Ugh, best buy won't get my divinity until next week. I'll have need for speed by then. I'd cancel divinity and buy it on psn, would put me $3 shy of 100, but I used $30 in certs on it.

So cancel it anyway and you get back your certs... different story had it been gift cards you no longer had... that's a pain.

OK which one of you sports haters made this spot-on press conference parody with Weird Al?

Yeah, but that seems awfully bulky for travel use. While I'd be interested in the idea, I don't think I'd actually take another large device out and about with me on top of my regular laptop, ipad, and phone.

Then you add in the people who've completely switched to tablet only or chromebook sized laptops/convertables and I really don't think it'd leave the house. Especially as a dedicated gaming machine.

As is, I know I carry around a lot of crap during the week just having a laptop/tablet/phone/vita (and occasionally 3DS) I don't know if I could be convinced that I need a home console sized thing to just take around with me instead of just playing the occasional steam game on my existing laptop or a mobile game while I'm out. It'd be good for extended trips, but I think they'd loose a lot as far as smaller sessions and/or commute time gaming where they see a lot of sales from ala Japan.
Yeah true, it would be something bulky to carry around, probably not too kid friendly either which might not make sense for Nintendo.

Why not just an upgraded DS that has HDMI out and is able to convert to HD on the screen or something like that?

Could that compete with a PS4 and an XBONE though? They need to come to the plate swinging this time around. After the 3DS I feel like the clamshell design has worn out it's welcome. Unless they really refine it and give me a decent resolution on the go. Like a slim DS Lite with a bigger screen would be appealing. How much power could that have though? Vita+some, Wii U ish specs?

Pair of Chinese guys walk by my table at this Peruvian chicken place. One of the two stops in front of my table and stares at my food for 10 seconds, says something to his friend, then walks off.

Did you know you could set your PSN profile pic to a photo in the PlayStation mobile app? I just set mine to a certain (in)famous Donkey Kong player. Does that really show up on PSN?

Only to people you have exchanged a real name request with. Like I am still Sly Cooper to most, but I have a Wolverine image that the people who have done a real name request exchange with.

On Xbox it allows you to set your own Gamertag pic but people only see if if they choose a setting to allow custom pics on their end. I would think PSN would work in a similar way, meaning most people would never even know.

The kid has this little half-Japanese girl in her story hour class at the library. They had their Halloween party today, and the girl's mom brought some packages of some cracker-candy thing. I don't know what it is. They look like Kix cereal, but taste kind of like a fruity cracker. Nothing on the little bag is in English, so I don't know what they're called. She wasn't a fan of them, though. They did taste sorta funky. I imagine it's an acquired taste.

Kinda feel like this story would have been better told through a series of tweets like the one sage posted.

Just finished my first playthrough of Bastion. Love this game. Gonna go back for new game+ and/or score attack mode though, trying for the plat. I got the 100%  on 360 when it first released feel compelled to try again. Much harder this time around though. Tried to get most of the trophies in one play thorugh at first, and just cheese through on the NG+, but I started running out of money for the upgrades, oh well. Really don't mind playing this one again.

They really need to get the vita version out. ...somehow with a separate trophy list.

i plan on doing the same. I did the first play then put it on hold due to ass creed hhhhyyyppe.

I stopped by my local GS earlier to get a few of the 4 for $10 games and they had a bunch of craftable Master Chief and Locke masks (I think) for free so I took one of each.  When I got home I was very surprised to see that sitting on top of the Locke mask was a 8 GB Vita card.  Guess it was from a trade-in earlier?

I hope you aren't looking for a sugar daddy.

Trix.

Magicka 2 is sorta like Helldivers with wizards. I enjoyed it.
It had an interesting story mode but I had no urge to even replay it after the first go around. Also Derek got screwed on a trophy as I think you have to be the host to earn the completion trophies.

Is anyone at all interested in these 2xp for Zombies in BO3 codes on the side of my doritos?
If munky hasn't taken them, then yes.

Do you not like crab or rice or something? A California Roll isn't even really sushi.
California rolls is like non alcoholic beer. You can call that shit beer but it ain't beer.

A california roll is rice, crab and avocado I think. It aint like you ate live eel or something.
Unagi is the bees knees. Like glazed fried chicken on rice.

Well how does it work when you're certs are expiring. Most of certs I had were only good for less than 2 months. If I canceled my Fallout 4 preorder, what happens to the certs?

Apparently "major changes" came to Borderlands 2, The Pre-Sequel, and The Handsome Collection earlier today: http://www.dualshockers.com/2015/10/29/gearbox-announces-major-updates-coming-to-borderlands-2-the-pre-sequel-and-handsome-collection/

Borderlands 2
The Borderlands 2 update contains some long-awaited changes including various balance changes and refinements to elemental-based skills (read: Maya buffs), adding The Fastball to Boll’s loot pool, making the legendary drop rate improvements permanent, and more.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

The Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel update contains mostly bug fixes and performance improvements, as well as making the legendary drop rate improvements permanent.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection

The Borderlands: The Handsome Collection update contains all of the above changes to Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, as well as quality-of-life features and bug fixes performance improvements specific to The Handsome Collection. This update also addresses Xbox One specific multiplayer connectivity issues.

I've had "real" sushi and didn't like it at all. I mean raw fish. I don't get it. I thought maybe the fake stuff would be more appealing to me, but no. It's all gag inducing.

It felt good to get rid of the XB1 I had lying around. I got $75 on an eBay GC that I plan on converting to Best Buy credit, some of which I'll possibly use to preorder Fallout 4. We'll see.

Did anyone notice that Volume was on sale ($14, 30% off)? Didn't see it mentioned as part of this week's sale, so maybe it's been this cheap for a little while? I might have to pick it up. Anyone played it?

Edit: It's in Frisky's op, I must've just missed it. It is a pretty genetic title.

Tyler did, and liked it: http://invertedaccess.com/2015/08/26/volume-review/

4/5 diamonds

Volume is a charming, witty, and fun stealth puzzle game. The introduction of new mechanics and enemies keep the game moving forward at an excellent pace and keep the player learning new strategies and perfecting the ones they already know. As with his previous title Thomas Was Alone, Mike Bithell seems more interested in giving players a fun experience with a clever story rather than challenging players with a punishing level of difficulty. Volume is never going to stress your brain, but it will delight it.
I'm going to wait for it to hit Plus. It's practically a guarantee to go there at some point.

Omega Labyrinth trailer #2:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzSi3ASBIlU

It's about a group of girls who go into a dungeon looking for something that can grant wishes. Of course the main character's wish is for bigger boobs.

Happy Friday!

I still need to get the last gang upgrades to plat Ass Creed.  I bought all the extra income upgrades last night and then I realized I could earn money while not playing.  I went to bed last night before doing anything but this morning I turned the game on and left my guy up high on a perch.  I set the PS4 to stay on for 3 hours so I will see what income generated in the safe when I get home.
