So how does that Gamestop TIV thing work? Just buy a $0.99 used game and I'll get a coupon for 50% bonus trade in value on my receipt?
Fun Fact:I'd rather watch the Filmation Ghostbusters series.
Just got an email that David Gilmore from Pink Floyd is playing The Hollywood Bowl on 3/24/16.
I've seen Roger Waters 5 times and one of them was the full Dark Side of the Moon album w/ Nick Mason on drums at the Hollywood Bowl. I'd love to catch a David Gilmore show.
Why would you care about seeing David Gilmore when you have already seen the guy that made Pink Floyd what they were 5 times?Just got an email that David Gilmore from Pink Floyd is playing The Hollywood Bowl on 3/24/16.

Yes, the current printout will give you a 50% coupon for the week of the 27th though. If you are looking for some this week you will need to hit up someone for a code. I had 4 total using my last one today otherwise I'd send it your way.So how does that Gamestop TIV thing work? Awesome dude..I saw Roger Waters at summerfest in 2007. With all the shows I go to, that may have been the best concert I've gone to.Just got an email that David Gilmore from Pink Floyd is playing The Hollywood Bowl on 3/24/16.

Because David Gilmore is the author of the best guitar solo in the history of guitar solos and he is equally as much Pink Floyd as Roger. Why would you care about seeing David Gilmore when you have already seen the guy that made Pink Floyd what they were 5 times?

You and your kids are so edgy. This is going to be controversial, but I watched some of Ghostbusters with my kids and... it wasn't really that funny. Certainly didn't live up to what I remembered it being like. They weren't impressed either, I think, as neither of them has requested to see the rest of it since. I'm sure I should go back and watch the whole thing, but I haven't felt motivated to do that.
Back to the Future, on the other, that was a hit with them and me again.
Oh I just assumed that Vig saw it somehow and that's how he's able to just imply the new team is going to be terrible. It was great. I saw it at a midnight showing when it came out next year.

No, he just hates women.Oh I just assumed that Vig saw it somehow and that's how he's able to just imply the new team is going to be terrible.
How far did you get into Ghostbusters? This is going to be controversial, but I watched some of Ghostbusters with my kids and... it wasn't really that funny. Fine, I won't say anything more about the new film until the first trailer is out.Oh I just assumed that Vig saw it somehow and that's how he's able to just imply the new team is going to be terrible.
The first Ghostbusters is definitely still great, and funny. The kids like it too. I haven't watched the 2nd one in years though. This is going to be controversial, but I watched some of Ghostbusters with my kids and... it wasn't really that funny. Not far enough, apparently. Actually I don't remember now. This was a while ago.How far did you get into Ghostbusters?
I would love to see hime play once since I'll never see a full Floyd reunion. The last Roger Waters show I saw was The Wall in its entirety. It was AMAZING!Why would you care about seeing David Gilmore when you have already seen the guy that made Pink Floyd what they were 5 times?

I give it a week.Fine, I won't say anything more about the new film until the first trailer is out.
Speaking of judging things early, I'm going to see Ant Man with some friends tonight. I'll let you know what I think based on watching it and then checking its rotten tomatoes scores.Oh I just assumed that Vig saw it somehow and that's how he's able to just imply the new team is going to be terrible.
I was with you until the and in that post.Because David Gilmore is the author of the best guitar solo in the history of guitar solos and he is equally as much Pink Floyd as Roger.
The show I saw he did Dark Side in entirety. Also sent out the flying pig, full of anti-bush propaganda...He's not even from America, but oh well.I would love to see hime play once since I'll never see a full Floyd reunion. The last Roger Waters show I saw was The Wall in its entirety. It was AMAZING!
Can someone post the instructions on how to put someone on ignore again?
I know Roger gets a lot of the credit and he wrote a lot of stuff, but Gilmore also wrote a good portion of stuff that people don't give him credit for. The Wall is my fave Floyd album, and it's obviously Roger's baby, but Gilmore still was a huge contributor to it, which you can hear when you listen to the songs from The Wall on their live Pulse CD.I was with you until the and in that post.
I get they're not for everybody. My musical tastes are obviously very brought because I love all the bands you just mentioned. It hit more of an emotional thing for me in high school since we played Comfortably Numb at a school concert right before I moved away at the end of my junior year. But learning that song I got into their other stuff and can zone out and enjoy it for what it is.I never got the love for Pink Floyd. Guess because I was more of drinker then a stoner. Friend of mine in HS loved them and she tried to get me into them. I liked Black Sabbath, Slayer, Metallica, and speed/thrash metal. Bring the hate.
I admit I am probably trivializing Gilmore's part of Pink Floyd overall. Your second paragraph is mainly why I feel that way though. The Floyd stuff without Water's influence is just such a different animal. If you listen to Water's solo stuff (particularly The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking) it still has that Floyd feel (to me at least).I know Roger gets a lot of the credit and he wrote a lot of stuff, but Gilmore also wrote a good portion of stuff that people don't give him credit for. And I know the two Floyd albums (well three I guess now with that demo tapes one from last year) are mostly in the Adult Oriented Soft Rock drawer, but I still dig the tunes. Some good music and good guitar work and good lyrics.
Roger was a big part of Floyd, but so was David. It's not really truly Floyd without either one. But since Gilmore had 3/4 of the band when Roger left, I consider it close enough for rock n roll.
If you could see only 1 of them I suppose Gimore is the one everyone wants to say they saw. As far as songwriting, Roger Waters hands down. When I was younger I liked but never really loved Pink Floyd, and as I got older I realized it was because I didn't care for Gimore that much.I admit I am probably trivializing Gilmore's part of Pink Floyd overall. I am definitely in the minority, but I would put Syd Barrett's descent into mental illness as a larger part of what made Floyd what they were than Gilmore just because it drove a lot of the context of their music.
Yeah that would be awesome if you're not going to use it!I have an extra code, though I won't have access to it until I get home.
Cool. I'll send you a PM when I can read off the code--expect it around 4:30-ish (EST).Yeah that would be awesome if you're not going to use it!
I was not a drinker or a stoner when I fell in love with Pink Floyd. Even as old as I am, Pink Floyd was really before my time, but the produce guy at the grocery store I worked at played their stuff all the time in the stock room of the store. It just started clicking with me and I have been a huge fan ever since.I never got the love for Pink Floyd. Guess because I was more of drinker then a stoner. Please let me know what reddit thinks with an appropriate gif.Speaking of judging things early, I'm going to see Ant Man with some friends tonight. I'll let you know what I think based on watching it and then checking its rotten tomatoes scores.
I've never been stoned for a Wall viewing either! I went to see it once at midnight at a theater in downtown Green Bay. A theater that served beer to you in your seat and let you smoke in the theater. It's normally where I went to Rocky Horror midnight shows. Anyway I probably got a contact high during that shit, but I don't remember really feeling anything weird.I was not a drinker or a stoner when I fell in love with Pink Floyd. Maybe I am the only person who has watched The Wall 20 times or more without being stoned for a single viewing.
Oh Shit! Oh Shit! Oh Shit! Oh Shit! Ay Blood Ay Blood Oh Shit! Oh Shit!Maybe I am the only person who has watched The Wall 20 times or more without being stoned for a single viewing.
