Trophy dumbassery ahoy

So I decided to just use the magic of turbo controllers to grind out the xp for the level 100 trophy in injustice on ps3. I've seen estimates of how long it takes but it's hard to believe so I wanted to experiment.

Long story short I basically started as a level 20 on Friday morning. I let it do constant online matches. By saturday afternoon it hit 68 so I switched to just doing the local vs method (recommended in the trophy guide) and did the trick where you basically hit r1 until you want to puke. When I checked 9 hours later it was around level 81. Based on how much is left is expect it to be done some time tomorrow.

So, doing the most 'effective' method, you would probably have to hit r1 constantly for about 40-45 hours. Playing legit would easily take 2-3x as long.

Inexplicably the thing that would stop people from getting the plat isn't this trophy but the actual in game trophies (battle mode mainly) which are really tough. The challenges are a pain in the ass to three star also and there's 100s of those and you usually have to play each one multiple times to three star it.

Probably the worst fighting game plat on earth.
Isn't the PS3 version way easier than the PS4 since you don't have to patch it until you do the online or something?

Why would you have to patch the PS4 version and not the PS3?
Because the PS4 game came out way after the PS3 version was patched and those patches are included on disc. I assume even the ultimate edition on PS3 has the patches as well.

Ouch on that +4 on the first.

Edit: That looked like my short game back in the day.

I didn't know there was an easier iteration of the game. The battle mode level where you have to clear the entire cast on one life bar seems to be the show stopper for most - was that easier pre-patch? Like maybe something where you could lay a tv remote down on the turbo X button and beat it? Because that's what I'm looking for.

Is there any consistent way to hit the right hand blue targets in firepower? This 50k goal is my last one and I can only seem to get them down 2 times instead of (I assume) the required 3.

I already preordered this when it was $30... does anyone know if I need to cancel and reorder it or will it adjust on it's own?

I would cancel/reorder it just to be safe but the original order was made with rewards and that always complicates things.

Dumb. I thought Best Buy auto adjusts prices when pre-order prices go down like Amazon.
GODDAMMIT

So I have to cancel and waste $3 to save $10? Why you gotta complicate things BBY???

I've pretty much peaked in Ranked unless I learn how to do aerial stuff. And its weird but nobody fucking plays goalie. It's so stupid because at least 2 goals per game could have been stopped if someone would just fucking stay back.
I haven't experienced this... you must have some unlucky matchmaking. Ranked always seems to have pretty good defense for me.

No those blue targets are a bitch and a half plus three. I can maybe hit the top two on purpose 25% of the time, but the bottom one is always via lucky bounce.

Thanks for answering for me PlayStation Twitter account!

ok fuck you can for not letting me embed another tweet. Anyway it comes with four bonus games, including 16-but Star Wars. That shit better come to PSN for Vita.

That's a lot of buts.

Pretty cool that they are re-releasing them with updated graphics and trophy support. I might get one as a backup PS4.

Trophy streak is finally dead thanks to, of all things, a mobile game.

Don't judge me... it may be so-so, but it's the first new Fallout content in years.
You screw up your first vault too? I populated and built out too fast so I never had enough power. Whenever a section of the vault runs out of power, when it comes back on it resets the production of the room to the beginning. So I fell behind on production of water and food which led to significant radiation poisoning of the residents. There are items you can produce to fix radiation but they come so slow (like an hour or so) and if you run out of power at any time in that section then it restarts the timer from the beginning.

When you demo unneeded rooms you only get around 5% back so I didn't have enough caps to fix it. I ended up rushing productions on every room over and over until they all failed and flooded the vault with radioactive cockroaches and fire. Then started over.

Yeah, I had the 50k lit and fire done and all I had left was that stupid bottom blue. Lost two fresh balls trying to get that lucky bounce. Pffft.

Says if the price drops, so will your preorder.

