First few levels of Act 3 are actually the worst from the perspective of added enemies. There are enemies in latter levels, but they are used more sparsely and unlike the 3rd level, there are safe points you can jump to in order to catch a breather.
I was having difficulty with the final boss, he chucks charged explosive crates at you and you have to drop down the opposite polarity in order to deflect it away, but deflection seemed to stop functioning in the 3rd phase of the fight. I don't know if it was hitting something behind me and the explosive radius was large enough that that is why I was dying or what. I was able to compensate by waiting around at the second position and then nailing him with an extra explosive so that I could get to the 3rd position and load the last explosive projectile before he became unstunned.
I've seen a few Cthulhu movies and the story still kinda went over my head, I think you would have to be a pretty big H.P. Lovecraft buff to get the references. I wish they would have amped up the horror / suspense a little more.
Last leg of the game was a little more annoying given how you had to reload the autosave from a flash drive every time you died for the trophy as there is no manual save slot, but I still enjoyed my time with it.
So that's 4 for Adaptation April, a little late.
