I have drug my feet on getting my wife a new laptop and apparently karma bit me in the ass.  Now mine wont charge at all.  I am hoping it is just the cord, but I fear the worst.  Luckily I have a hardware guy at work with a multimeter so I can easily find out the bad news tomorrow.

I have commandeered my youngest's Chromebook for the night.

I was going to give this post a 3.476/5.000 but due to all the retarded, completely unnecessary bolding of game titles, I'm going to have to lower the score 0.217 for each one. That brings this post down to a 2.174/5.000.

Brb need to figure out a way to format this better so people think I'm cool.

Maybe like this?
wait, so what are you predicting here?

Oh darn, you've found out my secret. Sorry for your allergy to boldface.

For some reason my wife and I have been watching periscopes for like two hours. I'm fucking tired and do not understand why people do this shit. I'm captivated.

So some bunch of racist fuckwads did something to proudly show their belligerence and stupidity; there's a movement to boycott Star Wars because it's anti-White:

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/boycott-star-wars-vii-movement-833102

because it's nothing more than a social justice propaganda piece that alienates it's core audience of young white males.
These people should just go die.

Reviews for the season finale of Tales from the Borderlands:

Destructoid (9/10)

I cannot recommend Tales enough. Borderlands fans will love the fresh take on the dark comedy universe. Telltale fans will love the smart writing and callbacks to choices made throughout. People who don't fall into those categories might still love it because it is just that great.
This last episode maintains the action, drama, and comedy present throughout the series. It ties up all the major loose ends while leaving just a hint of room for more to come. Most of all, it solidifies Tales from the Borderlands as Telltale's best series to date, a pinnacle of modern adventure gaming.
IGN (9/10)

Tales from the Borderlands Episode 5: The Vault of the Traveler finishes off Rhys and Fiona’s journey in impeccable fashion. From heartbreak to hilarity, it runs the gamut of emotions in some really effective ways. All of the questions and mysteries from the previous four episodes pay off in wonderful fashion, while Episode 5 simultaneously introduces a slew of new, intriguing possibilities for the future of the world. I’m bummed to say goodbye to Telltale’s adventure on Pandora, but I'll be damned if it wasn’t one hell of a ride.
Gamespot (9/10)

Tales from the Borderlands' is a triumphant piece of narrative, a thrilling romp through an already rich game world piled high with both reverential and tongue-in-cheek nods to its source material. It asks you what it means to be a hero, but on a deeper level explores themes of greed, family, friendship, and forgiveness. It has its cataclysmic, epic moments, plot twists that were impossible to see coming, gut-wringing sad bits, and an embarrassing wealth of humor. The choices you've made throughout the series matter and ripple outward to the finale, and with a cast as irritatingly loveable [sic] as this one, it's impossible not to care about where they're going next.

Makes sense, it's why it took me until the Vita suspend feature to actually play through 2&3. I did make it through 4 on the PS3 though afterwards. I'm just suprised (given your age) [not a joke] that you didn't at least play Metal Gear Solid on the PS1. It was really ahead of it's time. Oh and as batshit as the Metal Gear story is, it's actually really entertaining.
I have it loaded up in my Vita but haven't forced myself to try it yet. I thought the little of MSG4 I watched it was a complete bore. But willing to give 2 and/or or 3 a try since it was so cheap. I played the MGS5 demo and like it till I tried the side mission stuff and went from maybe buying MGS5 at launch to maybe getting it some day for $20. The stealth in the mission I tried was horrible.

Don't leave us hanging man. What was the big important purple thing?!?!?!

(wait that doesn't sound right...)

It's hard to tell from that trailer, but it doesn't seem like the new game is very similar to the previous games. Granted I didn't play those, but gameplay videos show very little resemblance. Looks to have gone from 3rd person thing where you send minions everywhere to some kinda Diabloesque isometric game. Anybody that's played earlier titles in the series have an opinion on that?

