i also found this while looking for that

Watching BSG with the wife. We're a few episodes into s2. I'd forgotten how littered with religious stuff the series is. The constant "So say we all," references to the gods, and the prophecy stuff really doesn't do much for the series IMO. I'm not at all religious, though, so maybe that's just a personal thing. Anybody enjoy that element of the show?

What the shit? I ordered that AoU steelbook when it was $30 and now best buy is telling me that shit is backordered.

EDIT: System error I guess.

Going back to ps3 batman arkham games after arkham knight is totally jarring. It feels like it was made for colecovision!

I made extreme hyperbole!

I was pretty surprised at how muddy everything looks and how awkward the animation feels. I am playing arkham origins though which maybe would explain it? I think this was my first time playing something on ps4 and then playing a ps3 equivalent after.

That is your problem right there. fuck Origins. But yeah going back to PS3 on many games which either have been remastered for PS4 or at least have newer games of the same series on PS4 it is pretty jarring.

Borderlands 2 is a great example. Fired it up on PS4 didn't think it looked THAT much better. Switched back for a bit to PS3 and it was pretty clear then. Plus how slow the menus are and general lag when too much going on on the screen.

Isn't the Vita Telltale engine crap, though? With both of those being on PS4 I can't imagine it'd be worth playing them on Vita instead.
TWAU wasn't all that bad on Vita. I didn't experience the significant-slowdown/lag-during-action-scenes reported by most people.

I just hated the "gods damn you" and the use of "frak". Fake swears in TV shows always annoy me.

Only time it has been acceptable:

It didn't bother me too much at first but now we're getting into the part of the story where people are making decisions based on prophecies and the majority of characters are going along with it as though "Oh, it's in the scriptures. Okay, let's do it!" is reasonable. Gaius was great fun in s1 because he's clearly a crazy dude so that was okay. Having everybody move that direction just feels like the show is changing into crazy town in space.

been a while since i got one of these. final playthrough was an absolute blast. every character stays in her transformed state for the whole playthrough. so, while the enemies got some pretty big buffs, i didn't feel like i was ridiculously underpowered. one of the rare games that ties in-game rewards to the trophies. most of it is useless(art gallery and costume stuff), but it's still something.

found this stuff too while updating my psnp card. haven't been on my page in so long

I hope none of you have had the displeasure of playing and/or platting Man vs Wild. What an annoying shitpile of a game that thing is.
I was one trophy away from the plat and i couldn't stand to play anymore.

also semi fail last night when chic came over to cam and i got caught up playing blops 3 beta and didn't join quick enough so she left. doh

I enjoyed Dishonored but probably because I didn't play it stealthy. If you don't mind not getting the plat I recommend it. The blink teleport thing was really cool, not at all annoying like it is in Destiny multiplayer when someone kills you using it.
I think I am going to pick it up then. Can't figure out if the $19.99 price is good after Tuesday or just a pre order sale price.

Not sure why, but Amazon is buying copies of Red Dead Redemption vanilla for $5.99. Just set up my trade, some of you others might want to get on that. BB buys them for $3 and GS less than that. Most eBay auctions are in the $2-3 range as well.

Thanks just saw this over in the deals forum. Will buy later today then.

Improved Champion Pub but still no ultimate challenge win nor cash fight win.

That Champion Pub table can go screw itself. I tried playing it some more today, and just kept getting frustrated. I caught lightning in a bottle on the T2 table, but obviously it wasn't anywhere near good enough to even push Crunchewy.

I'm surprised at you guys jumping in to buy Dishonored when there's no real incentive to pre-buy. Why buy immediately rather than giving yourself at least a few days to hear about any issues with the port?

Probably would have been wise. Not too worried about it though. I can wait till there is a patch (Assuming it isn't like Batman Origins).

Well, it could also end up like Arkham Knight, which was pulled from Steam a month ago and still has no indication of being replaced soon. Hopefully not, though.

I'm planning on playing the PS3 version next month for #stealthySeptember since I don't feel like shelling out $20 and I already have the full game+dlc on PC anyway. It's tempting, though.

I was going back and forth with picking up the GOTY edition for $4 and change on PS3 (BB clearance) and loading up the DLC. But figured for $20 I would rather play it on PS4. Load times with 360 were bad enough to make me stop playing it. With Batman Knight the sales for PC were pretty low (compared to PS4/XBone) so the publisher didn't care. Pretty shitty but it is what is. I would hope even as busted as Unity was on release they will get it close enough if there are bugs.

How are you liking Tales from the Borderlands, btw?
I think it is pretty well done and looks really good. Like I mentioned I kind of forgot a bit of the story since I played Episode 3. Played Chapter 1 and 2 of Episode 4 and am starting to pick it up. I need to push myself to play it instead of trying to level up two of my characters of BL2 though. Might try to play Chapter 3 tomorrow.

The characters are mostly unique to the game (not in BL1 or BL2 at least). A bit more action then many of the previous Telltale games like this.
