probably be picked clean by the time most of you get up, but gohastings has 50% off used games $29.99 or less with code dealoftheday. some good stuff to be had if it's in stock. shipping is crap, but still decent with the current prices. got dmc ps4, black flag ps4, mortal kombat vita, and lego lotr vita(finally!) for $27 shipped.

I managed to grab some Nuka Cola Quantum with the Target restock today. Glad they did that and a big
8dZZTx6.gif

to everyone who paid $90 for a bottle on ebay.
The Brickseeker said we didn't get a restock anywhere in the city. I stopped by Target to confirm and the website was right. I'm done with it now. It's probably better to not have a soda bottle on my shelf.

After finishing Jessica Jones I wasn't sure what to watch next on Netflix. Last night I started Broadchurch which also has David Tennant. It's about a boy who is murdered in a small coastal town where only minor crimes happen. The murder rocks the town.

I watched 2 out of 8 episodes in the season and it's been interesting. Everyone has their secrets and is a suspect. I'll probably finish the season over the weekend. There's a 2nd 8 episode season on there too but I'm not sure if it's a different case or what.

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday dear jkam, Happy Birthday to me!

So yesterday on my day off I finished Mordor's Lord Of The Hunt DLC, played through a level in Lego Marvel with my son, played some Star Wars Battlefront, and got to the 17th out of 36 main missions in Batman Arkham Knight. Yeah I'd say it was a productive day! Woohoo!

Star Wars today at 2. Excite!

haha jkam and therm have the same birthday

by the way therm, the under night plat has some pain in the ass trophies. I dunno about 2/10 but it's probably close except a couple combo challenges.

Ours didnt have them in yesterday but I checked and it saod they had 48 on the way as of today so I dont know when theyll have them.

How's the game? I don't know anything about the story--fun going through the different character stuff?
So far so good. Got completely bodied online. ok variety but I was really hoping for something more darkstalkersish. I guess it's kinda close. it took me all of 5 seconds of dialog in arcade to start skipping it so I don't know anything about the story.

Amazon has a promo for a free code to get a digital copy of Kung Fu Panda in HD.

When you purchase any other Movie, TV show or TV episode on Amazon Video you will get an email with a code to redeem for a free, digital HD copy of "Kung Fu Panda"

However, I pre-ordered the Force Awakens Blu Ray and the promo showed up in my email.
Thanks for pointing this out. I saw the email in the inbox and thought it was just another one of those $1 MP3 credit emails.

For Gohastings' sale, there was nothing on PS4 that I really wanted or didn't already own, so I settled on Silent Hill HD Collection + DBZ Budokai HD Collection on PS3 for $15.56 after shipping (no tax).

I know, I know--that first collection supposedly sucks, but my library doesn't carry either of those, their used prices at Gamestop are too high ($29.99), and I can trade them in to GS when I'm done ($8 base for SH HD, $10 base for DBZ HD).

Is Sony the best brand to go with if looking for a new Blu-ray player? I don't need one with fancy Netflix/streaming/whatever, just something that can play Blu-rays well (my current one is years old, probably from the first batch of Blu-ray players released).

I was considering this one because it looks like it isn't too old a model and gets the job done.

Eurogamer did a digital foundry analysis of Gravity Rush remastered, and it sounds really good.

The good news is that many of the Vita-specific features translate very well onto PlayStation 4 and in many ways, Bluepoint's extensive graphical upgrade is even more dramatic than its work in the Nathan Drake Collection. The majority of the core artwork is substantially enhanced, with enormous increases to the detail level of the original assets - both in terms of texture work and geometry.
Overall, the visual enhancements here are quite remarkable - Bluepoint has managed to turn a handheld game that's almost four years old into a beautifully stylised, rejuvenated PlayStation 4 title.

The good news is that Gravity Rush also holds up from a gameplay perspective too - and the Dual Shock 4 hardware has the appropriate features to capture all of the handheld original's control features.
In some aspects, Gravity Rush Remastered is an even more impressive achievement than Uncharted: the Nathan Drake Collection. Naughty Dog's original PS3 games were designed to look great on a modern HDTV, while the display target for Gravity Rush was considerably less ambitious. To bring the game to PS4 and for it to work this well is a considerable achievement, and in Bluepoint Games, Sony clearly chose the right team for the job.

With its native 1080p presentation, reworked assets, higher resolution effects and 60fps gameplay, Gravity Rush is reinvigorated for PlayStation 4. On top of that, the unique gameplay features of the original translate well to the Dual Shock 4 controller, and this keeps the experience feeling authentic - despite running on a completely different hardware platform. Gravity Rush is a great PlayStation 4 conversion that should go down well with existing fans of the game, while providing a great jumping-on point for those new to the title.

Nice prompt with the Silent Hill collection. I grabbed that too, as well as Xmen Origins: Wolverine, Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don't Know!, and Korra 3DS. Total was $21.88 before the usual shitty GoHastings shipping fees ($9.12.) Their shipping always does so much to hurt the deal, but these particular games were discounted enough plus the 50% off on top made it still worthwhile.
Wife and I were planning to wrap up Christmas shopping today but there is a gas leak impacting downtown and the Target plaza. Yikes!
We were supposed to go out too. But I woke up feeling pretty crappy. Still might run out a little while later.

Xbox sent me a year in review thing based on my stats.  It says I spent 313 hours gaming, unlocked 84 achievements, and added 1304 to my gamerscore.  My gaming hours put me in the top 25%, my achievements put me in the top 10%, and my GS puts me in the top 10%.  I think that sounds pretty shitty for MS because I only played a handful of games on the 360, Xbone, and PC this year and to be in those tiers makes me think they have some pretty big issues besides Xbone sales that all of their Gold subscription numbers are covering up.  TrueAchievements shows 12 games for those trophies.

In comparison, according to TrueTrophies, I unlocked 1322 trophies in 91 games.

Gaming Update!

 • Dragon Fin Soup: It's getting pretty tedious and I think I'm on the verge of quitting. It's just hack/slash/loot. None of the merchants ever seem to offer anything better for sale, so you're on your own for upgrades. The crafting system is crap. If there was any story progression or point to playing through all these similiar bland dungeons I might continue.
 • Stealth Inc 2: I like this one better than the 1st thanks to more story and exploration elements.
 • Atelier Meremu: Entertaining, but all the running back and forth to collect alchemey ingredients is getting a little tiresome. I still like this series and it makes for a nice change of pace from the usual rpg.
 • La Mulana 2: I can't figure out how to get over to one side of the Temple of Moonlight to scan this one random item in order to raise 4 boxes for the Fruit of Eden. (even with a guide/faq/wiki this game is unfathomable)
 • Protoype 2: I'm playing PS3 again!  Completed a few more issues, and I love how the enemy doesn't notice me at all in my Heller form or just stops looking when you shapeshift after an alert.
I forget what else I'm playing. AC: Liberation? Don't remember playing it last week. Started Rollers of the Realm again, got past a few more levels.

The email is not accurate, lots of people in the XBL thread have been talking about that as well. Mine said the most played game was Witcher 2 which isn't even close to correct.
