damn man, i jumped on the bandwagon and grabbed that the other day but only did the first act with my girl before i turned it off. Can't beat $2 plat and a fun game. I sent Deception 4 nightmare princess back yesterday, platted sleeping dogs again on ps3, and beat bf hardline again on ps3. Now im doing this toy soldiers game and a few ps+ games this month. It's rough playing video games all the time like we do.

You did the dlc where you get to kill Han, Chewie and Leia? That was awesome epic fun. Wish you got to kill Jarjar too, lol, but I know that makes no sense. punting ewoks is great tho, so anti-petaFinished extra hard playthrough of Endor DLC, so about an hour of content for $0.50 (bought it on sale, normally $1). Very linear path (which isn't that different from the rest of the game) but the forest is a nice change of scenery at least. A few light puzzle elements, 3 new costumes which are shit, a few new enemy types (you get to murder ewoks) and a couple of boss battles (with familiar faces). The second boss battle was actually more challenging than the final boss battle of the main game (but fair) on extra hard, It comes with several trophies (300 TT worth) and it can be done pretty easily in 1 playthrough, you just have to press start and exit game (to the main menu) before the screen goes black after you die, then select continue for the no death trophy. You restart at the last checkpoint with full health.
If you decide to buy and beat the main game, I'd say it's a no brainer to buy the Endor DLC, it's worth it just to punt kick ewoks and to support reasonably price DLC.

I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Dialogue is fantastic and the characters are very well-developed. Even in easy mode you'll not want to just run in and fight everything, but the stealth isn't bad. I'm 1/4-1/3 through the story and not a single trophy pop yet, which is a bit odd. There's not a single progression trophy, just 100% collectibles/upgrades and game completion, so everything hits at the end.I really need to play tlou remastered. I might try looking for a cheap copy after mad max. I will be playing on easy mode though for sure.
I'm not sure if headshots are really hard or if I just really suck. Could be a combination of both. I did upgrade weapon sway, but the enemies move enough to be difficult especially with the bow.

pharm - you'll hate tlou. even on easy it's primarily a stealth game (and wandering simulator). it also takes an obscenely long time to get going - it feels like the first 3 hours or so your feet are in a tar pit until you get out of the first 'area'. I fall in to the camp of it being somewhat overrated, but it does do a really solid job with characters.
I also think the multiplayer is kinda fun but it does drag at the end if you're going for the tropheeeez.
Oh yeah, the trophies are also completely awful. You have to use a guide during the first run through or you'll end up with like one shitty trophy by the time you finish the game. and if you're anything like me after finishing the game there's no way you'll want to go through it again any time soon.

I knew about the stingy trophies but was hoping I could blow threw the story on easy at least. If its still real slow even on easy...meh. I cant just shoot the bad guys on easy? I still have to hide all the time and walk by them all?

even by the end of the game on easy you're no rambo. it definitely takes a long time to get to a point where sustained shootouts are an option and ammo is still scarce enough through the game to where you can't just firefight your way through every or even most encounters. it's heavily melee focused so the goal for encounters is generally to sneak around, use your superman hearing to track dudes, stealth choke a couple bitches out and if/when you get spotted use your melee weapons to get out of it (or guns with really limited ammo).
this is why I don't want to play it on grounded - resources felt limited to me on easy. What do you get - like three bullets and a shiv for the entirety of grounded?

But, seriously, I got two Vacation jackpots and three trips to Wet Willie's. And yes the 5x multiplier is valuable. Ideally you time that with starting multiball, but I rarely manage that. But you can also collect quite a few points by completing rafts while it is running. It's 5x everything. And multiball can be quite valuable on it's own. Ideally you shoot 3 jackpots right at the start and then all jackpots are 3x for the rest of the multiball. Oh, and I probably went through all the whirlpool awards at least 3 times during that game.

ok serious question - how can you get the 3x jackpot without losing at least one or two of the balls? I can't coordinate my hands/eyes enough to watch them come down from the left ramp while trying to shoot the next ball up it.

Had an epic first ball on Whirlwind just now. Got like 3 extra balls and 10M or something. Then I shit the bed and finished at 21M. But at least I took care of the rest of the Wizard goals for that sweet sweet trophy.

That's tricky, but you can stand to lose one ball, so don't worry about that first one. But, yeah, even if you try to ignore that ball it often messes up my timing on the 3rd jackpot shot. But 2x jackpots are still pretty good.

You don't have to stealth everything, but the game doesn't set you up so that you can just wade in and destroy a pack of infected, either. The best approach is definitely to kill quietly when possible, either by sneak and choke/stab or by using the bow. There are melee weapons, but they have durability and none of them seem to last long. A lead pipe can get you through a few infected and then you're back to punching, stabbing (with shivs that start out as 1 stab per shiv and your max is 3 shivs), or gunplay. Gunplay brings more infected.
The infected mostly are finite, though, so if you clear an area, that's it. There are events that seem to have an infinite stream of infected, but when those trigger the intent is for you to run, not fight.
On easy you don't die too fast. If an infected grabs you for a bite it's game over, but most of the time you can punch it out with infected after infected and still be okay. It depends on the type, though--clicker infected can't die from a beating, so you need a weapon of some sort, and the bloated will kill you immediately if you get too close. Even on easy you're not exactly swimming in bullets and such, though, so you really need to be able to make kills without wasting all your resources in the process.
So yeah. Stealth is definitely a focus.

I found that holding the left flipper down when the first ball comes down the ramp will bounce the ball up enough so you can watch that third ball come down and make the jackpot shot. But yeah, like chewy said, if you lose just one it's no big deal. Makes it less hectic and easier to hit more jackpots later if you only have two to manage.
I played some more Whirlwind this morning as I took our other car for maintenance, but still on Vita, at least, I just can't get the shots going. I do have something like a 24 mill game going that I had to pause, but I think I'm on my last ball and I've already played multiball a couple times. I'm going to switch over to PS3 tonight and see if I can't do better there, plus I believe I haven't even started it there, so, trophies.

Sounds way too punishing if you up the stealth. At least in metal gear when I inevitably up I can run around and shoot everyone with little consequence.

If I were you, I'd just give up on that 24M game. It's obviously not going anywhere useful. 24M is a good score.
I pretty much agree with everything mild said. I played it at release (got a 'new' copy at Game Stop for PS3 in the dark days before GCU) and almost didn't finish it. Was happy it was over when I did finish it. Was so annoyed with it decided not to even screw around with the the online play. Traded it back in pretty quick.
For whatever reason I decided to buy a code for in on PS4. Enjoyed it a lot more the second go around. I can't recall the difficulty I picked but it was one of the easier ones. I even played all the DLC that was included with the remastered version. While not a GOTY or a favorite or mine I am glad I played it through and got my 6 trophies.
Game is mad stingy with the trophies. I remember watching Topside on Twitch (I am pretty sure it was him) tear it up in the MP. I remember thinking it was way too slow for me the way he reloads, heals etc.

Thanks for all you guys that stopped into the stream last night. I apologize that I was playing better on Grow Home than the previous time I streamed it and was cussing a bit less (except for when trying to get that god damn bird up the cliff).
Special thanks to Guardian Owl for letting me know about the trophy work around when they glitched on me and George for letting me know where that bird was in the first place. I dont remember the name of the random viewer that told me how to get the trophy for killing the meep in a snapdragon, but that was cool too.
I have a love hate relationship with it, but I doubt if I would have enjoyed it as much as I did if I wasn't streaming it. I am not sure if I will stream it when I play to clean up the last few trophies or not. If we play more Zombie Kings again tonight and finish up kind of early, I may tack it on to the end of that again if there is interest.
