PSNOT 2.0 - I kind of want to subscribe to IndieBox.

This is a pretty flamebait article, some guy at MS saying Xbox One can do things the competition can't.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-one-exec-were-doing-things-that-cant-be-done-/1100-6429839/

Obviously there are some things that Xbox One does that are unique to the console, but two of the ones he points out are cross-play with PC (which PS4 does with Rocket League and FF14) and says "We've got a lot more exclusive games than any other platform" which is also pretty incorrect when you think about how much Japanese stuff PS4 has and how much indie stuff PC has.

Some pretty dumb comments IMO.

That Grinsia trophy list looks like another example of a huge game with a crappy gimped tiny game list instead of a nice long plat list.  fuck that.

(Game looks cool though and I wanna play it)

...I probably should have posted that link yesterday, then. I didn't realize that was a Nicalis game.
I didn't either, mainly because Kemco did the mobile port. Kemco publishes a lot of garbage jRPGs on Android/Mobile and Grinsia has the same look about it.

I'm disappointed the Zenonia games never got ported over aside from a buggy PSP version of the first one. Zenonia is one of the few mobile games I've been interested in but it's crippled by touchscreen controls. A Vita collection of the 5 titles would be great.

Look me up if you want to try to take the coop mode for a spin (sadly the campaign is single player only). I've always wanted to give it a shot.
Gonna try to wrap up some of the other games I've been playing first... might get to it by the end of the month.

Shitty disconnects aside, that co-op actually sounds fun to me.
Alright, let's do this! All you other chumps quit crying about shit and jump on board the Binary Domain Train (yes, I'm capitalizing it because it's a thing now)

choo choo!

soooo.... psnot binary domain co-op night before the end of the year?
WHAT?????????

GET OFF MY TRAIN

Guess just the first two Parasite Eve games this week to complete the set of 3. Would of happily, finally picked up Xenogears if it was actually on sale. Maybe we should have #NoTrophyNovember so we can play some of these PS1 and PS2 classics most of us have stockpiled.

Glad you posted--I completely forgot I was going to grab those.

Speaking of PS1 games, I started playing Vagrant Story recently on Vita and it's not bad, but I got to some boss that crushes me every time and I don't think I care enough to go back to it, especially since it sends me back to a checkpoint that requires me to go through a bunch of rooms to get back to the boss fight again. Why'd they do that? I don't seem to be able to save anywhere, just at save points.

poor poor ps1 graphics, so sad. I really do wish square could do up a proper parasite eve now - the easy to use free roaming atb was pretty nice.

Edit - they almost certainly used the ffvii engine for this game, didn't they. I didn't realize how similar they looked during gameplay until now.

Oh man owl I don't want to look at that. I actually wasted my life and finished the multiplayer grind. I'd be down for some invasion though since I never completed one map.

It's a shame the PS1 emulator doesn't have the ability to render games at a higher resolution. That can help a lot. It can also have pretty hilariously inconsistent results between rendered and prerendered/pre-drawn bits:

Spelunky beaten in 101 seconds in a world record speed run. This is amazing. He's using the teleporter as a weapon to take out the angry shopkeepers at the end of the levels. He also teleports into the statue in the Ice Caves. Stuff I never knew was possible...so cool. I also just recently learned in Stage 2 if you throw the woman on those big red sticky balls it swallows her up and takes her to the end of the level. It's like the game that never stops giving.

I have issues even going back to play PS3 games with trophies at this point. No way in hell I am going back to PS1 or PS2 games.

Pancakes Mitsuru trophy card is best trophy card.
Are sure that's not for Pinball Arcade? The people in the card, while drawn in anime style, have a minuscule slight difference that only I can see. I think we need to have Pancakes confirm for sure with a hand written note and picture of himself playing the game with an up to the second timestamp to be sure.

Pro tip for anyone that downloaded the new 1.9 version of the ol' Cartwheel on their iOS devices:

When on the Badges screen, swipe like you're about to play some Contra...

Try going along for the ride.

I finished the first two on ps1 way back when. Actually, I don't remember finishing PE2. Think I got stuck at the end boss? Something about having to run down a tower to escape with a time limit??

Halfway tempted on picking up the last game The Third Day to finish everything out, but $9 is a little steep and I'd never get around to it.

My kids keep watching Monsters Inc over n over and it is invading my dreams. i keep singing that song in my head and it isn't even a real song

Seriously, how does Chewy play one game of pinball that long this many times?  It must take over an hour and maybe a whole lot more in one sitting to get to his scores right?

Once you start beating modes and progessing in the pinball game, the points come hot and heavy. I'd say a good 30 minutes was needed to get the 345m in Asshole's Champion's Pub.

How many points do you get for the ball not hitting a single target and falling between the flippers without being touched?

That takes real skill, man.

Apparently once you beat all the fighters you can wager points in the following fights up to nearly one hundred percent of your score. So getting to that point seems to be pretty key. Being able to turn 100m in to 200m in 30 seconds would help.

I just read how the last wizard goal works in champion pub. gtfo pinball arcade you're drunk.
