Seems to be the crux of most shows. Start out well and then derail.

It's what makes Breaking Bad so essential.

No, because there is an opportunity cost attached to it, the $170 of credit could have been put toward something else. There is also the cost of the time spent taking in the flips to gamestop / best buy / packaging them up to be sent to amazon. That is a good price on the system though, hopefully they don't announce a price drop / spiffy bundle at E3.

Does anyone remember when cag was strictly against all flipping talk? And everyone bedeviled slickdeals as the hoarding monsters that ruined it for those of us that just wanted one single copy to actually play?
Difference is now everyone flips all the garbage cheapo games and make a few dollars a pop. Then they turn around and get the newest release games with GCU. So rarely are there actual deals on new games like I remember there being back when all the El Hordo complaints were so common.

I don't engage in flippery because it's not worth the hassle to me, but there is a difference between exploiting the difference in cost and trade in values between two stores and buying a bunch of a new, high demand, low supply item and reselling it to consumers at a highly inflated markup.

$906,632

Thats his earnings so far this year. Will most likely hit 2 million plus if plays decent enough. He has sponsors too but cant find anything about how much he gets from them, but given where he is in career, those type things should pay for his travel costs, his player card (you have to pay to be in pga I think) etc.

Good article about him.

According to that sponsors should be worth at least another 200k.
Yeah, but I bet my TT score is higher than his, so there.

Dude, if I could make close to $100K eating and drinking while playing a "sport" like bowling I would do it!  Besides, I bet those top guys get some sponsorships and at least double those earnings.

I miss cag groups. I was in charge of the flipping group for like 2 years and then bam, no more groups. I still have a list of like 100 flippers that were in that group but I don't think it will ever be the same. That was back when bestbuy was giving away free games and then you could walk back in and flip them for 20 each and bbv was still in business. good times

So pretty.

I remember finishing the first one in one sitting on a projector in someone's basement. Good times.

I was (am? It's still alive but it's pretty inactive lately) in a flipping group that eventually moved off of CAG onto our own forum. Vig was a member, and Jeff/Pete joined but wasn't that active, which they got pretty pissed about. There was talk several times about adding you, but usually one of the admins shot you down.

If anyone decides to get nom nom, and wants to co-op, I'll get it too. Cause witcher, hyperdimension bullshit, and destiny dlc aren't enough. On that note, I should probably buy ultratron too.

Might have to give up on Sly Cooper IV. Can't seem to get past this raft part on the prison break mission.

Get wiped out by the dynamite throwing rabbits in under 15 seconds each time.

I still visit that forum occasionally, but the past few times there's either been nothing going on or flipping talk that doesn't interest me (e.g., flipping shoes/music/toys/not-games/etc.).

I will still be playing it off and on for a while. I have to get started on Broken Age for another review and I have 2 Gamefly games collecting dust at home as well. I really just want to keep playing more Nom Nom though.

Nom Nom also would make for a great CLIT game with the challenge leaderboards that reset every 2 days.  It has 4 different solo levels for each of those periods so we different people could win each game type for points.  I think that would make it even more interesting than the competitions that were done before.

Trying my best to make Vig spend money even though it is probably futile.

I was hoping to get it out yesterday, but that didn't happen. For anyone interested, here is a link to my review of Nom Nom Galaxy.

http://invertedaccess.com/2015/05/19/pixeljunk-nom-nom-galaxy-review/

TL; DR version: Buy it for $12 this week with Plus.
I was wondering what this Nom Nom Galaxy game everyone was talking about, I didn't realize it was a pixeljunk game. The fusion of tower defense and diner dash does not sound appealing at all to me, thanks for the review anyway.

Thank god. Im hoping the next best player in the league (and current top 3 at 21!) gets to actually play for a good coach someday.

Yeah, it's pretty dead. There has been some talk lately about adding some new members, but I don't know if that would help. Rather than just trade flipping, a lot of the action was based on buying low at stores like GS and selling high on Amazon/eBay. Those opportunities just aren't nearly as plentiful as they used to be now, thanks in part to GS matching eBay prices now.

finally finished the campaign on revelations 2. It didn't really get exciting for me until the last episode. I don't know what's happened to these guys. They just can't pace a game very well anymore. Might try to grab a few more quick trophies, and then get it traded in. Don't think I can put myself through another 2+ playthroughs for the plat. They've got the gameplay/controls down now at least.

I, for one, love the danganronpa games. I I can source just the art book on the cheap.

If it came with a pimp Monokuma figure or plush, I might have been interested as the only thing I like out of it is the box art.

I did not know what Diner Dash was so I looked it up. I am not certain that is a great comparison, but the time management piece I guess is sort of similar although not that manic at all.

The tower defense piece is definitely important in Nom Nom but it is not a huge part of the gameplay. If it were, I would not have been as big of a fan as what I am since I do not care for tower defense games myself. I pretty much bought guns to protect my base and let them do all the defending while I continued to gather stuff for soup near the end of the game.

Thanks for taking a look and if you or anyone else want to try a bit of the game out, I could Share Play a level with you. Just let me know.
