I am suddenly wishing I was in Decatur.

However, this isn't Santa's Milk & Cookies. This is New Holland Dragons Milk poured 4 ways along with Brick Store house made bacon, walnut and chocolate chip cookies.

Poured as a flight, we will be pouring Original, raspberry, chili pepper and chocolate/coffee versions of Dragons Milk along with a couple of the most delicious cookies you've ever had. Tis the season to be decadent!!

You seem to be the only one in the thread that likes hoppies but not malties. Plenty of the reverse and many who seem to like either. At least, I do not recall you ever liking a big barleywine or Russian Imperial. I think you did like Darkness, but that is so damn hoppy it doesnt really fit the IRS style.

 
uh oh Simmias.  Your boys have a thug from the practice squad come out during pregame with a baseball bat to intimidate and the Giants took video of it.  Apparently this isnt the first time they did this either.  Despicable.

I can't tell if you guys are talking about jrpg's or beer.

I can't decide if I should buy this Mordor GOTY for $20 or not. I played it on PS3 for about 2 hours and didn't really get into it like I thought I would. Also wondering if I would like Mad Max.

Yeah I'm definitely curious how much that had to do with it. I don't recall there being any issues though. The only thing I can remember is I killed a bunch of low level bosses and they always got replaced and I had so many of them chasing me. I couldn't really get a grasp of what I was expected to do besides staying alive.

Doesnt excuse what Beckham did at alll. Which is what I said. But now I know a little more about why he went nuts. The Panthers are trying to be bullies and might get some of it back at them in a bad way. They ought to be fined as an organization for instigating the incident.

I had Summit's barleywine this weekend and that was OK. Also had the Saturn one from Bells. Both a little too boozy for my taste, but decent enough. Nothing I'd want a full pint/bottle of though.

Not a huge fan of Imperials/Stouts either, but there have been a few here and there I enjoy, like the Short Circuit Stout at Tin Whiskers and the Polish Moon milk stout at Milwaukee Brewing.

Contrasting to the lady companion who usually likes it thick and dark.

The other team just needs a the gun to represent something and then they can carry them around? I think it's a silly thing on both sides. Stop with the bats, stop with the headhunting. Control your emotions and just play football.

I think Beckham is just trying anything to save face. This whole bat things seems stupid to me. I have not seen anything that leads me to believe he was being threatened with the bat. How stupid do you have to be to assume someone is actually going to be using a bat to attack you on a football field?

Is it stupid the dude was walking around with it? Sure. Beckham is just looking for anything to try to look better in this situation and to me is just making himself look worse. The only player I saw trying to injure someone else was him.

You really think that Beckham thought a player was going to beat him with a baseball bat on an NFL field? Like that horrible Last Boy Scout movie where the player was running down the field, pulled out a gun, and shot all the players in his way?

Last-gen Shadow of Mordor supposedly stripped out quite a bit, including the Nemesis system which made it so fun to play on PS4.

Exactly. I thought the same thing, the bats didn't threaten Beckham. However I don't think it's a good idea...who the fuck thought this was a good idea???? Anyway Beckham is definitely using it as an excuse, he didn't feel threatened. He only felt challenged and obviously he wasn't up to the task. But this is what we get with these athletes, they love to disrespect but can't handle being disrespected. It's why guys like me wish they would get rid of all the nonsense showboating and celebrating because we have to deal with all of these thin-skinned athletes retaliating.

Browns, ambers, and a host of German styles (alts, bocks, doppelbocks) that might be harder to find since they are not as popular here.

The browns and ambers are often hoppy now if made in the US, so those are not even the best example. Some barleywines are American style too. Sierra Nevada Bigfoot tastes more like a Double IPA when fresh. You would probably enjoy it.

There are now two videos I have seen showing this guy walk towards the Giants players and Beckham during warmups.  With the bat in his hand clearly talking trash to them.  Its certainly meant to be intimidating.  Why else would a football player have a BASEBALL BAT in his hands on a FOOTBALL field?
 

Beckham is an ass, I am not defending him, its just clear there are two sides to every story and the Carolina Panthers who I have liked all season have just lost me.  fuck em. 

 
The bat is pretty stupid but Beckham only has himself to blame. Lots of teams try stupid shit to mess with their opponents but good players don't let it get to them like this.
 
Pharm, it's my team so I'm sure I'm biased.  But in my experience there are two types of people in this world: people who own up to their shit and people who look to pass it off on anyone but them.  I don't have a lot of respect for the latter group.  Lord knows I work with enough of them.

I love ambers and like dopplebocks (Leinenkugel's Big Butt is my favorite of theirs), and also getting a little more into browns, though its not my favorite style. I'll definitely look up that Bigfoot one.

 
I don't care about it much either way, but I think I really hate the Panthers for doing something as dumb as carrying a baseball bat to "represent" somebody's "presence".

Didn't your team carry around an axe for the whole keep chopping wood nonsense? Maybe that was just when Schiano was at Rutgers.

A lot of teams have stupid stuff like that. Deciding an entire team has some sort of agenda because what a practice player did with a team prop in a way that does not look the least way threatening seems a bit odd.

 
Sim, the Panthers are partially to blame for Beckham almost taking out their best player on defense.  I say best player because he can shut down a #1 WR while the linebacker can only control so much but is equally as awesome.  Anyway it was clear Beckham is a very immature baby from the beginning and the Panthers clearly set him off.
