I'm way too dumb to invest responsibly right now. I'd love to pretend that I'll make the time but instead I roll a stupid sticky ball around on a handheld videogame system for meaningless trophies. fuck my family's future though, right???
 
16 runs have been scored in this Mets-Phillies game, and they've all come via homers.

I feel like such a dirty slut cheating on the Braves with the Mets, but I think we can all agree that the Nats are the NL East team to hate nowadays. It was different back when the Braves and Mets were contending with each other.

I've been paying mine off at 3.375% instead of throwing it in a taxable account (mostly equities). But if the market keeps going down I may start throwing everything in taxable. I still like the idea of a paid off place, though.

Completed the wizard goals on CP too. Had Taxi goals a while back.

Yep. That was the first thing on my mind when I got paid. It's nice not to have to worry about house payments every month.

General Tips:
+Work as a full team.
+Use the Heavy Gunner class with perks to increase med-kits, ammo, health, defense.
+Conserve ammo. Available ammo has to last (5) rounds.
+Purchase a sniper rifle starting at wave 20
+Purchase (1) shield starting at wave 35 and (2) at wave 40
+Purchase holo/chaff grenades if you have enough money starting at wave 35/40

I will be utterly amazed if we hang in there long enough to use these tips. I guess I should play a bit in the morning to remember the controls.

Have you played the Draft Champions mode? It seems like it could be a neat idea.

Whoever in here picks it up, we should all get some games going. I haven't played much head to head since we were in n8's league a few years ago.

The only firsts I have are from review games where I got the game well before others, so I am not sure if those count.  I think I have a couple for OctoDad Vita.  I have the first 100% for The Bridge too.  That is kind of cool even if I had an unfair advantage.

The first ones I've platted were Master Reboot and Lost Dimension (surprised about that one). Should have been Danganronpa too but a reviewer platted the game one week before I even had the chance to touch it.

Neither, technically--I have to wait until the library actually gets copies in stock, which could take awhile. Based on the games I'll have lined up to play in the coming weeks, though, that shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, I played it twice tonight. I drafted pretty decent teams but ended up losing in the semi-finals both times. Once in OT as classic Madden tackling returned. It is somewhat cool though.

 
Stream went great tonight. 2 devs showed up and were very friendly and chatty. Thanks to everyone that was there, really appreciate it. Would be lame if they showed up and nobody else was watching, so yeah, thanks to everyone who tuned in!!!

 
My best "1st person to complete" was actually on a dinky Windows Phone 7 game called Breeze.

Game was free and just came out, everyone had found all the achievements except for one tied to finding the secret level. A thread on xboxachievements.com had basically figured out that the secret was definitely in one specific level, but nobody had the solution for it. I messed around in that level for about 45 mins until I accidentally triggered a wall to disappear. Took me about 20 mins to duplicate the solution and get the achievement then was able to share it with everyone else. Was a super cool moment.

Hi everyone! I left on vacation and have taken a break from video games. I've mainly been working and partying on the weekends. Now I'm trying to be responsible again and not spend so much money. As a result I'll be lurking around again and maybe playing games. Is everyone over Rocket League? Probably lol.
 
That roastme subreddit is great. People posting pictures of themselves and asking the commenters to make fun of them. They tear their asses up, too.

I have closer to $150 credit at Best Buy (vs. $900-ish at Gamestop), though you're right that I was aiming to increase it by $100 or so.

Yeah your right. I am a little jealous since I dont have the ability to get out and do this. When I finally have some free time I hope that these things occur on the weekends I dont have the kid. I will def start to participate more in flipping then. My luck the flips will occur when I have the kid though and she hates shopping. Go figure.

What's insane is that Fatal Frame V (regarded as the best in the series and an actually good Wii U game in how it uses the Gamepad) is getting a digital-only release on the eShop for $50 while Europe is getting a Limited Edition retail release. NOA proves their stupidity once again.

I appreciate when he posts some of the good flips. I can't see me ever putting in the time, effort, and money he does. But I do try to get the most (within reason) for my gaming dollar. I moved most of my GS credit yesterday to BB and PSN. Made a modest 'profit'. When you factor in my time I broke even at best. But wanted the credit over at BB since I buy all new releases from them.

For me it is 'easy' to run to BB and GS on my lunch during the week and depending on what I am doing on the weekend I am usually near a BB and two or three GS.

If had to travel a decent distance I wouldn't bother.

Yeah I dont need to travel. I have plenty of GS and BB near work and home. Both stores are within 2 minutes of each other. I have just been busy at work so I cant go at lunch, or if I can go to lunch I go to Winghouse with the guys. I could technically go on the weekends but with family and things going on I just dont want to bother now. Even later I wont do it much. I just need to do it a little to help with expenses.
