Now on the last chapter and it has gotten better. I don't remember the game being spoiled for me at any point but some of the case solutions are giving me a sense of deja vu so I don't know if it was spoiled for me at some point and I just don't consciously remember, or if another game or movie did something similar and so I could recognize the patterns in the mystery. So far I say the Zero Escape series is superior. The most challenging thing about Danganronpa is not solving each murder, but to figure out how the game wants me to articulate my point to debunk each argument. Sometimes I would know what is wrong, but I couldn't figure out how to present it.

If you can get it for a good price, I highly, highly suggest playing Danganronpa 2 as it surpassed the first in every way IMO.

 
One thing they could have improved was to speed up the progression of the social links system. Before each case you get 2 or 3 opportunities of "free time" in which you can roam around and talk to one student for each segment. They give little bits of their back story and when you grow close enough they start to give you skills which you can use at trial. The progression is so slow though that the game is almost over and I've only maxed out the connection (and thus heard all their back story) of one character. I also only got, I think, halfway through 2 other characters (of 15) and the game is almost over. Even when I give them gifts they like, often the conversation would end with "you've grown closer" and no other new information. Since you get such a finite amount of free time in the main game playthrough, I think every segment of free time should have been rewarded with character back story, instead of only about 40% of the time.

Each skill you learn from the other students has an associated skill point cost and those values added together cannot exceed a certain max skill point number so you should only be able to equip so many. Every time you hear a piece of back story that max number increases by 1. In practice, the unlocked skills came so slowly that I could equip every available skill without coming close to hitting the max.

I like it enough (and with the promise of improvements) that I already picked up 2 at the tale end of the sale, that's the main reason I bought 1 the first day of the sale and started playing it immediately.

Guessing Army of Two is only worth getting if you have a partner to beat the whole game with you. Put it in my cart for now, anyway.

Vig, did you see my question about online order return/rebuy to get around the BB B2G1 coupon only working in-store? Figure you're the most likely in here to know if that should work well or if it's a luck-based YMMV situation.

Yes, I am aware of that, but it would have been nice to know about the motivations and feelings of more characters in the course of play (at least 1/3rd) instead of after it is all over in what amounts to appendices.

Sorry man, I just didnt get around to it. If this shitty work day would ever end I could get in and do that. Ill do it tonight.

Yeah, my last letter is missing. I didnt want to add a number to my email. Turns out that was dumb since most people think I gave it to them wrong. fuck GMAIL for not having my full name available. I got in on the beta so I would have though I was going to be the first one. but nope.

I haven't done that myself, but it should work unless you get a difficult employee who won't try it after you explain what you're doing.

 
They're going to start production on Prometheus 2 next year. Assuming it releases 2017, that's a 5 year gap between the two. Ridley Scott has also said there'd be a movie set between Prometheus 2 and Alien. I doubt we'll be seeing Alien 5 any time soon.

 
Except it's already been confirmed and will be directed by Neill Blomkamp.  Prometheus 2 starts filming in January, then once that's done they're putting Alien5 into development. 

 
So Pancakes, I think you've gone Pitfall on us.  You're always playing the newest games and you're averaging like 700 TT score a day lately.  I think you should buy Zimm and Crazy PS4s.

it is couch co op if you have a partner to play it with. My girl and I played it and it was awesome co op.

My PS3 Blu Ray lens is acting up again. Tried tilting the system, using the disc cleaner, and vacuuming the vents and it still won't read my games.  

Searched online and found a place that fixes them. Went to them inside a "mall" (looks more like a service plaza) and the guy seemed pissed off and said I should buy a used PS3 at Gamestop instead of paying him to fix it for $110 which includes "the risk of losing your game saves". 

Screw that.

Went to the closest Gamestop for suggestions and he recommended a place inside the actual mall (ironically close to another Gamestop). Went to them and they said it would be $130 and it could be done in 20 minutes .... after ordering the part. They said no hard drive data would be lost.

I'm thinking of doing that or sending it to a place in my old neighborhood (via mail) for $100 or so with the same "hard drive data protection". No way am I going to buy a used system and risk it failing quickly.

Decisions, decisions.

Just replace it yourself. Costs $30-40 for the replacement lens. It's a bit of a pain to do, but if you're at all comfortable with taking things apart you should be fine.

Interesting. I read Wikipedia but it's all over the place for the Aliens 5 development. Lots of conflicting info just for this year. I do see the rumor you're talking about came out over this past weekend. We'll see.

 
Tried to start Champion Pub on the Vita and it says there's a table update. I hit continue and it goes to the store and shows table pack 15. But I can't download it. The problem seems to be that I have the season 2 pass and it's showing table pack 15. I had to manually search for the season 2 pro pass and download the whole thing. So I'm doing that, but what a mess.
