download for PS3 or Vita on the web store? The last few times I've tried it it says no dice. I thought it was because I temporarily turned off PS3 auto updates so I didn't overwrite stupid Magrunner saves, but those are turned back on now and it's happening on Vita too.
Yeah haven't been able to queue up anything to my PS3 for a couple weeks now. Figured it was something I did that caused it to disconnect.

I already follow them and just ran through this. Hopefully I did it right. I basically just read twitter and almost never tweet.

Thanks.

Voted for Wendy's because I don't like Sonic.

Voted for Five Guys because I was force to pick something and they are closer to me.  Not even sure we have an In and Out.  Have not eaten at either though.

Five Guys is over rated. They try to make up for their well done cooking of the burgers by injecting them with grease. Or at least that's they way they seem to be to me. The fries are really good, though. Unfortunately In and Out is nowhere near me and I've never been to one. Abstain.

You guys keep talking about burger grease like it's a bad thing.

Any of you metal heads listen to Meshuggah? They've been my goto internet radio seed for the last couple weeks. Heavy Fire was made so much more fun with that blasting away.

Used to greatly enjoy them 10-15 years ago. Still do, occasionally, but the itch Meshuggah used to scratch is better touched by bands like Martyr or Blood Red Throne for me.

What Meshuggah does have going for them that the djent movement Meshuggah spawned hasn't approximated is the overarching atmosphere of dread and dreariness in the songwriting. The majority of djent bands might play around with rhythms like Meshuggah does, but they don't have the same robotic or borderline depressing element to their approach. In that sense, Meshuggah almost takes the form of a doom or drone band for a good portion of their work (from Nothing to now), whereas djent bands tend to have more pop sensibilities.

Thanks for the band recommendations. I'll check those out.

I didn't discover Meshuggah until probably 4 or 5 years ago, but rarely listened to it. Re-discovered it recently and they're still making me itchy (that sounds weird).

Martyr and Blood Red Throne are pretty different from Meshuggah, generally speaking. Martyr though, especially on Warp Zone, has some of the rhythmic variance that is Meshuggah's hallmark. Think of them as a Death and Meshuggah mashup (on that album, at least). Blood Red Throne is a straight-forward death metal band with a ton of thrash sensibilities, and a crazy bassist.

If you haven't yet heard Cynic's 'Focus,' give that one a listen. Not overly aggressive, but it's something you don't have to be in an angry mood to enjoy.

ok awesome. The rhythmic variance is what really drives me to Meshuggah over and over now. But I'll definitely check out all of those. Always enjoy discovering new bands.

Used Twitch for the first time yesterday and checked out Tyler's video on Shovel Knight (good stuff).

At one point I learned he never played this great NES game:

Even when you pause the game, the background animation continues.

Yeah thanks for watching and especially participating! That is always appreciated!

And yes I haven't played the game, though I'm familiar with the series. Weren't those games extremely difficult?

Trying to remember, what was the thread's opinion on The Evil Within?  I have no interest in 5 playthroughs for a plat but maybe a quick play and trade.

Is it just me or does the Oddworld series need to move the fuck on or die off? They just keep re-releasing the same stupid fuck ing obscure games no one really gave a shit about in the first place. It kind of feels like an exclusive record store day club you have to be a wacko drugged up shithead to join into. I don't hate music....but that homerunner video was pretty great. Press Release! Oddworld on gold vinyl next!

EDIT - Don't worry I got New and Tasty from the store.

You'll learn a lot from Twitch streams. Cage is good in my book because he knows about Blaster Master.

Welcome to PSNOT.

I felt like Stranger's Wrath really stood the test of time and was awesome! Everyone here shat on Munch's Oddyssee pretty bad, and playing New & Tasty the other day I really felt like it wasn't very good at all unless you have some nostalgia for it. So yes, I agree for the most part.

A downloadable Strangers Wrath 2 would be an awesome place for them to move on to.

I think her face has somehow gotten even chubbier. She can still get it, though.

"You're that new coach who don't like rapin'!"

Didn't watch the video totally but yeah her face is even chubbier even tho she doesn't look like she's put on a ton of wait. Also saw a video of her on r/cringe where i guess she tried to pull off some dumb "joke" where she fell down in front of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. I didn't watch it either.

Best Tales game since Vesperia--73 in-game hours of pure JRPG bliss.

97, 98, 01, 05. So yeah Stranger's Wrath is the newest but they're all pretty old.  It's weird that they've pretty much worked backwards in their remakes.
