I don't see why not. As much as I bitch about the game it isn't horrible. Double plat since we both have the PS3 version too. A friend of mine can help us on PS3. I am pretty sure he has the plat and some high level people and gear. I don't think it is a hard plat. Just a bit of a grind at times for some of the challenges.

I will ask my friend if he got the plat or not and if he did what was the hard things to get done.
has the same rocket and shotgun grind as 2, rest of the challenges are pretty simple.

200 rocket splash kills and 750 point blank shotgun kills, gonna just try and use both of those a lot as we play through story to cut down on grind at the end.

yea, I still need to double plat 2 on ps3, gotta get the damn DLC for 2, just been to lazy to mess with the goty edition rental from GS.

I am slowly making my way through UVH on my Commando. Might be a week or two but when I get up to Data Mining I can cloud save that and bring it over to PS3. Might be tough to get through with you since I am at level 64 and will be probably 68 at least by then though.

Guess I will have to use the RL and Shotgun more too.

Well, I found 4 of the 5 GC's I used to order the Metal Gear CE, will check for the last one at home tonight before canceling it. That steelbook does look nice but not worth an extra $50 especially since I really only plan to run through the game's story.

Late to the discussion, but I cancelled my MGS5 CE a few weeks ago. That hand statue would just sit there looking dumb until it got packed up in a year or so. The other extras weren't really that exciting. With the money saved buying the vanilla game I'll probably pick up Mad Max.

Never heard of Makaishin Trillion before, but Kotaku's review sounds pretty interesting:

http://kotaku.com/so-i-fought-the-boss-with-a-trillion-hit-points-1726877718

https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=39m30s&v=JQ9hLw-AQqI

Gameplay starts at 39:30. It's a roguelike when combating normal enemies, but there's a boss with a trillion hitpoints and the game is designed to kill off the small set of characters available one by one. Wonder if it'll ever make it over here.

If I hadn't gotten Mad Max during the glitch I'd have done the same. Probably gonna roll this savings in to the Uncharted Collection instead.

The "Central Park" pinball table should be renamed "Lucky Bounce Simulator".
Dude I just can't seem to get that last wizard goal of 1,000 points on one ball. It's driving me nuts.
That's the same one I'm stuck on on PS3 & Vita. Got up to like 800-900, but can never close it out. I hate not having much control over my game.

100% agree. I don't know what is considered a good score on the table, but I knocked out the Standard Goals and beat the local High Score on my second or third go-around last night. I wasn't able to even get the 3000 score Wizard Goal after that.

The table is fun, though, and the monkey ringing the bell is classic.

To be fair to the game, these type of games are much more fun if you can bump them to influence the ball, but that's so rough in Pinball Arcade (and any other virtual pinball game). It's not like playing the real thing. Mind you, they are still lots of luck but you can improve your odds with skillful bumping.

Go ahead, make the jokes.

Binary Domain is a wacky game. I understand now why Mild likes it so much.
I finished the first chapter last night before the draft. I'm enjoying the game so far. It's definitely wacky, but in a good way. I do hate it when Bo steps in front of me while I'm shooting, and then gets pissed that I shot him.

Pharm, wtf with the Cakewalk difficulty. You should have manned-up and played on Survivor.

It's probably good that those of you who had preordered the MGS V CE are canceling it in favor of the standard game--the CE thread in the main forum contains reports that the CE might not come with the Day-One edition or the DLC codes it was supposed to.

Yeah they step in front of you a lot.

I talked about this before but I am playing on easy because I started on hard a few years ago and rage quit. I dont like the controls. I cant seem to aim very well and I was getting killed over an over again in one spot early on. Like the 2nd level. So I was like fuck this shitty game. It isnt good enough to me to warrant being frustrated.

Owl reminded me I hadnt finished it since I asked about what games I should play. Also I want to get my completion % to 50% so I decided to try again but on easy. On easy I can miss a lot and run through shit and not really die. I just want to get through the story and be done with it. Maybe pick up some #commons along the way.

I really want to get back into the MGS series, is it worth taking the time to go through MGS IV before Phantom Pain?  Or should I just move on to Phantom Pain?

anyone wanna boost airmech arena sometime? it shouldn't be tough cuz no one is playing online or else I would do it legit. iv got 61/100 kills and probly only like 5/20 interceptions legit but i can't even find games anymore. it is free to play ps4
I can probably help out at some point. Probably won't be free till next week though. Sucks no ones playing, Airmech is pretty fun.

