It's nice that it is on Vita and was free, but Resogun is straight up eye poison compared to the PS4 version.

Plays REALLY well though, which is all that matters. Also haven't played since launch. Playing on Experienced now is almost like a whole new game. New patterns, enemy locations, etc. Definitely gonna be a bit tougher this go-round.

I'm a bit surprised to hear it plays that well, since it dropped from 60fps on PS4 to 30fps on Vita.

Hah. Thinking about it, I wonder if the Vita plays it better over RP than natively, since Vita now does RP at 60fps. Though I've not tested that feature so don't know yet how well it actually works.

was looking for a list of playstation plus platformers for the ps3, and i came across this gem of an article.

http://www.gamepur.com/feature/18749-playstation-plus-free-games-collection-lacks-variety-and-quality-heres-how.html

from the article

Sony should start to care about it because acting this way it is harming the entire gaming industry. Did you see this month's Games with Gold for Xbox? That offer (Pool Nation FX and CastlesStorm Definitive Edition on Xbox One; Mafia II and F1 2013 on Xbox 360) responds to a fall in quality of PlayStation Plus' Instant Game Collection: if my competitor isn't performing, I can be too. That's how Microsoft seems to have worked on this. Competition is the base for every market to rise, and I honestly hope both the platform holders will do much better in June.

Why do you think we feel entitled? We feel disappointed. Personally, I'd rather get one game every two months that shows off the system's potential rather than regurgitations of last-generations hits. i.e. Transistor? It's a great game, but really? That's the kind of game I would have expected to see on the SNES or my iPhone. I'm not expecting new releases but still...

Thanks. I could definitely pick a few out of those, though they'll have to be shorter in length since I want Witcher 3 to be the only long-haul game on my plate right now.

Pretty good potential on the daily challenge today Soph. Just don't fuck it up like I did.
No dice. Made it to the Mothership and despite dozens of hours of spelunkin I apparently couldn't remember that bombs thrown with a pitcher's mitt will rebound straight off the Alien Queen's shields.

Was tempted to upload the last few seconds of the run because when that sticky bomb attached itself to my face I just bugged the hell out and ran around like a crazy man in a futile effort to defy my fate, lol.

We're all in agreement that #SpelunkySeptember will be a thing, yeah?

i still might pick it up anyway if i enjoy the demo. it could have just as easily been a $40 title with the amount of content in it. i support their pricing. i would have considered it at launch if there weren't other things coming out at the same time.

yeah, i don't know what people expect from quests in rpgs. especially ones that simulate mmos. i'll give you that the floor dungeon quests were terrible. i didn't play enough into the hollow, but it seemed like a more fun area to be in. seems like the story quests in lost song are going to have more excitement than the repeating dungeons of hollow. side quests are going to be typical.
How far did you get? It was quote on quote basically quest one collect these ingredients, quest two defeat this many monsters, quest three defeat the mini boss, and then the final dungeon boss. That's all it was. Every floor felt like groundhog day in the worst way. That was just a real lazy job by the developer. I mean .hack repeated a lot of stuff but at least it felt like you were sort of playing the mmo.

I'm complaining about the game but I still really enjoyed the game. Wouldn't have spent 200 hours otherwise.

Only 6 more of these damn enigmas to do.  I realized it was probably worth it to get that armor before getting to the end of my play time with the game.  If not for it unlocking the armor these might rank up there with the chests for the worst collectibles in the game.  At least all the points you need for those can be unlocked on your map.  This Easter egg hunt BS is annoying.

According to a GS employee who posts on CAG, the 50% trade-in bonus promo that starts on Monday (6/1) lasts through the following Sunday (6/7).

Yeah it was just a suggestion too. You guys can decide on whatever theme you want.

My bad for not running the thread title and poll for an off topic thread on a cheap gamer website by an editor first. Next time I'll email it all to Vig and Pitfall for final approval before posting.

I thought Frasier was supposed to be terrible. Is it not?
I think it's awesome, but there's definitely nostalgia there.

I mean, it has it's own page on wikipedia for awards it won:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_awards_and_nominations_received_by_Frasier

I mean, it's a 90's multi-camera sitcom, but compared to the competition around then it was one of the best. Grammar, John Mahoney, and especially David Hyde Pierce are all great in it, and the writing is pretty snappy and clever.

It might be pretty hard to just go back to and start now, but not really because of outdated references or anything. Mostly because that multi-camera style of shooting TV shows just feels so dated and cheap compared to stuff like The Office, Parks and Rec, Louie, Veep, Modern Family (ugh) and Orange is the New Black.

I am now much much dumber for reading that article. Harming the game industry? Giving away 72 games per yer for $50 and they're "harming" the gaming industry. What an absolute entitled fuckface prick.

Oh man it's so much better than Cheers. Diane is possibly the worst character I've ever seen on TV. She just brings down every scene and episode she's in.
I'm gonna wait for Stotch to come in here and point out your terrible opinions. Diane does suck for the most part, but the rest of the cast make up for it.

I enjoy the whole rest of the cast, but Frasier is still better.

I've always wondered how Cheers fans consider the Fraiser continuations of some of the character's stories. There's probably a half dozen episodes with Cheers characters in them.

The ones I saw were good, especially the one in Boston. Lilith looks really good on Frasier compared to Cheers.

Cops capture loose pig, pig takes shit in the backseat of the cop car.  Pics in spoilers, the look on the pig's face is priceless.

Personally I never fully got into Frasier, even though I liked him a lot on Cheers.   Don't know how some of you guys think Cheers is crap while Frasier is gold.
