There's an extended holiday return period currently active (and I think it was active at the time of FO4's release?), and you're allowed post-purchase price adjustments if requested within the return period.
I'll have to see if I can do this on Star Wars Battlefront as well which is supposedly ringing up at $39.99.

From BB website:

Purchases made between November 1, 2015, and December 31, 2015, have an extended return period through January 15, 2016.

Hopefully I still have my receipt! Would a BB.com printout work? I bought it for in store pickup.

I had a weird one, all I can remember of it though was that a character in the dream was played by this actress who was on Dexter and a few other shows.

c9e292a3c0df524fab9c463d0ec86362.jpg

She was human sized, but the lower half was chicken-like and she lamented that they didn't sell any slacks with short enough pant legs and wide enough waist band.
Liza is great. I don't even remember what the first thing i saw her in was but I've been a fan ever since. She's adorable.

What was the general consensus on Curses and Chaos again? Worth $5?
5 is the max I'd suggest paying for it. Pretty fun old school beat em up, but I got bored with it pretty quick. I wasn't particularly great at it and trophies were out of my skill zone. Not a bad game, just not the best. Better games in the genre out there imo.

If you used mybb then its on there, no need for receipt.

Here's some Anarchy Reigns gameplay:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L21Fq0Y3M3s

And the trophy guide: http://psnprofiles.com/guide/2806-ANARCHY-REIGNS-Trophy-Guide

~25 hours and 2 playthroughs, it says. Anybody actually play this? I know nothing about it.
Anarchy Reigns is pretty blah, definitely Platinum's worst game of last generation.

It's more of a beat em up game then an action game, meaning the combat is a lot less refined and is more basic. It's meant to be played with multiple people online, single player gets dull pretty quick. Some of the characters are pretty cool.

Manhunt on for that affulenza teen and his mom. Apparently they're both missing. Mom disappeared over the weekend after the kid missed his probation meeting, and that beerpong video came out.

Everything I read about this family makes them sounds like huge white trash. Where did they get all their money for the affluenza defense to work?

This is the UC4 trailer shown in front of some theaters playing The Force Awakens this past weekend:

Not bad for a CG trailer, but if you didn't see it in a theater, you didn't miss much.

Thanks. I'll hold off and wait for a better sale and/or Plus then. I got plenty of other stuff to occupy my time.

Games with Gold for January:

Killer Instinct Season 1

Zheroes

Dirt Showdown

Deus Ex Human Revolution

Not too bad. No idea what Zheroes is. And I swear they get a ton of racing games on GwG, I'm glad we don't get very many.

I second this

I just had an idea zimm. Every time you think of buying a game like this and decide not to, set that money aside. You'd have a PS4 in no time.

I don't like how this settlement trophy seems to take that much time on its own, because I'd much rather work on it for 30-45 minutes, then keep wandering around doing whatever.

The settlement stuff in FO4 is definitely what's keeping it from being the best thing ever in my eyes.
I absolutely adore the settlement stuff. Not as much as the actual game, but almost. It makes me feel more easily connected to the world and gives a worthwhile reason for me to go out and scavenge. I've literally spent close to 15 hours alone just building from the ground up in a settlement and intend to get back to it soon now that my supplies have been building up. Its like Minecraft with a real game underneath, and god knows my buddy and I spent like 80+ hours buliding elaborate fortresses and mining for days in that game.

I can absolutely see how someone could dislike it if they were only concerned with the trophy though. Its really not worth 2+ hours of trouble if thats all you're getting out of it. Thats 2 hours you could be killing and being killed in the Commonwealth!

Only worth it for coop, imo.

This doesn't surprise me at all--as soon as I first saw Workshop Mode, I thought of Minecraft. The fact that it doesn't seem as much fun to me (more power to you for enjoying it so much) probably means I wouldn't like Minecraft as much as some of you.

Settlement stuff is not bad, its a fun little diversion, its just a dumb trophy that you have to actively try and get it and instead of getting it organically. Prolly get it eventually if you didnt go for it specifically, but not that bad to just go for it to be done with it.

Fallout 4 still BEST EVAR
I was thinking about this last night and it occurred to me that they will probably have dlc eventually that makes this easier.

