well sweet, I didn't think it'd be so easy to get people to play binary domain.  maybe a week from today so people that want to relearn how to play can beforehand.  I threw it in the boosting spreadsheet too.

I'll have to see if that works for me. I really want to finish up Peace Walker (probably won't plat because of the online and stressful missions to S-rank) and Ground Zeroes before MGS V releases in two weeks, plus I have Until Dawn to pick up from Gamestop next Tuesday which I was hoping would be a quick plat-and-trade-in kind of game.

That was quick. I just played through Difficult to open up and I beat level 4. But now I need to do Legendary to open level 5. Shit is about to get real.
honestly I'm not sure what the difference is between Normal and Legendary. I mean I'm sure there is one but it seems like the enemies and bosses have the same bullet patterns and it doesn't feel obviously like there's less of them. I haven't tried anything higher than Legendary because I'm chicken. I discovered this morning that you can trade your combo state for a temporary shield if you refill your gauge and hit the vaunt button again. It makes bosses much more sensible. I don't know how you're supposed to work up a 500k point combo. I like it! I'll stop blabbing about it though.

Is binary domain fun? I've got the disc in my backlog so I shouldn't have much to dl. I'd be down to play.
Does this answer your question?

One of your squadmates can be a French-speaking robot. In other words OF COURSE IT IS. Also, Big Bo:

it's a poorly animated third person shooter with a funny/cheesy plot and (unintentionally?) hilarious characters and some sweet ass robots that you can blow individual limbs off of. there's also a strange affection system like a diva game that is influenced by you pulling off sweet feats (+affection) or shooting your teammates (-affection) and a voice activated team mechanic because mid-2000s. I loved it, but I'm not sure it's actually a 'good' game. It is definitely fun if you're willing to overlook some of the enemy sameness and weird mechanics and embrace the story and overall goofiness.

Gaining that damn frenchies maximum trust was impossible for me. He's talking while I am trying to survive and I guess I misunderstood him and did something wrong.

soooo.... psnot binary domain co-op night before the end of the year?
I would be down for trying that (competitive multiplayer is like max 10, but Co-op is max 4), though you unlock nanos (equipable stat and ability upgrades) in multiplayer so those who haven't ground out any of the competitive multiplayer trophies will be at a disadvantage. Nanos unlocked in the campaign are only used in the campaign so you don't have to play singleplayer first, though you may be at a loss at the controls or how best to kill certain robots.

It still might not be that easy. In a week they will have forgotten that they wanted to play it. Anyone remember Singularity?

So no, you won't have time.

There are a couple quick trophies we can get too. I wont be playing to level 50 but winning a match or two sounds doable. Maybe even without boosting? Ha, probably not.
First Victory and Battlemaster are pretty easy to boost. Win one competitive multiplayer game of any type, win 1 game of all seven multiplayer types. The most time consuming of those is the free for all (pure DM), as each person has to win a game, and games last 10 minutes. All the rest of the modes are team based so half + 1 players can win every game.

One wrinkle is they have to be public matches in order for trophies to count (in coop & competitive multiplayer), though that is not as much of an issue since players in game can vote people out and the online is quite dead. The other wrinkle is though coop has a max of 4, competitive requires a minimum of 6 to start the game.

The single victory might be doable on your own as there are Japanese players that still play Team Deathmatch occasionally. But you definitely won't get FFA on your own as EVERYONE who plays that is boosting and will kick you immediately.

Yet another Texas Hold'em is the only type of poker game game.
I think we had this discussion already, but this is fine with me. I'm only really interested in playing Hold' Em and I'd rather the online community not be fragmented across a bunch of different game modes. The $20 price point is still a little irksome. From what I can tell in gameplay videos it doesn't look like it offers significantly more content than Pure Pool, which launched for half that price, I think. Still buying.

I like the idea of shooting limbs off of robots. I think I may already have it downloaded, but it's possible I deleted it to make space for something else. For shame if so?

The new game by the people behind Thomas Was Alone will be out today. Volume:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rx6MioeyZg8&feature=youtu.be

Includes a level editor which is the level editor that was used to create the game. So that's cool. Some of you won't like it, though, as it's a stealth action game.
Had no idea this was coming to PS4 simultaneously with the PC launch. Pretty awesome! I don't think it was on the Blogcast as coming for this week...

Flame Over PS4 should be coming sooner rather than later.

I asked about trophies and they said it's a separate list from the Vita version.

I thought it was that pigeon dating game? Are you sure its not.
No, it's from that scene where R2-D2 rides a goat to save Han Solo and Luke from Greedo because as we all know R2-D2 is the greatest character in the history of Star Wars. The way he rudely beeps at people is so funny and endearing!

Xeodrifter coming Sept 1st.

Seems like great PS+ fodder as one of our Vita games, as it's cross-buy on PS4/Vita, not very expensive or long, trophies have been known for while (meaning it probably passed certification for a while and is just waiting for release) and is a port from another console.

I hope it's free, that would be sweet.

I've had this one on the radar for a while, it'd be awesome if it were free.

Would they have mentioned the $9.99 price if it was going to be free? I can't remember if a similar game announced a release date and price then went free via Plus at release.

It hasn't gotten the best reviews, but Nicalis getting more games on PS4/Vita is better, even if they take fucking ages. Nightsky looks like it could be cool too.

Going for the full multiplayer trophy smorgasbord is not for the feint of heart. I think it is a shame you don't get credit for weapon kills in horde mode, only in competitive multiplayer. Naturally I made a sheet for that.

yeah, no do want on the binary domain online trophy disaster.  I just want to play the damn thing.  there's this entire part of this game I really like that I've never been able to try!

Never really subscribed to that logic. We all knew Rocket League was going to be $20 long before it was announced free for Plus.
