Fallout fans, my wife surprised me with this today. I heard about them but didn't know they were out.

Why don't I have permission to view this?

So, for Uncharted Golden Abyss: Do those Near updates still work at all?
Sure do. I just got the plat and did use it to get around 5-6 of the collectibles. It doesn't work well, though, unless you've got a lot of friends or neighbors playing the game. I'd suggest just going for all the other trophies as the weapon kill and difficulty stuff will probably net you the majority of the bounties. Then when you're done with everything else you'll know what bounty types to target for near/grinding.

I just knocked out Left Behind. Very good DLC. Not what I was really expecting, especially
the kiss and not seeing the death scene at the end
but I think it was a solid bit of content.

Ended up making it halfway through chapter 4 on Grounded. I'll return to the game another time to finish that off, but I feel I've spent enough time on it for now. I just realized I somehow missed the joke trophy, too, which I'll have to investigate when I go back to it. Not sure how I didn't get that one--perhaps I died after one of the jokes and then didn't trigger it again, I dunno.

Now that I've finished the game's SP content I'm hoping somebody can answer this:
What is the deal with the Fireflies? I never got a sense of what they were trying to accomplish that made them counter to the military to the point that both groups were trying to kill each other off. I'm also confused about why they couldn't just take Ellie to the military for immunity testing. I can't see the military not being interested in developing a cure. Having that possibility not even come up just seems bizarre.

I managed to S-rank Mission 6 in MGS V on my first completion...somehow. I had to Retry From Checkpoint at a part near the end multiple times because I kept dying, but thankfully the only price you pay for multiple Retries is the 5000-point bonus for No Retries, which is nice.

Didnt the penalty for restarting from checkpoint stack cumulatively?

I downloaded the Tearaway demo yesterday so played that a little. I have and completed the Vita version so I am in no rush to buy the PS4 version. Still a great game though, but not a fan of the motion controls. I had to take a photo yesterday and my camera was flipping out all over the screen.

Went back to Target yesterday to look at Vita game prices, still at 50% near me. Hopefully they drop today or tomorrow. I did grab some 16GB memory cards since they were only $20 (as is) still sealed. I also picked up Killzone for $15 since I haven't seen that at most Targets. I'm actually contemplating going for a complete US set of Vita games but there's a lot of Japanese type games I'm not really interested in owning. We'll see.

It did in Ground Zeroes, which is why I was relieved to see that it wasn't the case for Phantom Pain. I thought I would have to go for the S-rank later since I retried 6-7 times, but I couldn't see anything on the final ranking screen to indicate that I was penalized for the multiple retries other than not getting the No Retries bonus.

I have bad news for you if you're going to retry every single mission, especially with starting gear.

I don't plan on retrying if I can help it (if I'm ever discovered, I usually start the mission over from the beginning), but...what are you talking about?

Have you looked at their schedule? Their first 11 games, other than Romo and Brady, 9 of those games are against shitty QBs. It gets a lot tougher the last 5 games against Flacco, Eli, Rivers, Luck, and Brady again, but they've got a chance to get off to a great start.
yeah right now its a soft schedule. If they can't beat cousins and the turmoil in dc they should pack it in.

Why wouldnt you just play the first time and then go back to missions later once you have better gear? Seems like a lot of extra work.

That's what I figured I'd have to do for the S-rank when I finished Mission 6 the first time since I had retried multiple times, but getting it anyway means I won't have to worry about it. I also didn't have much of the mission left to complete at the part where I kept dying (I just had to exfiltrate the hot zone). Lastly, I'll have to replay several missions anyway when I have the upgraded Fultons so I can complete certain Mission Tasks.

why you not picking the Bucs in the CAG Survivor League man

Titans are really bad
not so sure the bucs aren't going to be bad. Plus its raining all weekend so it will be wet and I don't like jameis in the rain and Mike Evans is doubtful. Plus you can't reusethe same team so I went with the safest pick this week without picking a gimme like new England. Might need them later.

my zero suit samus looks like shit, thanks a lot target packers. how hard is it to but the amiibo on the bottom of the box so the packaging doesn't get bent to shit? luckily the other ones that came in look good so far.

It's tempting because sometimes I'm somewhere and just want a easy way to have Netflix. Unfortunately, Vita TV is not the answer even though it should be, and I don't feel like carrying my laptop around.

Although I should probably hold out for something more standalone like the Fire stick or a Roku.

Replaying Hitman: Contracts for the first time in probably 10 or 11 years, so far Blood Money is still the best starting point I think. I've played 4 missions so far and all of them require you to either sneak around carefully and avoid guards or require immediately finding a disguise in order to move more freely. Blood Money has much more room to experiment since most of the missions are in public places. The interface of Blood Money is also more refined.