PS4 3.10 goes live today. Twitter gives a link that isn't live yet, but it should be soonish I guess:

The EU twitter account gives a bit more detail:

started transformers this morning. for some bizarre reason I decided to start on commander difficulty and I am getting completely wrecked. I think I'm at the end of chapter one and I can't manage to get more than 25% of second megatron's lifebar gone.

It is pretty fun. Some stuff feels really unnecessary like taking 5 minutes to beat up on the giant claws and the rooftop to rooftop ramps but the actual fighting is super.

Got caught up in that trailer hype and bought my midnight ticket for Star Wars. I forgot my local theater has been doing assigned seats in big comfy recliners. Got to pick one dead center. HYPE! I hope it's as good as I want it to be. For Topside's sake. Sounds like it might be the last straw for his marriage if it's not.

That trailer looks good... a lot better than what I ever expected.

On another plus note, my wife actually wants to see it with me... fingers crossed

Sega just trademarked what looks to be a new Valkyria game:

Not suprised! I've been saying its the best Telltale game since playing episode one. I can't wait to load up the final chapter!

MGS V is one of, if not, the best stealth game ever created. What elevates it even higher is that it can be played completely run and gun as well.

Oh, Konami:

Konami has denied that Kojima has left the company. According to Tokyo Sports, via Kotaku, a Konami spokesperson told the outlet that, “Currently, Kojima is a listed as a company employee [at Konami].”
The statement continued, “Currently, Kojima and the development team are finished developing Metal Gear Solid V and are taking a long time off from work.”

Regarding the farewell party, Konami replied, “We’re not sure what kind of thing this was.”

Go home, you're drunk. Wait, you can't be drunk because you weren't invited to the party. :boxing:

Headed to the pumpkin patch today. $18 for admission, $5 for a pumpkin. A million germs from the petting zoo.
We went to farm in the Catskills area of NY on Saturday. Cold as hell but nice view this time a year. Got a couple of pumpkins and some fresh produce. They have a corn maze which we also did. Also fresh out of the oven apple cider donuts. 7th year we went up there for Halloween. Usually go a week early. Ended up dropping $50 I think

The Force Awakens trailers are already better than all of the last 3 movies confirmed. I'm actually excited about Star Wars again! YES!

Up to Mission 25 now in MGSV. Hopefully I finish it up by sometime in November. Some of the missions can feel same-y at times but the game is so good you kind of don't care. This one is for you Kojima  :applause: Good Show Good Show indeed, awesome to go out on such a high note.

I really hope the whole season gets a physical release, as I'd love to own it that way.
You and I both. I'm sure it will. I'm just thankful its finishing before they decided to start doing that season pass disc bullshit they're pulling with Minecraft Story Mode.

I'm pretty excited and all for Star Wars, but like Pharm said..I'm not going anywhere near the theaters til after the holidays. Packed theaters are the worst. I like to be comfortable and not around a million star wars geeks. Talking my son out of it will be the hard part.

So I'm hoping we see some black Friday leaks maybe next week. I'll be looking to score a cheap big tv to throw down in my basement, as well as hopefully some good new 3ds bundles for the 2 youngest for xmas. Hopefully a few cheap ps4 games to start filling up that backlog too. Gtav, last of us, and dragon age I'd love to all get for cheap.

Good luck finding GTA V for cheap on PS4. I don't think that's ever dropped below $40 since its release.

DA:I will likely be an easier find (especially since the PS4 version had a $19.99 sale price recently IIRC), though you should probably wait for the GotY edition to drop in price to maximize the value.

Unless you need to own TLoU physically for PS4, people have been selling codes (from its PS4 bundle) in the $10-$15 range, even here on CAG.

I'm not in a rush to get anything as I'll have fallout 4 and battlefront to play, so if there's not a good deal that's ok. I definitely am looking for da goty because ea sucks with their dlc prices. EA is great though on black Friday usually though, and have most their newer games at 30-35 most years..I'd grab the goty at that price.

Dragon Age PS4 is $16 after GCU at Best Buy right now...why not grab it? I doubt it will be any lower come Black Friday.
