Is there any Gamestop trade promos happening at the moment or in the next week?
There are some boosted TIVs starting today and lasting through Sunday, but they aren't very good compared to last time. You can see the eligible games in a few (unsorted for some dumb reason) images in the OP of the GS TIV thread in the main forum: https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/338499-gamestop-trade-promos-xxvii-values-available-on-the-website-and-on-androidios-app-games-with-guaranteed-4030-and-more/

I know you guys don't like to venture there, but it's Friday and I'm too lazy to post the images here.

My library appears to have stalled in terms of getting new games--they still haven't stocked Legend of Kay Anniversary (one reason why I decided to just get a copy from Gamestop) or added anything new since Tearaway Unfolded at the beginning of the month.

  • Dishonored Definitive Edition is $20 upgrade price from PS3 PS+ game right?  This isn't some pre order only price correct?
I am semi interested in this but could wait for a sale.  But if it is going to go back up to $40 I might jump on it now.

Vig: That Risen 3 review was pretty amazing. I'll have to read a few more reviews of the PS3 version to see how much of that is there. I might just not play it after all that version is as bad.

We're East Coast now. They picked east for some reason when we finally got DST a few years back.
Edit: EVERYONE'D

Clearly I hadn't finished reading the thread yet. Anyway, put me down for Indy, not like everyone doesn't know already. How was the Pip stream? I had a sudden and unexpected road trip so I missed it. Was gonna pick up pip last night but I got curses n chaos instead because vita. For the road trip. That I forgot to bring my vita on. It was a long night.

Pip looks decent. Maybe as you go along it might get annoying to constantly have to switch forms. From watching the stream it seemed like the gameplay was pretty heavily gated in that respect; whether it feels that way playing I dunno. It may be that was just the bit of the game Tyler streamed and that other game sections are more open exploration/combat etc. rather than constantly being "Okay, now get big. Now turn into a box. Now turn small. Now go back to being a box."

Thoughts on that, Tyler?

Otherwise gameplay looked fun and the graphics work pretty well. They fucked up the trophy list, though.

how do you guys tell what new stuff your library has? I tried looking and could only find a search search. I usually just walk in and see what's there, but having reservations or knowing what they are gonna get would be awesome also. i tried to quit gamefly but they gave me a free month but after that im gonna quit this. it's been a busy 5 years

When my library adds new games, they have the system as part of the name until they actually stock it--Tearaway Unfolded is "Tearaway Unfolded ps4"--so I just search on "ps4".

I didn't realize how old he is until I realized he couldn't even do the couple of small kick poses at the beginning of the video. I guess being 63 justifies it.

yep, this. If your library uses bibliocommons (i.e. something.bibliocommons.com) it's pretty easy to search / hold stuff online.

Thanks for that GS boosted value list vig. Gonna finish up Lego Jurassic tonight and trade that, tales of hearts r, and hyrule warriors at least. I think I'm going to try witcher 3 one more time before I toss it.

With that TIV I'd break even on Daganronpa. Too bad I haven't started it yet. I can't imagine I could run all the way through before the values expire.

Finished main game, last chapter was great and pushed Danganronpa into the definitely recommend category. I just wish some of that mystery could have been spread out a little better as most of the other 5 cases don't hold any surprises once you've looked at all the evidence before the trial starts. On to post game.

The library might also have a binder available that lists their recent aquisitions.

Pip isn't too bad. Pretty standard fare when it comes to platformers. But it's a fun game.

The transforming between forms is definitely a huge part of the game and you're constantly doing it. I wish the devolving animation was a bit faster just because you do it so much.

FYI, N++ is going to go up to $30, so you should jump on that one now too.

So is Kung Fury Street Rage really worth $2 or is Vig over HHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYPPPPPPEEEEEE ing it?
It's not for everyone, but I thought the easy-to-play, hard-to-master gameplay combined with the "just one more run" mentality and old-school arcade-y goodness more than justified the price tag.

Pharm, you could also just wait for my video clip tonight if you want to see how crazy-frenetic Kung Fury gets.

Ill watch it but I am already buying it. Its $2. Thats a no brainer. Not sure why I even asked.

I already know I will probably never get the 200 combo though but thats fine.

You guys are simultaneously discouraging and encouraging me to start IA/VT once I get it in the mail.
No, the game is really fun. You should play it. Some cool music in it, though the autotuned stuff is a bit out of hand. Actually my oldest claims the vocals are computer generated outright in many Anime songs. Is that true?

Speaking of him, he wants to know if there are any good Anime rhythm games for PS3 or PS4? He tried IA/VT Colorful once he saw that it had anime stuff in it and now he wants a console game.

ok so what did I miss, why does crazy have a cartoon penis for an avatar now? did he fall asleep at a new year's eve party or something?
An anonomous person sent me an email with an attachment labeled PSNOT (Misty Fatality I believe). I was scared to open it, but did hours later, and boom, cartoon penis.

The two Project Diva games on PS3 are likely your best bet. The first one (arguably the better entry in terms of the song list) looks to be out-of-print since I can't find an Amazon listing for the English version and Gamestop charges a crazy $44.99 for a used copy, but the second one is more readily available at a lower $25-$30 price.

I am a bit surprised how many major metro areas aren't represented. Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami, San Francisco, and Detroit to name a few. Even New York City is a bit of a stretch for Jimbo. Nobody from Ohio is pretty shocking as well.
There is another GAG (and PSNot) that is from around here somewhere. I remember visiting my MIL (15 miles North of me) and reading on this thread another PSnot was in the area. Thought it was cool. Turned out he used to live around here but moved a decent distance away.

I used to work like 3 miles from the Bronx but now live just North of what is considered the Metro NYC area. I do still work in the Northern part of the NYC metro area.

Perhaps the map will fill out some more as more people ask to be added.

Too bad there isn't anyone in Cincinnati.  That looks like it would be the ideal spot for PSNOT Fest East.  Vegas wouldn't be bad for one out West.

If not for Pancakes and Mitch it would look like someone drew a diagonal line across the country across the country where no PSNOT members can live.  Remove Pete (and Owl if he was on there too) and it would be even more pronounced.
