TrueAchievements came around when no other site was really like it for Xbox. Before TA you had to post on forums to try to get games together, but TA made it really easy, and feedback made it easy to ignore assholes. By the time TrueTrophies rolled around, alot of Playstation gamers I think were content with PSNProfiles.

TA also had that novel "True Gamerscore" concept that translates much better for gamerscore than trophies, IMO.

I love TT. I thought when it launched it had the potential to be huge. But it's still run by a bunch of Xbox people, and they didn't really understand Playstation stuff for too long and I think it hurt their ability to make a big splash at launch.

I also noticed that a lot of my Playstation friends didn't want to support TT at launch because "it's that Xbox site." fucking cheerleaders.

Plus there's probably some of the Facebook phenomenon with TA, where you're only on it because everyone else is. Everyone's on TA.

I didn't play much of the first one but by all accounts it's a better experience. it's been pretty funny since I broke my mic whenever we played rocket league so I just listen to top's semi-inebriated running commentary about the puzzles. I also spent an entire morning thinking my mic was working and he was just ignoring me.

But ultimately it plays ok, and I've definitely played much worse. It's definitely not something to struggle through solo.

I don't know. I don't even think that game is for all fans of kart racers. I really didn't like the physics at all, that's the big reason I haven't gotten it yet even though I'm a big fan.

Hope you enjoy Lost Dimension man. It's a great game. I actually got it on my queue from Gamefly for the ps3 version so I could play it again.

Rules

1. you have to be on my friends list so I can see your scores

2. tourney runs each week from Monday morning until Sunday around 6PM-ish CDT for three weeks (ends on 8/30)

3. new this time around - 2 tables per week. I'll try to pick similar scoring tables but no promises. I'm also picking the ones I don't have standard goals trophies done yet. I'm going to start by just adding the two scores together, but maybe the rng multiplier will get thrown in the mix.

4. bitching about chewy and taunting co-participants is encouraged and required

5. You need to have seasons 1 and 2 available to you, buy em if you haven't yet dummy

6. console doesn't matter as long as it's made by Sony (I don't think I can see your scores from your ipad conveniently).

- CENTAUR (possibly the ugliest pinball table I've ever seen)

Was able to snag a card from that guy so I'm going to go ahead and pick up Danganronpa 2. Also looked up a few other games. Mega Man 8 is supposedly one of the motr uneven with a snowboarder level that appears to harken back to the days of the Battletoad turbo tunnel, but it won't be on PS4 collection, is the English version, and is barely $2, so bought. Then Strider 2 is also quite cheap and offers the first game as an unlockable.

Thanks for picking Centaur Mild. Came in with none of the Wizard goals done, but knocked out all five in my first full game. Silver trophy get!

A lot of you probably would have enjoyed The Executioner the most out of all the DLC for The Evil Within--pure arcade-style FPS melee combat, somewhat reminiscent of Condemned.

 
Didn't dig Element4l quite as much as Gator, but it was still a pretty good time. Definitely a lot of momentum based stuff which isn't always my favorite. But it still controls really well. I'd say $4 is a good price for it.

 
Pinball Arcade is definitely fun and addictive. I probably never would have tried it if not for this thread.

I cut my teeth on the Arabian Nights table tonight to get a feel for the game. I'll jump on the two tournament tables next. I haven't played pinball in ages, but the game does a good job of recreating how I remember a pinball table to be.

Trying to decide on Danganronpa. Has anybody played it that DIDN'T like it?

If I liked 999, does that mean I will automatically like it, or are they not compareable beyond the walls of text?

Maybe a simpler question, did anyone that liked 999 and VLR, play Danganronpa and not like it?

re binding of isaac rebirth. I would have had beat the chest without taking any damage but I put my controller down and came back and my 1 y/o was walking around the dungeon. I had a perfect tanuki/ecoli/supermeatboy/ghost combo where i could win afk. The only negative was if a baby took over. oh wells. I still played a bunch of roguelikes today like tower of guns, isaac, etc and had a bunch of randomized fun.

also yesterday was awesome for gtav pacific standard day. i didn't mess with any of the past month of double rp/$ but yesterday my buds and I played the whole heist 3x. They did it 6x. I ended up making about 2.2 million from just 3 setups/heists and he made like 4 million. (host taking 1 mill during final heist, none for setups) it was a great day and i finally got a savage and insurgent and lectro

 
Started Uncharted: Golden Abyss. It really stands well up to the PS3 titles, I think. I'm liking the touchscreen mechanics for climbing and the picture and rubbing stuff, which I'm surprised by. Playing it does make me understand how somebody who bought Vita on launch would be unsatisfied with the game library, though--stuff like this, AC:L, and Gravity Rush on launch would really provide a much different impression of where the system is going compared to where it is now.

I got jenkins finally on BL2 ps4 last night, just have to grind some rocket launcher stuff and get the zero specific trophy then the plat shall be mine.

I'd never heard of Wellcome Trust, but here's a quote from their wiki:

Just let me know when you are ready to play the Sir Hammerlock's DLC. Last 3 trophies I need for PS4 100%. I will play Tiny Tina with you too when ready to do that. I knocked out all the trophies for that already but haven't played the story straight though on PS4 (did lots of it with randoms in bits and pieces).

You should have also gotten the trophy for reviving a friend on PS3 when we beat Terramorphious you revived me once during that.

Zero is mad easy to get the 10 seconds. I started a Zero on PS4 and I think with in an hour or so I had the trophy. You want low level enemies you can kill with a single melee hit. Like the bullymongs near the start.

So fucking humid but so fucking awesome. Bring your kids to a pro practice if you can. GB does it so well. Got seats in the bleachers for most of it. A great view for the two-minute drill with the third stringers to close practice.

Thanks for the tip on that. I haven't gotten it yet, was just hoping I'd either glitch it or get it naturally. But I don't use the specials enough for that to have happened yet, I'll probably try for it tonight.

 
What Drone/Super combo did y'all use for the Topaz boss?  I was using Sniper/Homing this morning and think I got pretty far before a dumb mistake killed my idiot ass.  Don't have enough stars for the Turret or whateverfuck that awesome one is called.

Attack/Turret. Homing is a good second choice for the Super.
