Due to me reviewing the game, I knew Teslagrad was planning a retail release.  I just assumed it had already happened and that it must not have done well if they were going the Plus route with the game being cross-buy.  I was wrong...

They have a retail release schedule for 9/15 of both PS3 and PS4 physical versions.  Are they purposefully trying to make it the worst selling physical release ever?  I just do not get it at all.

That might be a close second to the dumbest things I have ever seen a dev do behind the N++ pricing rant.

And I'll be streaming Shutshimi: Seriously Swole (for Wren: the goldfish game) for sure tonight and maybe something else after it.

I'd forgotten about the physical release. Yeah, that's pretty bizarre.

Plus games for Sept:

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/08/24/ps-plus-free-games-for-september-2015/

Grow Home (PS4)

Super Time Force Ultra (PS4)

XeoDrifter (PS4, Vita)

Twisted Metal (PS3)

Teslagrad (PS4, PS3)

LaMulana (Vita)
Wow, that was a quick face slap to those who bought La Mulana.

Are there any bonuses included in the physical version or will it just be the game card?

So what to do with two broken Vitas? One has a cracked screen and one got soaked in juice and won't turn on.

Will Gamestop or anyone take these for partial credit?
Since I think my post got lost in all the ps plus release discussion.

Probably just have the wife run to best buy today. I think I'll be in bed most of the day due to this fever.

Isn't that where some dude died a couple weeks ago?
Yup. I noticed they had an almost excessive amount of signs warning people about restricted zones on the fences, but it didn't look like it affected them much. Don't think I saw a single stand alone sign or anything.

Rides are fun, don't think I went on any coasters where I felt like any of my stuff was gonna fly away.

I can not answer that question. Also, I was checking Gamefly to see if it was still coming out. There is a possibility that changed and they did not update their list, but they are usually on top of that stuff.

Nice, looking at the end of the year, figuring out using up vacation time, and making travel plans, I'm seeing back to back 4 day weekends for Christmas and New Years.

Seriously, this is a great fucking list for old pants pixel-fanboy platformer gamer me.

And the two on the list I own (Teslagrad & LaMulana) we're review copies and finished so no slap there.

fuck the commenters.  September is gold.

Regarding STFU on Vita.....

There was a blog post about the game on July 13th of this year with the following comment reply from a CAPY dude:

+ Nathan Vella on July 13th, 2015 at 1:30 pm said:

Coming to VITA the same day as PS4, cross-buy. And yes, they are the same game.

Aside from the La-Mulana slap, the September lineup looks stellar...excluding Twisted Metal. I wish Armello had won the vote, but I'll still probably buy it to support the devs.

Yeah, guy died at Cedar Point recently. He lost his cell phone on their inverted coaster, then jumped the fence to retrieve it and WHAM. #Darwin

Only missions worse than tailing, protecting weak ass npc partners for a stupid amount of time. I was having a blast with db xenoverse until I hit a mission where I have to get 20 kos while protecting krillin(seriously?) and kid gohan.

It does seem like it's going to be a bit grindy to progress through the story. I do like how the story is new-ish, and not the same batlles I've had to play in the 67 other dbz games. Although it's looking like those missions are in the side mission section that you need to play for additional xp, equips, and skill unlocks.

I always wanted to go to Cedar Point.  Love roller coasters.  Need to travel the world just riding coasters everywhere.

Also, that dude that got killed wanted his cell phone back so bad because he knew he had some dirty pics of chicks other than his wife and thought it wouldnt be a good idea to leave it just in case the park found it and returned it to his wife.

I *love* roller coasters. Sadly we haven't made it to any parks this year and school started up today, but we are thinking of maybe a Saturday trip to Hershey Park before the season is over. My favorite park, though, is Knoebels. Such a classic. Problem is it's a multi-day trip. Too far away to day trip it.

Wonder if Game Stop has some special trade in promo on old junk today?  Went today at lunch to pick up 5 games I setup for store pick up.  Figured it would save me some time.

3 different groups trading in bags of games and old consoles.  All seemed to be kids getting ready to go to college.  None seemed to have an idea what was required or even what they would accept.

