Two months away and there still isn't anything but these stupid little videos that they have released that give us nothing about the game. At least the quotes from the dev in the article give us a bit of a hint that it is apparently a first person exploration style game. Luckily that is just enough info that allows me to stop giving a shit.

Yeah it's gonna be artsy garbage.

I'm afraid you are correct. Somehow though all the trolls that constantly bitch about indy games on PS4 will totally skip bitching about this when it is the exact thing that they should be complaining about instead of indy games. This is a first party title where Sony resources were used to create it. You can point to it causing other games not to be created. That is not true about the indy games. All those mouth breathers will be mesmerized by pretty graphics and give it a pass.

Using the phrase "mouth breathers" will always get you a like from me.

I seriously have no understanding and can't fathom how the fuck it's not Friday yet!

On a good note, I beat Bane in Arkham Origins last night so I should be finishing it up shortly. :) Go me...that will be 2 (Sly 3 being the first) finished for me already. It does help that I haven't finished much the last 2 months though and Sly was a carry over.

I think I'm going to play Infamous Second Son next and then on to Arkham Knight on release as long as the reviews are super awesome.

Apparently that Bloodstained game coming to Vita means that they will be porting Unreal Engine 4 to the Vita, which I imagine is a good thing. They are going to share the code with other Vita developers. They are also porting it to Wii U too.

I haven't read it yet but here is an article on how they intend to do it.

If ever there was a time for Sony to pull their heads out of their asses in concerns to the Vita now is the time. All they need to do is pull a Nintendo. New slightly more powerful Vita, dual triggers, micro SD storage. Get UE4 over and boom you have the mother fuck ing handheld for all time.

Does anyone happen to want a code for the iOS game Monument Valley? Was at Starbucks yesterday and that's the free app of the week so I picked one up (I already have the game). Let me know and I'll PM it to you.

Am I the only one thinking they have a better shot of getting it to run on the Vita than on the Wii U? That is from someone who owns both (just finished Pikmin 3 last night and it was awesome).

I know that Ratchet game is cool, but why didn't they just make a new game instead of making a game that is based on the first game?

If it has that infuriating bit where you are trying to outrun rising water, then I'm out.

Sorry, you've been Therm'd.
I posted about this yesterday, and linked directly to the Kickstarter source rather than some Engadget re-post bullshit. :shame:

Do you even read the thread?

Its actually a game based on the movie based on the game.

Because the movie was based off the premise for the first game and the new version of the game has new parts added (I think) to go along with the movie.

Jesus gramps. That one section of that one level took like 2 minutes and only took a few tries to pass.

Surprised you thought that. I thought it would be another we would both want to play. I guess I know who is getting that review code if we request it.
Mostly I meant visually. Running animation is super dull (there's like 3 frames of animation there) and the backgrounds look bland as well, that's what made me think it was a mobile port. But I'll still play a platformer no matter how ugly. That being said, it's all yours.

I suspect they'll probably both require about the same amount of work - if I had to guess the core thing they'll have to do is scale back a bunch of the ue4 features/effects with target ifdefs to make it run at some sort of reasonable framerate and create compile targets for the two different machines. Maybe they can just reuse the existing mobile device code to some extent (which I think is an existing target)? I'd also guess that they'll actually touch a fraction of the ue4 code (just enough to get bloodstained running), but who knows. Announcing that they'll share their work means that professional pride will definitely be a factor in the quality of the final product so hopefully that's good. But they also made the map for that vita Batman game.
