I still kind of like that controller.  Yeah the STAR WARS all over the touch pad is dumb but I wouldnt have minded if they just wrote it once in the middle and maybe made it a color or white/grey as well.

Oh yeah. The wife wanted to go to Tom+Chee last night. It was interesting. They're a Tomato Soup + Grilled Cheese place. They were on Shark Tank a while back. The wife got some absolutely disgusting-looking grilled cheese donut thing. It was a donut sliced in half, flipped inside out, and the icing and cheese all melted into a horrendous mess. Gross.

I had the italian. It wasn't bad. No mayo, of course.

I've got one of those near work. Not bad, only been once though. I figure I can just throw a bunch of shit on my grilled cheese when I'm at home with minimal effort.

Good as nothing that is called an Italian should have mayo on it. And mayo isnt needed on grilled cheese either. Those sandwiches look good.

Similar reason why I have not gone to the one here. Grilled cheese and tomato soup are 2 of the things where less is more to me.

Cheapo plain Campbell's condensed tomato soup tastes better to me with grilled cheese than anything else. If I am having soup as an entree Tomato Basil would be more preferable to cheap stuff, but I would not be looking at tomato for a soup as an entree anyway.

Better cheese makes for a better grilled cheese of course, but the more shit you add to it the less I care for it usually (with the only exception being honey baked ham but then I don't consider it grilled cheese anymore anyway).

I don't mind the star wars on the touchpad. It's the rest of the controller that is hideous.

Yeah, once you start adding stuff I start to think of it less as a grilled cheese, and more of a hot sandwich. The pizza ones are good, but that's easy enough at home if you've got pizza/tomato sauce and some pepperoni lying around. And even then I think of it more as a pizza sandwich/sub than a grilled cheese with pepperoni.

Vaguely related, I should have just gone with plain cheap campbell's chicken noodle yesterday instead of the hearty chicken noodle. Dunno if its years of conditioning or what, but the plain stuff tastes so much better than the fancy soup yesterday did.

I like the repeating Star Wars logo on the touchpad, but the rest of the controller color scheme is kinda strange. I get what they were trying but I don't think they nailed it, and instead ended up with a weird mess of a design.

No I didn't get the Darth Vader PS4.

The soup and nyquil diet appears to have worked so far. Passed out around 8:30 from the first dose of nyquil, woke up at 11:30 to eat more soup and a grilled cheese and take more nyquil. Gonna try to hit up Panera for more lunch soup. Will probably drown in soup by the end of this.
Have you considered going to Soup R' Crackers? I hear it's the fastest growing non-poultry, non-coffee franchise in Southern California.

I don't think I can recommend the Telltale Game of Thrones. I was struggling over some of the decisions in this last episode until I realized I just don't give a shit about any of the characters. And they really tried to make some of the decisions count in the last two episodes, but from what I'm reading online about what other people chose none of it ultimately matters, which is hugely disappointing.
Then I guess I made the right decision when I canceled the hold at my library.

The new Mario Tennis apparently sucks. Not surprising, I've never felt like they put much effort into any of their Mario Tennis games, the Golf games usually feel much more fleshed out.

EDIT: Apparently that Amiibo Festival games sucks even worse.

Gamestop is having a Pre-Black Friday sale next week. There's nothing worth mentioning (the deals either suck or are already in the BF ad) aside from this:

SUNDAY AND MONDAY ONLY

There's your confirmation, jkam.

I miss the RPG-ish single-player "campaigns" that the portable versions had. Both Mario Golf and Mario Tennis on Game Boy Color were so much fun.

My wife just sent me a pic of the 5 games we got from the WalMart used game sale recently. They all are in shrink wrap and look brand new. I knew they supposedly only took them if they had the artwork, but I was not expecting that.
The same, were they PS3 games? I wonder if they are not just pulling back all the random PS3 stock they have that they never marked down when in store and are just clearancing it all out mixed in with their preowned stuff. It seems weird that all their preowned stuff would be so immaculate given its Walmart.

I popped into a stream for Amiibo Festival just to see if it was as awful as I thought it would be and it definitely is.

QuByte posted a couple games they're supposedly bringing to Vita next year:

They both look pretty good.

I didn't mind Mario Tennis on 3DS. Sure it was mostly mindless fun with a huge difficulty spike, but I had fun playing it and unlocking costumes and whatnot. I would have liked more rpg-ish fare like I read other titles had.

Is Amiibo Festival some mini-game collection? Sounds like a mini-game collection. And horrible.

No. It was all DS and 3DS games for the kids.

There's some minigames, and a boring looking board game that doesn't appear to include the minigames?

I usually buy these, but doesn't help since I needed to buy something in-store to get the free bluetooth speaker.
I know a couple of BFs ago BB had deals on 3 months of Live memberships. They were out of cards but were able to print them at the video game kiosk. Wonder if they do this for PSN Space bucks. Probably more trouble then it is worth though for a one off physical card purchase.

Anyone here play Tearaway unfolded? On sale today and tomorrow at GS for $19.99 (PUR coupon required).

I enjoyed it on Vita a couple years ago.
I think I am the only one. For the most part, it is the same game. It is a pretty tedious platinum due to all the collectibles and the annoying addition of gopher escort missions. I thought I would like this one more since the rear touch stuff was what annoyed me before.

If you really liked the Vita version you will probably like it.

Might swing by the Gamestop by my house tomorrow if they still have it then.

:D/ Sweet, only have a few games to trade-in but nice!

Some people seem to think PS2 Classics support is coming to PS4, though to me it sounds like a good amount of mental gymnastics are going on there:

Nintendo is biding there time until the NX launch. Sure there's a handful of games coming that are good\great I'm sure but they really need to be ramping up for the new hotness if it is indeed launching next year. I keep saying it but Nintendo needs to build up their development staff. They should have more studios. I don't know how many they currently run but it seems like Sony has at least triple the manpower throughout the different 1st party studios. I understand they strive for quality but it's been largely apparent to me it's declined over the past few years, they put out way more fluff crap then they ever have in the past.
