I made fun of some people whining in Frisky's Wii U eShop thread that Pandora's Tower and Kirby Return to Dreamland debuted at their regular shop price of 19.99 instead of 9.99 like a few of the Wii games did when Nintendo first started putting Wii games on the eShop.  Where are you going to find those games for less than that?  The only time I saw Kirby for 19.99 or less was when Blockbuster was selling used copies for that price coupled with a discount.  And Pandora's Tower is OOP now so used copies are going for at least $20 now.

I prefer to whine about how theres no word that the eshop version fixed the bug that can permanently halt your progression.

I love how the announcer has to stress the spelling after saying it. T-i-d-d-y, then comfortably resumes saying Titty Bear every 3 seconds. Soft and cushy Titty Bear.

Watching that infomercial video made me laugh when I heard Gilbert Gottfried doing the ShoeDini commercial. I remember listening to Howard Stern and he was laughing at how horrible the item was and how desperate Gilbert was for work.

It would be interesting to know if the voting was open to anyone with PS+ (not just those who log in to the store with a PS4) if it would have changed the vote distribution any or if it would have just made it even more of a blow out for Grow Home.

Also downloaded that Fallout Shelter app (it's available now for Android BTW), it is decently fun. 12 Dwellers trickle in at the start and then they basically stop so the only way to increase your population to 20 (so you can build a radio station to attract more adult survivors) is through "bum chicka bow bow" among your dwellers. Then it's 8 hours until they give birth and another 8 hours before they stop being useless children and become productive workers. Consumption of resources stop when you close the app, but time continues. So you're ahead to log off for 8 hours, login so they are born, then log off for another 8 hours until they grow up.

How you assign people to rooms is kinda going as you have to click and drag them. If raiders break into your vault you have to click and drag them to the room to engage, but eventually they'll run into a different room and annoyingly your defender does not follow. You have to manually select them again and tell them to move into the next room to continue defending. I had to click drag chase them through 4 rooms before I finally killed them all.

Yes, it was pretty meh, though quite challenging on hard and mostly not for cheap reasons. The sequel is shorter and also has more references and jokes making for a more amusing playthrough. They really needed to up the funny in the original game as most of time you were just playing a mediocre shooter. It was a $1 though so I can't complain too much. If they ever come on sale again I would recommend the sequel, but not Eat Lead.

The bugs are pretty horrible. I have noticed if I am host it fixes like 80% of them tho. but playing in other people's games is like 50/50 that they will end up with glitches/lag/disconnected from host, game shutting down errors. I have only had the game 2-3 days, but iv learned if I want to get a good payday/trophy I have to host it myself. I have done 45 minutes in a heist, only to be disconnected in the last minute. I had 10 bags of loot on the diamond level, just had to wait for helicopter to come back and pick us up and then error so no trophy. but iv noticed hosting fixes it all mostly. This game sucks with randoms/solo/ai tho. It shows how a mediocre game can be great when you play with your buds

 
Is anybody else having problems with their PS4 seeming to lock up while asleep? I have to pull the cord and then plug back in and power up, and it scans the drive and this time at least it rebuilt the database. And I still can't get downloads started from the web, plus the download list is missing from the store on the PS4.
 
The bugs shouldn't turn you off tho, it's really addictive once you start getting into it. Iv skipped working the last few days just so I could do one more heist/level up/another trophy. It's funny too cuz I have payday 1 and 2 on ps3 just never got around to playing them

That doesn't sound good. no problems on this end. Hope it figures itself out. I had a problem with unrecognized disc the other day, but that's cuz it was a filthy gamefly game and i forgot to clean it first. also funny gamefly, i tried to cancel today and they gave me a free month. like a damn pusher

Nope! Sounds like you've got problems. You could try just deactivating/reactivating and/or deleting the local user and recreating (backup your saves) - maybe it locks up in sleep mode because it's trying to check your psn account and it's getting an error they aren't handling.
 
also it's crazy i went from Hotline Miami to Payday 2. This game has a whole heist/masks/references to Hotline Miami. Too cool and who woulda known

Yeah happened the other day. Had a weird pulsating white light and wouldn't boot up. I think it's happened like twice in 2 weeks.

