Well you started as a BAMF in the beginning of 3, but the opening hours as Connor were as brutal as anything else in the series (maybe the worst). I seem to remember 4 getting you to the good stuff pretty quick (minus wandering around abstergo).
Maybe they did. It was a lot better than being stuck as some idiot where you had no Assassin weapons like what they did in Unity.
It is those huge white caps going further and further out from the shore that really tell what is happening.

His double-jump makes so many levels easy now. He's probably the best overall character in the game, though Meat Boy works better for certain levels (e.g., ones that require speed more than platforming).
