that does actually sound pretty funny except the agonizing loading screens.  broken games can be more fun than polished games sometimes.  I'm sure you'll be tethering cows to a helicopter and flying it in to a gas station before you know it.

I am not caught up on the thread so I don't know what everyone else is saying about it, but I want to say Just Cause 3 is worst game ever. Ok, not really, but it has not made a great first impression on me.

<snip>

Aren't games supposed to make the tutorial/learn-the-controls-of-the-game levels really hard to screw up? Obviously I'm a moron, but still.
I remember not really liking Just Cause 2 at the very beginning but I do not remember it being as frustrating as this sounds.

This all sounds hilarious, though.
I dontg mind glitches and stuff randomly happening but the long load times are what scares me. I have quit many games because of load times. Though none of them were excellent games so I am sure I wont qwuit this one. Blowing shit up will override my disdain. But I dont get it. They didnt have load time issues on PS2. They should have scaled shit back to not have long load times. GTA games are so great because they NEVER LOAD after the opening.

Took forever to install (like get to actually play the game install, not just allows you to start it up install) (also day 1 patch)
2 minutes in, it told me to help out Mario. I grappled up to where he was and it did an animation like I was climbing up a ledge, but it was actually really sloped and I immediately fell back down. Getting up there must've triggered the bad guys to start doing stuff though, so Mario died after a couple seconds before I could get back up there and the mission failed.
Super long loading screen.
Redid that part, then Mario told me to drive somewhere. We get to a roadblock and Mario tells me not to stop. I try driving through it and the truck I'm driving flips for some reason. As soon as it lands on its roof, Mario dies and the mission failed.
Super long loading screen.
Redid that part, then Mario told me to fly a helicopter somewhere. Got to the location and tried landing the chopper on a bad guy's head. It hit the ground and bounced hard out of my control directly into a gas tank or something else explosive. Chopper blows up and I die still in it and the mission failed.
Extra super long loading screen.
Finally did all the stuff I was supposed to do.

Haha, the helicopter didn't even show up for me at first. Had to die and reload to get it to spawn.

Okay that explains finishing the game early, but what about when he finds all the collectables for games? How early does he get these games? And I find it hard to believe anyone can find all the collectables in games like GTA5 on their own. Using that as an example, but pretty sure he did one for that game too. He must get some info from the publishers and devs too right?
Not really sure how all that works in terms of inside info. I always wondered the same about the strategy guide writers.

The December Plus games are all free now, though I can't find Blood Dragon anywhere aside from its demo listing.

EDIT: MIIIIIIIIIILD'D

the first segment of jc2 is the whole reason I haven't continued playing it despite everyone's praises. I think there was some section where I had to go up a pair of towers and the controls felt like I was trying to control one of those wacky lawn sprinklers. then I finally finished the first set of missions and the island opened up or whatever and I was messing around a bit and a jeep full of bad dudes came out of nowhere while I was standing next to something explosive and just started shooting. that's when I realized I needed to reset my expectations of the game and come back to it later.

chivalry medieval warfare $20 - https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/chivalry-medieval-warfare/cid=UP0002-CUSA02740_00-CHIVALRY15PS4001

there's a couple kinda funny pictures in the listing, I don't know what this game is.
It's like Counter-strike, except it's set in the Medieval Ages. In that it's a multiplayer only game (there is a brief single player tutorial mode i believe) with teams of competing knights and a fairly deep melee / projectile system, different classes, and different competitive game modes.

Yeah, it took me a while to get used to before I started to enjoy it. Then I really loved it. At about 73% completion I started hating it. About a week after getting 75% and the plat I realized it was a great game but just grindy.

Capcom registered the Onimusha trademark in Japan for re-use: http://www.destructoid.com/this-is-not-a-drill-capcom-trademarks-onimusha-in-japan-323508.phtml

This might mean nothing (e.g., some mobile game) or it might mean everything (e.g., an HD remaster of one or more of the games :whee:).
fuck mobile. I wouldn't mind a remaster or completely new game. Onimusha and Red Faction were the first two PS2 games I bought with my console and loved them. I remember selling my old consoles and saving up lunch money which was just enough to cover a PS2 and 2 Greatest Hits titles. Actually, it was the same scenario with Xbox. Got the green Halo bundle and bought KOTOR and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. Good times!

Nah, in store doesn't really have any control over what pricing your online orders are made at. The most you could do is cancel, then pick them up at store pricing, but that would ring up at the regular pricing (minus the free game) instead of the black friday or cyber monday prices.
Definitely not, and wouldn't their prices auto-adjust to the regular prices since they would likely no longer be on sale at that point (assuming you didn't already pay for them)?
They won't increase Vig.

Store Pickup and our Price Match Guarantee

If your product is available at a lower price in the store at the time you pick it up, your original form of payment will be automatically adjusted to reflect the lower price. Some exclusions apply.

I did order something once and, before I picked it up, the price had dropped. When I went to the store to pick it up, the price had automatically adjusted to the lower price. Either way, it can't hurt to wait and see what happens.

Battle of Jakku is out for anyone who hasnt traded in Battlefront yet. Ended up trading it when I picked up RB6 just in case the TIV drops with the B2G1 coming up.

Ya 1.9 GB blood dragon demo + 1.7 gunslinger = 3.6 which is close enough to the 3.7 GB for the combo pack. Maybe for simplicity they pulled that version and are going to put a new version on the store that doesn't require buying the unlock key to make it easier to get it for PS+.

edit: which looks like what they did.

I was able to get through the game so it isn't all that hard. I bail on overly frustrating games. Busted up a few too many 360 controllers.

Someone mentioned that the King's Quest extra epilogue chapter is only available in the colllection, and downloading the first chapter prevents you from going back and buying the full collection. Might be of interest to some of you.

Edit: You can still get the complete collection. Don't listen to me.

Another reason why getting only the first fucking chapter of a game as a PS+ addition is a dumb idea.

I've already played the first chapter on PC. It's nothing special. A little bit longer than a Telltale chapter, at least.

You can still add the bundle to your cart and purchase after "purchasing" ep1, you just have to click "choose a version" on the store page.

So weird thing, I bought Big Fest (shut up dad you don't know) and it went through all fine and dandy, but when I clicked the download link on the checkout page, it didn't get added to my queue.  I went to the download list on the web and there's no download link listed.  Went to the store on the Vita and it doesn't appear in my download list.  Went back to web store and the game page, and a download link is there, but again it doesn't add it to my queue.

I probably just devolved into Frisky thread territory but I want to play this on the bus on the way home so I don't have to rub monster card girls to love climax or whateverfuck and my fingers needed the exercise of typing this big long rant anyway so there.

Sometime it takes time for it to get added to your download list, particularly on PS+ game day when everyone is buying the PS+ games for free.

Is Lego Pirates worth $5?

With the rare Disney sale this probably would have been a decent week for Matt to be alive for the GS group . RIP, GS buddy.
