Website (or I think it might be many websites now) started by Chris Hardwick some time ago. I never really payed much attention but he always plugged it at the end of The Talking Dead. Searching for Jessica Chobot made me realize that more than a few of the old Tech TV and G4 people seem to have ended up there. It is popular enough in nerd culture that I am surprised that nobody in the thread followed it. Then again, maybe we are just all too busy wasting time in the thread and playing video games.
I used to listen to a bunch of podcasts on the Nerdist network (flagship one and Indoor Kids) and check the website pretty frequently. They do good work.

I picked up the Aqua Blue Vita today @ Gamestop. Gonna get the $30 back come BF week.

ok, what's the trick here to getting the $30 back instead of waiting? knowing the store I've been going to I'm pretty sure I'd have to bring it back unopened. is there some secret price matching trick?

You'll probably have to bring it back unopened, but you're just doing a return-rebuy to get back $30.

I think the price is good on the 24th so it's not that far off. Most of the time I've even just brought my receipt without anything and my Gamestops have given me the difference.

I've been out of the loop for a few months now, is this even any good?
Kinda Funny did a lets play of it. Looks like the lego games, but bigger and with characters from various franchises available. Seems like if you like the lego games, you'll like dimensions.

If it pops up online for that price on BF I'll grab it, but I'm not willing to fight the hordes of abused parents to get to a TRU for this.

As a note, for dimensions if anyone wants the level or extra packs too, those'll be b1g1 40% off at TRU. Better to just grab them at BBY though as they are counted under GCU. It'll be about the same price, minus the any TRU tax, and you get the 2x rewards points for them being gaming items.

If I manage to grab this I'll probably end up with the Doctor Who, Simpsons, Scooby Doo, and Back to the Future packs at some point.

Twilight Princess HD announced with Wolf Link Amiibo.

I already finished Twilight Princess. fuck amiibo.
Wii U or 3ds? I tried to play that game a couple times but never got far because of the wii motion controller...I'd definitely buy and play it with a regular controller.

You used invisible font colors when you typed out Portal in the extra packs your getting. You should fix that.

You never used the Wii classic controller?

So Nintendo's big announcement today is that instead of a new WiiU Zelda like they've promised, they're gonna remake yet another old game, but this time not as old?

They talked about the new one too, but not as much I think. I missed that bit.

Well I mean it's not like it's replacing a new WiiU Zelda. And they announced the new Zelda wouldn't get more info til next year anyway.

Still, their strategy of relying on old games to buy them time while they make the new one is laughable at this point. I mean this is what, the fourth Zelda remake (inlcuding 3DS and WiiU) since Skyward Sword came out?

I know Sony has used GoW and Uncharted remakes to tide the peeps over, but doesn't seem to be that much of a gap between them. Plus they're more economical then the full prices Nintendo is charging.

GOLD MEGA MAN AMIIBO OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And of course it's bundled with a game again. Assholes. They figured out that nobody wants their stupid fucking games but everyone wants their amiibos.

To the Fallout players who may go for platinum in one play through, see if the following makes sense.  Not really any spoilers minus trophy titles.

Brian with PS4 trophies put up a guide, looks confusing at first but then makes sense. You can do each faction up to a specific trophy...

Minuteman can be completed through the Old Guns trophy

Brotherhood through Semper Invicta

Railroad through Trade Craft, then start doing Underground Undercover, but stop when the mission says Continue working for father.

The institue through mass fusion, do not complete mass fusion (Game will tell you are you sure, this will be bad for the brother hood, hit do nothing. Make first save (this will be brotherhood save).

Complete the insitution up to Powerup trophy, once you get it, make a third save file (This is the railroad save).

finish the institution story line and you will get nuclear family.

Reload first new save and complete BOS quests and you will get blind betrayal, ad victorium, and Nuclear option.

Finally reload the third save we created (railroad save) and finish Underground undercover and the railroad missions.

Credit to Brian!

How is it that Dokuro has been out for over 3 years, and no one seems to have thought of the workaround I have for the no damage in Stage 14 trophy? A "stage" is more like a world of 10 similar-themed puzzle levels. If you get stuck on a puzzle you are allowed 10 "skips", you press triangle and select skip and you jump to the next level with the one you skipped being left as incomplete.

Stage 14 is a boss rush in which you face the 5 bosses you have previously fought one after the other, and then a sixth level with a few enemies and the Bishop who has been spawning the bosses in front of you.

If you beat the first level without taking damage, wait for the boss fight to start and select skip for the next 4 levels, and then beat the 6th level without taking damage, you get the trophy. The trick is, once you beat a level you can no longer skip it, so this workaround only helps if you haven't already cleared stage 14.

I had cleared the first two bosses, wondered if this would work, so I beat the first two bosses without taking damage and then skipped to and killed the 6th and it popped. It's probably the most difficult trophy in the game.

Yeah I don't disagree at all. Sony also has the benefit of 3rd party support that Nintendo direly misses during slower periods like basically all of 2015.

fuck dokuro. I can't finish a world without my save file corrupting in that game.
