I'm only quicker because Zimm probably actually works, while I'm just sitting at a lonely bridge checking the Internets for deals and doing xmas shopping.

Yo Gator and other Lego Dimensions wanting peeps,

Cartwheel has a 35% off offer good through the day before Thanksgiving. Makes it $65 before Red Card, or only $5 more than Best Buy's Black Friday price after GCU. Add in RedCard and it's down to $61.75.

So if you don't wanna do crowds or shipping, there ya go.

EDIT: Damnit Vig Crazy (It's too early to read usernames)
I can stack cartwheel and that 10% off wishlist coupon right? Looks like I'll be hitting up target before I head home.

So $40 with GCU...can trade the game for $20 or so week of release...$20 gold amiibo isn't terrible I guess if you really want one.

valkyria chronicles looks boring as hell.  is it boring as hell?

I'm also getting absolutely pummeled trying to play zombie army trilogy solo on sniper elite difficulty.  what in the world am I supposed to do with the machine gun super zombie at the end part of the church in the first level?  the sniper outside keeps taking potshots, I can't clear enough of the regular zombies before he comes in to run upstairs + drop back down to kite him (and he seems quite content to just shoot down/up at me unlike normal, stupider zombies).  anything obvious I'm missing?  like that there's a piano hanging from the ceiling I can shoot and it'll fall on him?

The game is hard as fuck. In summary, your fuck ed trying to play sniper elite solo.

Remember to put the game on 1 player spawns. Even then you need 3 or 4 people. Even with 4 of us there were times we would die and have to restart a checkpoint. The last level is insane if you dont know what to do. Even with 4.

I am still willing to play through it with you and some others.

I picked up Valkaryia Chronicles when it hit PC. Still haven't played it, might have to boot it up to see if I want to grab the remaster right away for tropheez.

that makes me feel a lot better. the beginning of the trophy guide says "just play on sniper elite, it really isn't that hard" and I'm all like ok and I played some coop on sniper elite with some pickup teams and burned through the levels like a boss. so how bad could it be solo?

oh. it's pretty bad. maybe I also suck, but I find some modicum of comfort in the fact that someone else thinks it's hard. I'll go back to coop.

I also played a horde mode map last night and we kept getting decimated in round 8. this is not the sing-songy zombie squishing cakewalk I expected. it's really really fun though.

yeah horde mode is hard as well at the higher rounds. Pancakes, Derek and I had a lot of fun with it. But it definitely requires team work and some strategy to get through.

I can only assume the trophy guide writer thought sniper elite was "not that hard" because he played with a sniper elite squad of 4. Or he is a god at zombie killing... I would think Derek, Pancakes, Tyler and Munky would all agree with me that it aint that easy.

I already have it pre-ordered at Amazon but I'll probably swap to BB once they make shipping free like it should be.

That being said I'll also probably cancel before release unless it ends up impossible to find anywhere.

Yeah solo on sniper elite difficulty would be miserable. Munky and I couldn't get past the 2nd level without the help of a 3rd (and a 4th).

Anyways, for those big ass gun slinging bosses make sure to hit them in the head. No point in peppering their body with damage just get as far back as you can and snipe them in the head. But yeah good luck clearing out all the other zombies first, that's a huge wave at the end of the level.

Basically, don't play the game solo.

Yup, going to return my copy for a refund at looking through that.

Had that feeling from the beta, good enough game but would get old quickly.
You bought it at BB? Maybe wait till you get the 500 points for pre-ordering it and THEN return it? I assume they are doing the extended returns period too?

Return fraud or naw?

I'm hoping best buy will do an early online sale of black friday deals for elite/elite plus on Monday like they've done most years recently. If that doesn't end up happening, I can still get in on this because it lasts until the day before Thanksgiving.

I also bought a bunch of the expansion packs last week since they qualified for the B2G1 video games sale. Chell and the doctor are ready to go!

I saw that in the catalog and had no idea what 'toys to life' meant.
I think it is skylanders, ambios and other action figures you stick on the game pads to do something in game.

Wonder if it works with regular video games. But honestly I have a couple cheap games to pick up at BB and I am good I think.

If I can get this to stack on top of the wishlist coupon and the cartwheel...$$$
We advertise stacking coupons with Cartwheel all the time, so the only question is wether or not you can use two coupons, but I don't see any restrictions limiting it. I'm hoping to run down and lunch and do the stack dance.

Tell me more of this wishlist coupon you speak of
If you download the target kids wish list app, and make a wishlist for your "kid" they'll give you a 10% off coupon for games/toys/etc. I don't know if you have to have the game you want added into the wishlist, but I've been adding them just in case.

Download Kids' Wish List app, create a new wish list (don't actually have to add items to the list), and boom a 10% off coupon appears in the bottom of the app.

you can make the wishlist empty and it still works on whatever.

I FINISHED METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN!!!!

Overall it was a great game (no I didn't 100%). The story was a bit convoluted but that's also the fun of Metal Gear. It just came in weirder chunks this go around. I swear that having played the majority of the Metal Gear games so close together was a god send because I actually was able to follow along with most of the major plot points.

I really enjoyed side op 112, thought it was a nice sendoff. Gameplay wise this game was definitely the best in the series, it was nice to see this evolution take place throughout the game's history. The first chapter of this game was pure bliss, and the 2nd was a bit off maybe because it was rushed to completion? Overall though it didn't hamper the experience. Mission 45 grumble grumble.

I think you could definitely play this game as a 1 off but I highly suggest playing the entire series and without a doubt including Peace Walker in that equation. It's just such a unique series of games and although it's not perfect by any means it's really hard to find anything else like it.

Goodbye Metal Gear, you will be missed.

Well I heard some good news today. Ween is gathering forces of the Boognish and playing 2 shows in CO in Feb. 2016. Damn I need to see if it's possible to travel to catch both shows.

CrazyDiamond I hope this turns into a full tour as I'll catch as many shows as I can. I really miss seeming them live as you're going to get 3+ hours of great music that changes lives.

Guess worshipping the Boognish has paid off.
I'd definitely catch them if they came to Milwaukee. Nothing I'd travel anywhere to see. I'm still going to try to snag one of those Pod vinyls on black Friday.

$10 seems like a lot for the originals. I'd rather they had done the fire red/leaf green versions personally. They're still gonna make a ton on them though, nostalgia is a powerful drug.

True, which is all that nintendo peddles to their fans at this point. Nostalgia only thing keeping them going.

re rev 2 episode 1 is free on xbl today, maybe the same on psn when the store updates.

a cag in the main forum claims that if you can find re rev 2 :ps4: on disc in a redbox you can buy it for $5 or something.  I didn't know that was even a thing.

So nobody has actually played Lego Dimensions yet have they?

I talked to my wife to see what my kid had mentioned about the game to my wife.  He said he wanted it but only if it had story mode.  In other words, if it is like free play on the regular Lego games and doesn't have cut scenes with some overall story he isn't interested (yes, this does make me wonder if my wife slept with the mail man).

I also wonder if the base is PS3 and PS4 compatible.  I know you would need a different disc, but I assume I will be able to find one of those later.  If I can double dip on the game it would make me very happy.

I already have the cartwheel code added and am looking into this wish list thing for stacking purposes.
