I'm loving Fallout, but it feels like diminishing returns. I don't know why, but FO3 and New Vegas seem way superior to me. Maybe the DLC/mod support will fix this.
How far are you into it?

They didnt really change or add a ton of stuff from the previous games, doesnt feel like they advanced the gameplay etc much. I still love it, as I like discovering new things and how you organically get new quests and stuff.

I do like how they have tied some stuff from FO3 into this one with the brotherhood story line.

Just got a msg from carthweel about this 10 percent off videogames and electronics.

Anything good on sale worth getting? Would be 15 off for me with the red card.

JC3 escort missions and long load times OH NO! Well I have a copy on the way so guess I'll at least give it a shot anyway.

Trade that shit in to GameStop. Maybe the one near my job.

There are somehow already five copies within 100 miles of me, so it's probably real. Maybe they're from the CEs that some people got early?
I put a hold in just in case the actually have it.

Assuming the 20% B-day coupon comes off the $49.49 price that would leave me $39.59 to pay. Can I use a $25 and $15 for a total of $40 (loosing the 41 cents) or will it not work since I am not using the whole coupon?

Supposed a GS 10 miles from me has jc3 used already? Wonder if that is real or not?

For every major title there are always copies traded in the same day of release. The average bro gamer/children are pretty impulsive on top of not being very fiscally responsible.

That will work, just did something similar.

I'm not sure, but I think it will still work.

EDIT: Mild'd

And they keep Gamestop in business so others can take advantage of the rare moments when you can get a decent deal from them.

There's still a valid b-day coupon? Oh maybe it was your birthday. Happy Birthday. I'd be surprised if they would let you stack the other two coupons though. Mine never let me stack em.

A couple months ago.

If they don't let me use the 20% off I have a $25, $15 and $5 which supposedly is permitted. Either way is fine. I end up with either a $5 one or a 20% off that both expire at the end of the month.

It isn't a standard coupon but one he bought with points (I think). That is different.

If it's permitted I need to start knocking some GS employees the fuck out.

Supposed to be PS2 version via emulation, right? With added trophies.

The PS2 emulator with trophies is for the PS4, and nothing has been officially announced for that yet. This is only for PS3 and is something different entirely.

The 360 re-release with achievements was the iOS version, and it's shitty.

So is the Powerpyx guy over on PST some insider?  How else does he have guides for collectables and challenges within a day or two of release of every major game?

When you are that popular on Youtube you can get games from the big guys early. Same reason why the PSTrophies guy gets stuff early. The publishers know those guide guys help them with sales.

Okay that explains finishing the game early, but what about when he finds all the collectables for games? How early does he get these games? And I find it hard to believe anyone can find all the collectables in games like GTA5 on their own. Using that as an example, but pretty sure he did one for that game too. He must get some info from the publishers and devs too right?

I am not caught up on the thread so I don't know what everyone else is saying about it, but I want to say Just Cause 3 is worst game ever.  Ok, not really, but it has not made a great first impression on me.

Took forever to install (like get to actually play the game install, not just allows you to start it up install) (also day 1 patch)

2 minutes in, it told me to help out Mario.  I grappled up to where he was and it did an animation like I was climbing up a ledge, but it was actually really sloped and I immediately fell back down.  Getting up there must've triggered the bad guys to start doing stuff though, so Mario died after a couple seconds before I could get back up there and the mission failed.

Super long loading screen.

Redid that part, then Mario told me to drive somewhere.  We get to a roadblock and Mario tells me not to stop.  I try driving through it and the truck I'm driving flips for some reason.  As soon as it lands on its roof, Mario dies and the mission failed.

Super long loading screen.

Redid that part, then Mario told me to fly a helicopter somewhere.  Got to the location and tried landing the chopper on a bad guy's head.  It hit the ground and bounced hard out of my control directly into a gas tank or something else explosive.  Chopper blows up and I die still in it and the mission failed.

Extra super long loading screen.

Finally did all the stuff I was supposed to do.

Aren't games supposed to make the tutorial/learn-the-controls-of-the-game levels really hard to screw up?  Obviously I'm a moron, but still.

wren I hope you're planning on streaming jc3 today to help us working stiffs pass the time.

also, ubi has finally resorted to bundles - they've added 'ubi art bundles' for each console, 3 games for $30 (ps3) / $40 (ps4/vita).

This all sounds hilarious, though.
