Pizza Hut pizza is gross.

Speaking of pizza, any of y'all ever eaten at an Uncle Maddio's? It's like a pizza version of Moe's; pretty good pizza.
Never heard of it. I'd say I'd try it but I never have reason to go to Knoxville and there's no way in hell I ever want to stop while driving through Atlanta. :nottalking:

So apparently when you forget your password to CAG you have to request it and sign in with your old original screen name, someone didn't think that through.
Don't you have to use the old screen name as your login? I use my original screen name when logging in.

Yeah stotch is right. The batmobile controls are terrible. He has all these cool toys and money but he can't get the batmobile suspension right? The back end hops around like its on cheap springs of a some ghetto hood rats civic si.

Also the graphics are nice but dontseem to be much of an upgrade from prior games.

Worst game of the year confirmed.

I'll probably love it by the end.

Yeah I am tempted to play through this bitch on easy just cause. I know I wont beat new game plus on nightmare nor will I bother with 400 riddler challenges. So no plat anyway.

I really need to find a guide and play though it that way to piss off Tyler.

Asylum is definitely the best in the series. It seems like the more they try to do, the worse the games get. City opened up a ton of stuff, but it was filled with mindless challenges and stupid collectibles. Then Origins doubled those, plus added that stupid upgrade system. Knight removes a lot of that stuff, but still throws in a ton of crap like boring Batmobile sections where you have to fight 20 tanks...and then 15 more just a few minutes later.

Back to American McGee's Alice. Game really has not aged well. It wasn't bad at first, but getting further in has revealed some seriously annoying platforming and combat mechanics. At least you can save anywhere, which I'm doing constantly to avoid having to go back very far when things don't go the way I expect. Halfway through, so I'll stick to it. Planning to play Madness Returns next month and I expect that'll be a lot more comfortable.

0wl: What weapons did you use in Alice? I know you said they were better than in Madness Returns, but I'm using the knife and cards almost exclusively.

Just a heads-up: that Sega Genesis collection for PSP is not natively Vita compatible. You have to download to PS3 and then transfer to Vita from there, it looks like. I'll test and post again once I've verified it works.

Im tempted on that. Can you save in game?
No trophies. ♡

I'm on the batmobile control complaint batwagon (ha!) too. I can only imagine the riddler races are going to get worse. Give me dem combat challenges any ol day.

The city is a little too cluttered. I don't need 500 grapple points to pick from when I look up. Those city planners should be hanged.

That said, it's pretty cool. The batman games already looked good so this just looks a bit gooder. It's probably too big for it's own good and asylum will remain king. Oughta be a good time though.

I've had 3 people contact me via PSN now about Riptide. I guess from the trophy sites or something since I was one of the few early players. Kinda cool.

PST.org said there's no difficulty related trophies but that NG+ is set to Knightmare mode. You can unlock it by playing on easy.
yeah I know but I doubt I will bother with ng plus since knightnare difficulty will be a major pain and ng plus is required for the plat.

Fun game still. Good free rental! And we get to talk about a new release when all the cool kids are too!

Wait a minute. Tyler plat that riptide game in less than a day?

So was it fun ? Don't make me jump through circles!

PS3 version of Don't Starve Giant Edition is showing up as free, likely because I got it through Plus on the PS4. Vita version was also showing as free, though I swear I already bought it.

They were more varied anyway, the Madness Returns weapons are probably more efficient at killing but are rather bland. The early weapons in Alice 1 suck ass. I tried using the cards but they just burn through mana so fast and don't do that much damage. The knife is your last resort weapon, the melee is pretty weak but you can chuck it with secondary fire for good damage, but it won't come back to you for 5 seconds or so.

Things perk up in level 2 with the electric crochet mallet for fairly rapid, accurate secondary fire (it's like a revolver), alternate fire of jack in the box (rotates its head in a circle spitting fire in all directions) for crowd control. Then the ice wand is like a "flame" thrower of ice that's pretty mana efficient with a secondary fire to create a defensive barrier. The ball and jacks comes pretty late, but its secondary fire is great for ground based targets as it homes in and strikes them multiple times. You can rack up quite a bit of damage on single targets.

To assist with jumping, walk to the edge and then stand still for 2 seconds. A pair of rotating feet will appear on the ground. Pitch the camera up and the rotating feet will move further out, pitch the camera down and they will move closer to you. Jump from a standing position and you will jump to where the rotating feet were. Unfortunately the feet will only show up on stationary platforms and ground, if the object can move at all (floating leaf, flying book, etc.) it won't show up on it.

Man these PSN sales have been lackluster for awhile now. I did pick up that Riptide GP2 game. Seems like a cool game and <$10 is an easy impulse buy for me.
But...it's not on sale!

I'm curious why it's $7 on PS4 but $5 for XB1.

Edit: NM. It's $7 for XB1 as well. Odd because a couple reviews on Metacritic specifically called out it's $5 price as a big selling point and justification for the quality of the game. Not sure if it was a release sale or if they actually jacked the price up after release.

Looks like I'm the only one who thinks the Batmobile controls are just fine. I didn't have any problems beating Stotch's scores on the first two AR challenges involving it (other than the first Riddler race).

Are trophy notifications for Arkham Knight trophies turned off for anyone else? I thought it was weird that none had popped after a couple of hours, then when I checked I had already earned 5 of them.

Don't Starve was free on PS+, and the Giant Edition was a free upgrade, then the upgrade became cross-buy. It's a whole big free thing.

I tried using the dice but they just seemed clumsy. I'll experiment with the others a bit more.

The feet thing is a bit odd. I had discovered that, but you don't land exactly where the feet indicate which caused me to fall to my death once already when I tried using it for precision jumping.

My gotham's greatest leaderboard is busted currently, says it won't connect to psn. Of course, it connects to the menu to let me get the 40$ season pass just fine. Oh well.

The little bit of the game I've played so far is fun. Didn't know batman was a racing game tho lol.

Yay. It only took them 10 years to tell me that my car's passenger airbag is faulty and could kill my passenger in the event of a crash.

That flipper dude is weird. Cracking up that he thinks everything is about him.

I actually don't remember the Confusious flipping thing, but it's funny. I actually do like the guy tho.

Hmmm...it is kind of cool that the included DLC with the game comes with an extra trophy. I don't ever remember that happening before. I'll probably redeem the Harley Quinn and Scarecrow DLC that came with it now instead of just selling it for a buck.