Well, I'm happy to announce to everyone that Steve and Janet are expecting! They've only known each other for about 10 minutes but I guess they like to fuck strangers. Janet is a such a trooper raising a kid in the wasteland like she is. Alice, on the other hand, started complaining about her aching feet after just 2 minutes of exploring the wasteland for supplies, but now her fingernails are starting to fall off from the radiation poisoning everyone's picked up from the low water supply.

Bet you wish you looked a little harder for some supplies now, don't cha bitch??? Now Janet's baby is gonna be a freak!

Do they usually have these sorts of things fixed by Monday? 40% off (cagmath) with redcard, cartwheel and preorder is a bit too good to ignore.
Do the individual discounts all go against the base, or is it a series of diminishing returns as each additional discount is applied to the smaller balance?

For some reason I was thinking Uncharted Collection was on the BB list for $10 rewards. Doesn't seem to be, though. So that might be a good thing to snatch up with this deal.

I never got to play super star wars.

Double Holy shit!

And I am not a collector but that star wars ps4 is calling my name. Damn. Love me some Darth.

Diminishing returns. So 25% for preordering something first. Then 10% off the new price with Cartwheel. Then if RedCard is used, that 5% comes off that new lower price.

So it's really 36% off then, or 32.5% without the Red card. A new game @ $60 would end up either $38.50 or $40.50 before tax. Not a bad idea for games BB isn't giving $10 rewards for.

Oh, and guardian, make sure you have every room equipped for infestations... I just had a bunch of molerats wipe out half my population literally 10 minutes before my supplies guy arrived with a shit ton of weapons.

Balls.

But you're not getting the 25% discount on whatever you preorder--you get the discount on the PS4/XB1 game you get *with* the preorder card.

I was at Target with the wife for some other things and I couldn't resist using the 25% off, Cartwheel, and Redcard to walk out with Toy Soldiers PS4 for just over $20.

Oh, is that that again? Gotcha. Should be some fun PM shenanigans, then, though obviously it's not as good as the ridiculous $15 off or whatever they did last time.

Heavensward is $30 at Amazon. PM would drop it to $21.25 or $20.20 with Red. That's including the $1 for the preorder. Sleeping Dogs is $21.48 and would be $15.50 or $14.75. Not seeing much else that might interest anybody. I wasn't looking for flip deals, though, just decent deals on games. Target doesn't seem to have much of a PS4 selection from what their website shows.

Though could you imagine if they took the 32.5%/36% off the Target price instead of the PM price? That would be amazing.

I already used my free month on PS3, and you don't get another one when you register the PS4 version. So as far as I can tell, the base game limits you to one free month per user. I don't really want to get Heavensward, but $20 is barely above the cost of another month so if it came with one and all those discounts worked, I'd consider it.

Ya, I got power armor from a lunch box unlocked via the goal system so I was able to send someone much further into the wasteland than in my last vault and he is bringing in 10 weapons and 1200 caps. Since no calamities can befall you while you are logged off (but children grow up and exploring continues), I've just been checking on the status of my explorer periodically and then logging back off. One of the guys I got from a lunch box had ridiculously high stats in everything but endurance with a Ninja outfit. That makes him horrible for wastelanding but he can pretty much single-handedly keep a 3 wide diner running to feed the rest of the population.

If your wastelander has close to 10 endurance you don't need to send any radaways with him as mine took like 3% rad damage in 9.5 hours at 9 endurance, though stim packs are always a good idea so they can stay out longer. They take them whenever they get to about 45% HP.

And it's still approximately 5 times more common than NBA 2k14, even with a few people hacking trophies that are no longer possible to achieve legitimately.

I've got the Super Star Wars games on Wii. They're balls hard.
I always hear people say that now, but I don't remember them being harder than any other games of the era. I played and best them all on the SNES and loved every minute of it. If they're all coming to PSN with trophy support I am way on board. But it better not be PS4 only shit. At least for the 16-bit games. Those would be perfect for Vita.
