Absolutley if you havent played it. I am thinking of buying it if I find it that cheap and I already beat the PS3 version. I really enjoyed it. But didnt you just say you thought the new one on X1 was just okay? If so, it wont blow your mind since they are similar.
How do you know this? Are you hiding something important, Wren???

LOL at the people in the comments saying "Those poor boys had their innocence taken." They were 17, not 10 or 11.

And even more stupid is the comment saying "Now they think that any female will give them whatever they want." How the fuck is that teacher sleeping with them different than some girl the same age as the boys letting them stick their dick in her?
Yeah its just dumb. A 17 year old is no different from a 21 year old. Hell, I am told we men never grow up and act like children even at my age! So all women are child molesters I guess?

I thought I was gonna be the thread therm today, but I get in here and he's therm'ing it up like crazy! No way I can top that!

Anyways, a couple brief Star Wars 7 thoughts. NOT KIDDING. DO NOT HAPHAZARDLY CLICK IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE BUT WANT TO

It was alright. I think I probably let the positive reviews hype me up too much. There's definitely issues with the movie.

One being, didn't anyone else think the movie felt like a retelling or even an actual remake of A New Hope? So many similarities, like way more than just "homages".

Also, that Kylo Ren actor was lame. Few guys (myself included) couldn't help but laugh when he took off the mask for the first time. Anybody else have that in their audiences?

ALSO SPOILERS:

oh yeah, it was definitely the same thing. not necessarily a bad thing, I still really enjoyed it, but obviously they stuck JJ in a room with the original for a year and said "MAKE THIS SAME fuckING THING. SCENE FOR SCENE IF POSSIBLE." And then let him remake the same scenes every 10-15 minutes so no one would forget how awesome the original was.

And yes, I was the one laughing their ass off when Ren took off his hat. Might have loudly said "OH GOD PUT IT BACK ON!" Seriously a disappointing dude for being the badguy. I hadn't looked at the actors much (except for Finn and ...the girl... who were unavoidable) and I really wish they had gone with someone else.

These sentences are so fucking funny.

After the first two Star Trek movies I'm not sure why anybody expected JJ to come up with original material. Both of those were revisits to previously-established material.

More Star Wars 7 Spoilers:

That's hilarious. That's probably exactly what they did to JJ. Like I said, the movie was fine, it just has no real identity since it's just so fucking similar to Episode 4.

Is there only one picture of that Haeli Wey chick floating around the internet??!?! None of those Texas news stations were able to dig up her Facebook???

MORE STAR WARS 7 STUFF DON'T CLICK YOU NON SEEING-HEATHENS.  Seriously

I wish Kylo kept the mask on the whole time, but I get why he had to take it off, so they could show the emotion on his face during the dad battle where you think he's feeling pity and turning good, to the cold unfeeling stare when he goes through with the stabby stab.

I enjoyed it though.  I didn't see it as close to New Hope as you guys did though.  Obviously the Jakku/Tatooine paralells and the BB8/R2 10x as big deathstar planet thing are the main things.  But the ending on a cliff hanger (literaly ha!) and the mystery surrounding why Rey has all these force powers and fix-it powers, to name a few, make it different enough that I'm not gonna use the remake label.

I look forward to seeing it again next week.

Also, everyone thinks Rey's dad is
Luke
right?  That's what I gathered.  Though seems almost too obvious.  Especially after everyone thought Han was her Dad.

Kilik, I just realized my 8000 trophy was some shitty "multi player" trophy for Far Cry 4 and not from Just Cause.  It isnt really even an MP trophy as its something you get by playing a user generated map with bots.

Thanks a lot George!

I tried googling her and all I could find was really bad mug shots of uglier women. So I went to my trusty archive of porn to find a look-alike. Winning!

Don't blame me we haven't even played the co-op yet! That's pure 100% pharm.

Just delete some low trophy games until you get a Just Cause trophy at 8000.

You know whos to blame for the female teachers getting in trouble for terrorizing those poor innocent boys with the sex?

Moms.

Dad hears about that, its high five, go get em son.

Mom hears about, oh no my baby boy, that bitch took his innocence!!!

Moms just screw up stuff.

My god will people shut up about Fireball at some point?  I get that its good but holy shit its just cinnamon flavored.  It isnt the holy grail of liquor!  Everyone is drinking fireball everywhere all the time.

MORE STAR WARS 7 STUFF

Rey's dad is definitely Luke, unless it's an intentional misdirection. I thought they were going to reveal it right there at the end of ep 7, it's pretty clear at this point.

I thought they'd have him him say "Daughter" all unnaturally instead of just saying her name. Like how Han and Leia ham-fisted "MY SON" "OUR SON" "GO GET OUR SON!" about 3 or 4 times, incase you somehow missed it the first time Han announced it.

The cinnamon hotness masks the alcohol flavor. I love it.

Does that stuff taste good? And yeah I don't really care for the taste of Jager too much, but it gets the job done.
Hell yes. Fireball is awesome.

So....whose Cojiro?
My new drinking partner apparently.

MORE SPOILERS DON'T CLICK LESSER NERDS

I wouldn't dub it a full on remake, but it's very clear they wanted to parallel a new hope very closely. Both for story and nostalgia reasons. Star Wars has been set up at this point to be one of those "history repeats itself" kind of stories, and they definitely used the basic plot line, and a lot of cinematography tricks to pull that off. I still really enjoyed it as a stand alone, despite some problems.

And yeah, Rey is definitely a skywalker at this point. And in my heart I want her to be a twin (younger sibling is vaguely acceptable) and have gotten Obi Wan'd and kidnapped by looney uncle luke and seperated a kid and dropped off on a desert planet because of vader-brother. Because extended universe twinsies.

Luke-papa is definitely more likely though. There's a lot of tom foolery that would have to go into separating another set of skywalker babies at this point.

Yeah Gator is mad at me too, because one of you dummies is bound to fuck up a spoiler tag if we keep talking about it.
Full disclosure almost messed it up the first time, but I hit preview on posts before posting actual spoilers because who wants to be the ass that fucks up a spoiler tag?
