I would order the standard edition of MGS V but Best Buy's shipping won't get it to me until the 7th. Guess I'll just drive to a store for it, then.

So the novelty of Fallout Shelter has worn off so I decided to download a save that has 9999 lunchboxes... game is a little more fun now but I'm guessing I'll be bored again in a week and back to playing real games.

So, I stopped to pick up the wife's prescriptions. There were three total, the girl rings them up, and says, 'Your total is $812.' WTF!!!

Apparently, the generic of the medicine my wife has always taken for migraines no longer exists, so only the name brand is available. Who buys that stuff? $800 for 50 pills. The wife will be calling the Dr. tomorrow for something similar that is offered in a generic.

I'm so glad to have finished this. It really became a chore partway through playthrough 2 of 3. The game just doesn't add enough on subsequent playthroughs to make it worth the effort. The story and characters are meh. The combat system is interesting but needed further development. They're making a 2nd game--I'll probably grab that on the cheap, but unless it's vastly improved I won't try for the plat unless I come up with a possible easy way to get it like I did for this game (too late for my benefit, but I posted the steps here: http://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/5294998-post1.html )

It's buggy even a year after release. Here's what I noticed:

  1. Part of the audio sometimes quits working. Dialogue included, but some other sound effects just disappear.
  2. The game sometimes hard crashes. I think it happened twice per run. All in different spots/situations, and usually but not always after the audio bug.
  3. There's a spell you use (Prayer) that creates a decoy to focus enemy attacks. While they're attacking it, you can go crazy on the enemy. One particular boss has a grab move that works on the decoy; you'll be across the room and he'll grab the decoy and then suddenly you teleport over mid-animation and you get thrown instead.
  4. Something else I can't recall at the moment.

It's worth a single playthrough and then for trophies the little bit extra at the end. I don't think it was worth the time spent doing three full runs, though. If you can get it in the $5-10 range I think it'd be worth that at this point.

Didn't realize there was going to be a ps3 version of MGSV. Well, there's another reason not to upgrade. I can put off buying that ps4 for at least a year now.

Who was it that had their preorder of Avengers backordered from BBY even though they preordered back before the sale?  What happened with it?  Just noticed that mine is not only showing "backordered" but also still hasn't updated to the $20 sale price.  I knew I was still going to have to call those fuckers.

Sure if he wouldn't have been so difficult with me and let me attain high trust. Don't jump in front of my gun and then complain that I'm shooting you and not defending you.

For clarification I only referred to Faye as the hot chick because there was another female who definitely wasn't hot.

And now my MGSV CE isn't showing in my order status for what I can only assume is because I paid with paypal so it's already paid in full and not just a hold.  I was going to cancel and preorder the regular edition but looks like I'll have to return and rebuy.... GODDAMMIT BBY

yeah, last trophies I had to get in single player were redoing the trust levels. I only got Faye in 1st run (but very high with big bo for a trophy, but not max) and my no mercy run i only got charlie (worked on rachel also) I just had to redo a few chapters to get Cain/Rachel/BigBo maxed out. Shindo was pretty automatic if you take him with ya