Yeah I am a sucker for co op play. Been playing Borderlands 2 though with Kilik and some randoms. I think it might be favorite game. That and the Gears of War series. I like being able to pick up and play co-op games whenever. Certainly better with friends though.

But if its is too buggy I will get annoyed with it I am sure. I loved Uncharted 2 co-op for example. But if the host left the game ended. Which seemed to happen a lot. Got tired of that after a month or so and traded it away. Same thing happens in Borderlands 2 but doesn't seem as frequent or maybe most missions are short or something. Doesn't bother me nearly as much as it did back when playing UC2 co-op.

I think it happened once to my original PS4. Hasn't happened at all to my second one. My stupid PS3 thinks it is doing an update every time I turn it on. Not sure what that is about but works fine otherwise. I don't want to reset it though. Too many games to re download. I don't leave it plugged in when I am not using it lately though. I don't use it a lot and have limited room/outlets/hdmi ports were it is now so I just move the cables over from the PS4. Wonder if this is the problem. Hopefully move everything downstairs in the next 6 months or so and will be able to leave it connected all the time.

 
Was wrong about the downloads from the web. I guess Supersonic Fury isn't a normal download. Looks like it's just recorded in my purchase history and that's all you need. I was able to queue up a normal game via the web.

But the Download List is missing from the store on the PS4. Weird. It also, after the rebuild, added a bunch of game update downloads. Stuff like Rollers of the Realm. I have a feeling that had something to do with the database rebuild.

How did you like the game overall? I watched a bit of your past broadcast but not really into watching the whole thing.

I noticed you mentioned that you can buy and sell at will with no cost to you. I find that pretty dumb that there are no consequences. One of the best parts about TD games is doing the best you can with the limited amount of money you have. I'm glad that it is freeform in tower placements instead of the predetermined spots, final horizon being the worst of them. Still I'll definitely pick it up on the next sale.

There really aren't any bugs. The issue is that the community for the game consists of 95% assholes. They think they somehow get more money or XP if they end the mission by themselves after others helped them do all the work. In fact, you get crew alive bonus at the end if everyone is still around from what I can tell. Still many of them kick players at the very end.

I think I have gotten disconnected once in all the heists I have done. I have done 122 different heists. Many of those I have done multiple times. I was always playing with friends though.

If you have some friends to play with, get it. If you are going to give it a go with randoms, be prepared for frustration unless you host the game. Even then, until you are a high level most probably will leave the game as soon as they see your level unless they are lower.

Cool. I will have to see if/when this goes on sale who might want to play it with me then. If not one I will probably pass. I would be annoyed playing with randoms I think.

 
To add on to that Jimbo, randoms can be fun to play with but you just have to be lucky.  I once played with a group for 3-4 hours straight doing heists and it was fun but I had to go through 4-5 shitty missions with other players until I finally joined them.

Yeah ok like most games. I played BL2 last night till from 11:30pm-2:30am with 2 randoms. The 4th spot seemed to be a revolving door. I was a few levels higher then them but we were fairly even. Anyway we played through one of the DLCs. They were reviving me when I went down and sharing loot and stuff. Everyone but the host left at the end of the DLC. I was too tired to play the next DLC with him (I think he hadn't played them before).

I did go out of the game to get an item I wanted to dupe for him. Rejoined his game dropped the item which would help him with a side mission in that DLC. Remembered another item but by the time I went to go back into his game he seemed to be gone.

Too bad the community isn't a bit better. While there are some aholes playing BL2 on PS4 most seems to be decent. Another game a guy 14+ levels higher then me was in our game. He was dropping higher level stuff for us to pick up.

My PS4 doesn't like to download for long when in rest mode. Maybe 2 hours at most?  I'm better off leaving the console on to guarantee a complete download of a game.

I would be down sometime. I need some variety from the primary leveling heists. I'm almost at max exp penalty for Hoxton even after I've been doing like 3 missions in between each run lately. Haha.

There are definitely some bugs and errors with connectivity. I've experienced the same things Velo has on numerous occasions. Its not simply being kicked, the whole game crashes to the dashboard and asks to send a report in. Its even happened when only playing with one friend and two AI. He's right in that hosting seems to alleviate the problem completley, but only for the host. The friends still are the mercy of the game.
