Simply counting carbs isn't the be all end all of how I structure my diet. It is a huge part, but not everything. I'll get more nutritional mileage out of bran and fruit than I would from Fruity Pebbles, which only provides a large spike in my blood sugar.

I've successfully managed this for nearly a decade now, so I think I've got a handle on it. If you'd like to be my health care provider, go ahead. However, I imagine your schedule is pretty filled, what with your full-time position of being an asshole.
This is true. Fiber, fats, and proteins help curb rising blood sugar from simple sugars and carbs. Micronutrients do this as well. I'm skeptical of raisin bran and a banana specifically providing enough of the former to offset the latter, but if the rest of your diet, medication, and health regimen are sufficient to offset the raisin bran and banana, I'm actually really glad. My parents' lives are essentially over at 50, and may literally be over in a few years. I don't want anyone else's life to end up in such a fashion if they can prevent it.

Not as good as Xeodrifter, apparently.
I did not like Xeodrifter. I will probably think STFU is just as boring since it seems everyone here likes it. Now I am worried Foul Play will be more difficult than people let on.

Wait, Mild and RPG platted Foul Play? Damn that shit must be easy.

Finally got around to watching Fury Road, it was very intense and technically impressive. Did they dub over all of Tom Hardy's lines, whenever he talked it sounded really weird. Maybe he just isn't good at doing his own ADR. It was good, but I don't know if it's the type of thing that would be very rewatchable.
Thank god someone else here doesnt orgasm when talking about that movie. It was just a fun action movie with technically impressive effects. I didnt think it was the bees knees either.

What's the point of turning off reflex mode... higher score I assume? Is it substantial enough that it's worth doing?
Eh, not really. Time is the big factor for those sweet S rankings and the bonuses for not getting spotted/no kills. Perfect stealth bonus just means you never used reflex mode. It really depends on your playstyle and I left it on, since its a fun mechanic even if too generous at times.
I turned Reflex Mode off as soon as I started the game because it feels like a very un-MGS mechanic. Even with Reflex Mode off, I've been able to tranq/CQC most guys who spotted me before they could alert anyone else.

I saw a couple commercials for Uncharted collection yesterday and it really got me excited to play the games again.  Then I realized all the other shit I have to play still and that Uncharted 4 doesnt come out until next year so I think I will wait.

I also watched a preview for Ass Creed Syndicate.  I am really excited to play this now.  They have a line gun or something to grapple buildings to make getting around easier and faster.  Hopefully they can have it polished and ready to go unlike Unity.  Unity was fine after they fixed it so lets hope they learned and Syndicate is ready to go out of the box.

They said previously that Crushing is unlocked by default and Brutal unlocks after you beat it, though... :whistle2:k
Correct, 3 playthroughs minimum each..... Unless you beat the speed run on crushing or brutal, but good luck with that. Unless it's a speed run that requires crushing or brutal

yet that 8-bit gauntlet wannabe Heroes of Loot is giving you a hard time? I don't understand.

MGS V doesn't rely on RNG anywhere near as much. As I mentioned yesterday, I can be doing pretty well on a HoL run when a Minotaur or two just appear in a room with other enemies and slaughter me before I can react.

As far as the uncharted collection goes, it'll almost certainly be $10-15 for vouchers at the beginning of next year if it's anything like the tlou bundles were. I still haven't finished Uncharted 3 so I'm going to try to get that done before 4 drops.

And yeah, syndicate is going to be the tits. They integrated some weird batman gadgets including some hallucinogenic darts and some sort of grappler and they probably have the unity engine a bit more sewn up. I'm pretty excited for it.

I really should wait on the Uncharted Collection too since I have Syndicate, BO3, Battlefront, and Fallout 4 all coming this year but damn it I am really jonesing to play through the series again.

just pretend minotaurs are metal gear solid guards and boom. I've now taught you everything I know.

Ah. I didn't catch that there's a speedrun. I thought for 3 runs it was initial, crushing, then brutal. Speedrun makes it more interesting.

Note that this guy is from the EU blog, so who knows if this matters for the announcement of our lineup (which has been the same as theirs for a while now IIRC).

I can deal with the Crushing and Brutal even though I would have preferred to be able to just play Brutal from the get go. I absolutely hate speed runs. Some people enjoy that nonsense, but I am guessing there are way fewer people that are into speed running a game than there are people into trophies.

Let me play the fucking way I want to play without some arbitrary timer on it. If there are in fact speed run trophies I will likely drop it from my Gamefly Q.

First impressions? Gameplay videos look awful. Looks like they aren't sending review copies out until today so that they can try and trick some people into buying.
I just finished the main tutorials last night and it does not look next gen at all. I'm about to play it some more right now and see how the "story mode" is.

I am not sure if any of you anime people are interested in the Muv Luv series or not.  They are localizing it via a kickstarter campaign and it has almost reached the Vita goal with a lot of time left to go.  I played one of the PS3 versions some time ago.  I think it was the one from the stretch goal.  IIRC, it was pretty much start auto skip and check it every 10 minutes for a choice.  No matter what you picked it went on and unlocked all the trophies.  After about 45 minutes you had a plat.

Wonder if the Speed Run trophy is the same or if it does count towards the plat. If it does count then that's only 2 runs for the plat.

Maybe I just didn't read it since I hadn't played the game yet, but weren't some of you talking that the Foul Play plat is easy? This shit isn't easy at all.

And that fucking in-game cloud saving shit is just straight up stupid as shit. Just save my fucking game save to my hard drive!
Not particularly easy. Seriously, fuck that vampire. I thought I was clear on that lol.

Started Sly Cooper last night on pharms gleaming recommendation. I like it so far, but that turtles voice acting is annoying as fuck

Wow so there isn't even a story mode in Tony Hawk.

From what I can tell:

-We choose from player created levels and THPS5 levels.  From those level there are a few collectibles and challanges

-No create your own character, just skateparks

-You can alternate between online hub levels or your own private level.

And that is the jist of it for $60 lol.

Yeah, the graphics are clearly pretty bad, but I can live with that if it plays well. From what I can tell, though, it looked kind of janky. The biggest knock I can see is that the environments look to be really bland/lame.

Its not a terrible game. Its just very basic and childish (see turtle voice acting etc). Also, yeah the gameplay with the other characters besides Sly is pretty dumb too. Not bad, just basic and boring.

My main problem is that I hate games where the camera auto rotates as you move. I want to move the camera and have it stay where it is so I can explore or search for items and collectables. The auto rotation just pisses me off even though it isnt broken per say. Just a pet peeve of mine.

The THPS5 parks themselves look bland so far (still haven't unlocked most of them) but with user created levels (filtered by a rating system) you could see some pretty cool designed parks.

Yeah, I got kinda annoyed with that already. I already missed a couple of the bottles in the second level because I couldn't tell they were floating above the fire grates on strings until after I fell down. Couldn't find a way back up to them either.