The one major leg up Minecraft has on this is coop. Its fun building different things in a world with a friend and then checking each others work out when you're done, or especially working together on one project. We had a massive fortress that started out as a hole we carved in a mountain. By the mountain was gone, any resemblance completely erased and the fortress was twice as big with corridors and rooms galore. We also had a working underground mine cart system snaking through the entirety of the map (last gen map sizes had limits) to all the major points and settlements we created across the world. It was glorious. If Fallout had coop I would never need another game again. Having a buddy drop in and then scaling the enemies the same way Borderlands does (or even more so)would be fantastic

We also killed the EnderDragon and shit but really who cares about that? :whistle2:

Anybody else watch The Revenant yet? Holy shit that is an incredible flick and everybody needs to see it. I hate myself for not having the patience to wait for the theater but good Lord, I'll be going to see this shit in the theater after seeing the screener. Screener season is the absolute shit.

Anarchy Reigns has been around $5 pre-owned at gamestop for awhile ($4.49 right now). Just missed the 3 for 2 deal on preowned but it will probably come back around again before too long.

I didn't even realize there was a BR release (and Criterion to boot) of Watership Down. Looks like I have someone's Christmas present already picked out.
If you lollygagged on picking this up, its $20 at BB and amazon matched it as well. If you have prime you can still get it before Christmas.

Apparently there are already 80 fan-fiction stories for (not really a Star Wars spoiler but just in case)
Finn & Poe
as a couple.  The force is strong or some shit.

Stopped at a pizza place and while we wait I decided to have a beer. Jai Alai because its the highest octane stuff here.

Sorry gator but its terrible. So hard to drink ipas first. But ill take it for the 7.7%!

I wouldn't mind getting Dirt Showdown, though. Wouldn't want to buy it, but getting it free would be cool.

Too bad there isn't a way to turn wasted geek hours into something useful.

EDIT: Just in case, playing video games is serious business not wasted time.

I think I finally have the right mix of deli meat options at Publix to come as close as you can to a Grinder.  The Publix Capicola is actually better than the Boar's Head and surprisingly the Publix hard salami option seems to be closer to what Which Wich uses versus the BH too.  The BH sandwich pepperoni seems to be the way to go though.

I will be having them for lunch all week.  Quite possibly including Giftmas because all the CAG math from the thread apparently fucked with my head and I bought way more than I really needed for just the next 3 days.

Maybe the wife will decide to make spaghetti this week and I can try the meatball variation.

yeah. I must have been drunk.
I think it is a good beer, but I prefer a lot of IPAs over Jai Alai. We rarely get it, but sometimes I even pass on it when we do since we do get some better options.

Humidor Jai Alai (aged with cedar wood spirals) or White Oak Jai Alai are very unique and I really enjoy them. The flavors from the wood change it a lot. I would never walk past those in the store but of course we do not get any of it here at all.

Another thing about Sweetwater IPA that I forgot to mention, and this may be heresy(I'm not sure), is that it seems to be way less bitter when drank from the bottle. I preferred it that way as opposed to pouring into a glass.
The reason for that is that when you smell the hops it enhances the flavor of them. You can't smell much of anything drinking it out of a long neck. Many people will claim they can't understand why people like draft beer. What they don't realize is that they do not like the aroma and the added "taste" that comes from it.

So am I "doing it wrong"?

Boar's Head pep is awesome.

If you enjoy it that way, no. There will still be flavors you will get that other options available to you won't have. However, it is not the best way to truly taste the beer.

You will likely find if you do enjoy it that way that after time it may not be as interesting. If you get to that point, try another one out of a glass.

Gator I never pay extra for the boars head at Publix. I always get their Publix meats. Just as good for less.

Also I get the draft beer thing. The love draft for beers I enjoy. Bottles suck for flavor. Always get draft

Some of them are worth it. I was surprised that was not the case for the Capicola and that I actually preferred Publix. The cured meats like that are usually where the biggest difference is (prosciutto being the shining example where the BH is sooo much better). This store did not even have a Publix pepperoni option. I am glad they didn't since the BH was worth the difference to me.