First group (two kids) at counter had a Wii without a working nunchuck.  All nunchucks they had were busted up junk.   Refurb fee.  Bunch of games.  Didn't notice how much they got.  Then a woman trading in a PSP, PS2 and games for both.  Except they don't take PS2 games.  Just console.  I think $12 or $14 for the PS2 (Slim).  Most of the game she had were PS2.  Woman online behind her said maybe donate to a shelter or something.

As I was walking in a mother and her son carrying in a ripped paper bag full of more old Nintendo junk.  Some of it spilled out on the parking lot.  Mother (in yoga pants but not really a MILF though maybe if your really drunk) decides to go back to the car to get a canvas bag to put all this crap in.

Luckily the cashier took me first.  Was in a rush and didn't notice one of the games should have been PS3 vs 360.  Traded for same value at BB but cost $2 more.  I knew the total was slightly high but left my paperwork at work.  Oh well wasn't going back in for $2.  Also grabbed a $20 PSN card.

Went over to BB and the trade went smoothly.  Got exactly what I calculated.  Was much quicker then GS.  Usually BB is so SLOW.

Picked up Borderlands The Pre sequel for PS3.  Almost ordered it for in store pick up.  Glad I didn't.  It is on clearance the 360 version is $9.99 before any discount.  PS3 version on their site still shows $19.99.  Rang up at $9.99 in store.  Just under $9 with GCU and tax.

Strange day.  Usually BB is a nightmare and GS goes pretty quick.  Felt bad for the guy he was alone and had at least 3 people doing a bag full of crap trades.

Have less then $3 at Game Stop now so probably wont need to go into one for a while now.

Funny how the two mothers were commenting on how little this crap was worth now.  We spend hundreds on these.  $50 a game.

This is some pretty good box art:

BB1-noscale.jpg

Too bad Nintendo didn't put Platinum Games' logo on the front, though. It's Bayonetta 2 all over again.
Too bad the game itself lacks the polish of the cover art.

Coop makes things a little easier. I'm always down to play if someone wants help.

Co-op makes the game too easy. Pancakes and I did some story mission levels together without a single enemy through without any real effort.

The endless survivals, now those are a different story. fuck those.

Its a huge shame Armello didn't win, would have been great for an active userbase. Still buying day 1. Might pick up Zombie Vikings with the 30% as well, and unfortunately never touch Grow Home.

$40 I think is what they give for working (original Vita 1000) I think.

Do you know anyone that is handy? I would be tempted to try and Frankenstein the two into one. If you screw it up it wasn't worth anything anyway.

I missed any mention of the discount on the other games--are they getting 30% off? What are their prices?

EDIT: Never mind, the blog post mentions the discount but no prices.

You said you let the one that got juiced dry out, did you try throwing it in rice at all to get any left over moisture out? Idk if you'd be able to get anything for them if they're not working, but you might be able to try opening it up and cleaning with a damp q-tip if you're sure all the moisture is out. might be able to get it working long enough to get a little cash towards a new one.

I still have to get back to BL2 on PS3 eventually, but thanks for mentioning this. I'll have to check my store while I'm trading in there tomorrow.

Did anybody watch that Walking Dead spinoff last night? The first season is only 6 episodes, so I'll probably just wait til it's over and binge it.
Wife and I thought it showed promise but we will see. Lots of character setup. She is a huge Walking Dead fan so it will be interesting to see what she thinks of the whole series.

Slapped by Twisted Metal, near-miss slaps on Teslagrad and La Mulana which I had considered picking up in previous sales. That will probably make the Twisted Metal plat even more valuable due to the grindy multiplayer trophies that hardly anyone who boots it up in plus will get.

I'm hoping that before it starts getting cold I can fit in at least 1 more amusement park run (probably king's island this time), a kayak/hiking trip, and another beach/lake trip. Summer went by quick this year.

It's only a slap if Sony puts it on sale recently then gives it for free soon after. La Mulana absolutely counts as a slap. Teslagrad would even probably qualify since it was on sale barely a month ago.