Shutshimi is still awesome, but I think the devs could have done one of three things to make it better:

1. Make more trophies out of the Awardments and give the game a plat.

2. Offer a Plus discount for the first week--20% or more would have been nice.

3. Charge less for the game overall--maybe $7.50 or $5? There isn't a whole lot more to the game once you've beaten the six bosses and Boss Rush (which I'll do once the patch is released).

If anything, I think it'd be better to have played MGS3, Peace Walker, and Ground Zeroes before Phantom Pain, but according to reviews (or at least what snippets I've seen since I'm still avoiding reading them) this is the easiest MGS to get into.

There are some aspects of MGS4 that I could see playing an important role in understanding some of Phantom Pain, though--particularly during the ending.

Phantom Pain takes place in the past (Big Boss)

MGS 4 - solid snake ending.

The only thing that makes it relatively useless is all the quoting that gets done in here. I personally love the feature.
I would think it would be worth it if you didnt want to even see the person posting and in turn you see less posts and have less to scroll through. But my understanding is that you still see that the person posted, you just have their words redacted or whatever. So you still have to see that they posted and scroll by it. Not sure how that is better than just skipping past anything they say anyway.

The quoting thing can kind of kill the feature too. So another strike against it.

But then again I read or at least skim every single post anyway cause I like to see everything. Even Therm posts.

It was more annoying in the old version of CAG where you had huge white bars where those people posted.  Now, it is barely noticeable unless they post 4 or 5 times in a row.  I have the will power to not click on them so the quoting is my only issue.

Yeah, while I said I will buy the game and will...it just isnt worth $10 to me after watching Tyler play it and knowing the amount of levels etc. I will pick it up at $5 or less. Sorry cool devs!

I'm bumping as much as I can on this bad boy, but agree real life bumping is better than digital bumping. Plus having to have wicked bump skills just confirms it's a lucky bounce simulator. The tilt seems very inconsistent too, making it hard to judge when and where you can give a good hard bump and when you should go for a more gentle, tender bump.

#bump

#promnight

MGS4 is amazing and should be experienced, but I wouldn't expect it to be required reading for 5 since it takes place so long after. Ride the hype train and play 5 right away with everyone else. You can and should play 4 later.

Game is fun enough that I don't mind dropping the $10 on it, but yeah, a discount or $7.50 intro price would have made it easier. I think I made it to the 5th boss this morning before fucking up on an invisible run, but I probably only have another day or two with this one until I'm done with it.

More trophies out of the awardments would have been nice, but a plat for this seems kind of weird lol.

While I don't completely regret paying $10 for it, I probably should have just gotten Titan Souls instead. I still might get it anyway.

I just have the Tsundere Shark and Boss Rush trophies left (#BringYourVitaToWork). Hopefully the devs release the patch soon.

If Super Exploding Zoo, Goat Simulator, and I Am Bread have plats, why couldn't this? IT HAS A BADASS GOLDFISH

Mike Fiers and the Houston Astros would like to have a word with you.
Ha, you're right. When Iwakuma did it that was the stat. I saw an Astro did it, and even though the damn Astros are in the Mariners division, my brain still processes them as an NL team. Just one more reason to hate the Astros. They ruined my fun fact by 1 week.

Are there six bosses? I was on the 6th one but died.

Had a really good run going then good powerups completely dried up on me during the last 10 waves.

EDIT: Just read your other post where you say there are 6.

I picked up RE: Revelations 2 on Vita. I know it's probably not as good as the PS4 version but figured I'd get to play it sooner on the Vita. I only just started it but runs well so far. Load times are long but I expected as much. I read in a review it slows down with a lot of enemies on screen but I noticed there is a patch already as well (haven't done it yet). As long as I can play through it I'm good.

For another forum I am on some one wrote a custom script that works in Firebox and Chrome that will even hide posts where an ignored user is quoted. Wish it wasn't forum specific. But honestly I think I have one maybe two people on ignore here. One of which was banned a while ago.

While this thread isn't perfect we self police pretty well.
